Game Description
The Joker, Batman's arch enemy, has instigated an elaborate plot from within Arkham Island, where many of Batman's other foes have been incarcerated. Batman investigates and comes to learn that the Joker is trying to create an army of Bane-like creatures to threaten Gotham City, and is forced to put a stop to the Joker's plans. Throughout the night, Batman is forced to deal with the temporarily admitted sane prisoners from Blackgate prison, Scarecrow, Zsasz, Poison Ivy, Bane, Killer Croc and Harley Quinn. By the night's end, all the villains, save Bane, Croc and Crane, are recaptured and placed back in their cells and what remains of the staff try putting the Asylum back in order. Though it is thanks to Batman that the criminally insane are brought back under control, administrator of Arkham, mayoral candidate Quincy Sharp, soon takes advantage and claims the credit himself for bringing the Arkham institution back under control.

I'm not sure if any of you experienced this but this game lowkey kinda creeped me and scared me, cause when I played this game I was like 6-8. The game still sometimes creeps me out cause of the music but this is honestly one of the main reasons why I loved this game. Like if you experienced the same. This game was absolutely amazing

When I was younger and played this game, at 3:20:50 I literally turned my Xbox off and didn’t return to the game for a few years because I was so scared of the insane people.

The Batman games are honestly one of the best games ever made. It’s Amazing Story, Great Detail, The Combat is Absolutely flawless and honestly the overall game for the time it was made in. Rocksteady was clearly ahead of its time. I think we should thank them tremendously for making such an impactful masterpiece to the Gaming Community and DC Fanatics. I am so glad, I played this brilliant game along with Arkham city. It will remain in history. It has to.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing when I first played this. Those cape and paper effects were mind blowing at the time! Think I must have been running dual 8800 GTXs, it was good times!
Back then I was so terrified of the Killer Croc level that I had to ask my older brother to complete it for me. I'm still a little scared of it today but I still had the guts to go inside the sewer maze itself.

My dad had bought the DLC included version of this game and I had no idea about it. So when the DLC bit rolled in, Joker was switching places with Batman, him driving Batman to the asylum while Batman was handcuffed. That was seriously fucked up to me as a little kid.

24:41-24:49. I like how Mark Hamill kind of channels Palpatine in The Return of the Jedi here. The Joker asks Batman to strike him down and end it all once and for all. This is similar to the way that Palpatine asks Luke Skywalker to end it all. Both characters are doing it in hopes of getting the hero to become morally compromised. I just think it’s really beautiful to see the juxtaposition between Mark’s Luke and Mark’s Joker in these two separate yet amazing moments.

Surprisingly the joker boss fight was one of the easiest boss fights out of all of them in my opinion

Because a lot of supperhero movies have this problem of the world feeling empty. You see it a lot with the MCU but it's in a few DC movies too.

I was 10 years old when i first played it in 2010. It was perfect i played every day i finished every thing to do every riddle but i couldn;t find the last amadeus arkham recording.
This game was real to me the characters were interesting the story the fact that i played where there were no internet guides for this game was a plus i had to figure everything on my own. Best batman game and one of my top 10

I'm going to agree with you but I'm going to have to throw in The Force Unleashed 1 & 2. Great games.
I still go back to this compared to all the arkham games just because there is a special feel to it. Almost as if it's like a Metroidvania where you are in an enclosed, small world where you have to repeatedly go around and do stuff. There's a certain charm to the way the game was put together.

The thing about this game is it was old so I was too scared to play some of the fights and the map was REEEEEALLY Big so I would get lost and rage quit

This game did more justice to Batman's character than any of the movies (especially Zack Snyder ones).

I expected more out of this game tbh. Wanted an open world where I could just go around and be Batman and do nothing else (like the Spider-Man games) but it got boring man. The combat was tough and nice and so were some of the bosses and the challenges, but the game's overall story line, it was okay-ish. Next up, Arkham City!

I really love the voice acting and the character dialogue and fighting in this game. The problems I have is the lack of intelligence for your enemies e.g. when you swing by an enemy or stand behind an enemey when joker is talking to them and he doesn't see it and acts like he was never there. The second problem is the way of getting through the map, while I'm watching this video i can see so many ways to get to places without even trying, like everything is right in front of or next to you.
Even though the game is old it's still cool for a 2009 game. Love it
