Wish I were young again and could do what you are doing, but being in poor health and 71 years young it would be impossible! Keep up the good work so I can watch you and dream about sharing this adventure. I lived on Marathon Florida as a kid and really enjoyed it. Thank you so much for bringing back the memories again. Love you Loran.
I enjoy your vlogs. The trawler life appeals to me for all the reasons you mentioned in an earlier vlog. I know it is alot of work but I appreciate the more frequent posts. Stay well.
What about boat security when you leave it anchored up, also your dingy? My wife and I are looking at a Meridian yacht and security is a big concern for me?
I can't believe I've never seen this channel before....I had no idea you guys stay in the same town...probably bumped shoulders at harbourside a dozen times.ill sub fo sho!!!!
Really nice to have come across your channel. I have been looking into living on a boat and travelling around for a while now and always see so many sailing video's. Sailing is nice but they are so small inside and also slow. I think it is a lifestyle choice. That said, they are free to use vs fuel so I see the appeal. I want to do the Great America Loop and also cruise around the Mediterranean for a while. Living in Australia at the moment and own a Tahoe Q6 ski boat. No overnight on that. Searay 260 next or something similar, diesel ideally. Anyway, great to see people making videos abut living on a non sail boat. Keep on rocking on. Was it easy to go over to the Bahamas from Florida? Does your boat handle rough weather ok?
Most wake boats use ballast bags that you fill with water when you wake-surf or wake-board. Some of these boats have 2 or 3 bags that can be filled to about 350 pounds of water weight each. The added weight near the rear causes the boat to sit deeper in the water, thus causing the bigger wake. You can also experiment with the trim and speed of the boat.
damn, my simplest answer, the stock market, I can earn upwards of a hundred bucks a day, just on my phone. I know 100 bucks a day, it ain't a lot, but it more than enough for this situation.
Tula's Endless Summer yeah, never invest in stocks over 4 bucks, you won't make any money with stocks more than that. And look carefully at the graph for the week, if it's steadily, and frequently getting higher in price buy it at a low point. I would recommend using stock trainer, it's an app which allows you to trade on the stock market without using real money. I use robinhood, it's very basic and good to start out on, but, eventually you will need to use websites like e-trade, or Scott trade. It's without a doubt the most efficient way of making big bucks, especially from home. And like I said always trade penny stocks, since you want big percent rises, which rarely occur with more expensive stocks. There are thousands of videos on TH-cam to help you with penny stock trading, and use that app for a while until you understand what works.
Sorry, but no. Penny Stocks are vulnerable to manipulation and bankruptcy. If you want steady income look at trading options, not stocks. Derivatives are the way to go in the market.
Teaching recreational things like kite surfing is not "hard work". It is never to be called "hard work". Hell, it can't even be called work. Being a soldier is hard work. Working from 6am to 4pm on roads, sewage, and water purification is hard work. Building the boats you travel on is hard work. Growing the food you buy with your play-time money is hard work. Teaching is not hard work. Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach. Get over yourself.
The work is as hard as the effort you put into it. Just like anything. You can sandbag being a soldier or a plumber in which case I would not call it "hard work".
Fair point. However, for those of us who _didn't_ slack as a soldier and have two combat ribbons to show for that, calling almost any of the sports "hard work" just gets eye-rolls. Or worse from those who are still serving in combat zones. To say noting of those who farm for a living. I know I'm not the only one who watches channels like your and BoatFam's with the idea of finally working hard enough to consider laying down the sword or plow and living the dream on a boat. Speaking of which, I don't think you ever did a video on how much you spend each month living on the boat. Excluding the repairs. (Again, that final repair you made to the deck looks boss.) Oh how much in gas you spent on the jaunt to the Bahamas. I think most people would be very surprised at how cheap it can be. Especially older retirees who have a part-time job just to live semi-comfortably in a shitty apartment that goes nowhere.
PelenTan So what is your opinion of NBA and NFL players. Are they hard workers? Do they deserve what they get paid? What about bankers and Wall Street traders that ruined the economy for the world by their greed and disregard for the rule of law, ?, what about union workers in car plants that only do one thing every five minutes? What is the correlation of pay to work done.? Does it matter? Dose it matter if the job is fun or horrible ? Does the pay make a difference? Do you want conscription for all? Would that make the world a better place? This a vblog by 2 beautiful people (& dog) who are sharing their life , if you don't like it don't watch. Personally they are an inspiration to me and I hope they can continue with their lifestyle for many years. If I'm really lucky I might be able to do something similar before I die if I can retire from my job as a small business owner with 12 employees relying on me for a pay check. Cheers Warren
NBA: pussies. NFL: semi-hard-working pussies. And no, none of those deserve what they get paid. Nor does anyone in the entertainment industry which is what those are part of. They are con-men and women. They cavort and dance on a stage for our entertainment. They produce _nothing_ of value and in fact distract many from what _is_ valuable. If everyone in the entertainment business died right this instance, there would be zero negative impact to society. None. Zero. Zilch. If all the farmers died, civilization dies. If the soldiers died, almost immediate collapse of civilization if not the entire human race. Banker and Wall Street traders? Yes, most of them work hard in my book. But unlike the coloring book you're working from, just because someone works hard doesn't mean they are "right" morally. Even Hitler worked hard to build what he created. Doesn't make it hard. On the flip side, just because someone is "right" morally, it doesn't mean they work hard. How many times have you heard someone talking about a career criminal and one of the things that is said was "If he had spent as much time and effort in a legal pursuit, he would be a millionaire"? And no, a good portion of the union worker I know of don't do a hard-days work, ever. My one friend here is the exception. The people he works with aren't. Just this last Friday their boss had a meeting and the slackers complained that the person who had cut the grass hadn't finished all the trimming that goes along with that job. The bossman said "wait... isn't that your job?" The guys said "yeah, but we didn't get to it so Bob (my friend) mowed everything." Bossman: "Bob, the guy who completed this, this, this, this, and this job scheduled for next week, also did your mowing job. But didn't get to the trimming." My friend just shook his head and left at that point.

Hi john :)
Great footage wakesurfing.
Love the music too.
Great video. Love the way y'all live
That's sick !! Wake surfing !!
Yes I too am enjoying your work. I appreciate your efforts. I'm curious if you ever have found someone on your boat? How do you prevent theft❓
What about boat security when you leave it anchored up, also your dingy? My wife and I are looking at a Meridian yacht and security is a big concern for me?
We lock the boat up and lock the dinghy to a piling with a vynil coated stainless cable.
That's where the second amendment comes in friend

Enjoy your vids. Wake surfing. I had no idea what that was. Wonder if I could do that behind a canoe?
If you had a really really really strong paddler...
Are ya busy next Tuesday?

never ever seen that super cool
Does that boat naturally make that size wake or is there a deflector of some type deployed ?

Yup, tons of ballast but also "trim tabs" on the side of the boat that deflect and shape the wake.
Wake surfing, never seen that, but, maybe that is what porpoises are doing. So maybe i have seen wake surfing.
nice
sweet
Did you pour milk in tea
How's your health care benefits
I pay the penalty and make sure I get plenty of vitamin D, exercise, and of course vitamin SEA! :-)
You mean the tax. You pay the tax.
Is it not a penalty?
i wish i didn't live in a freaking desert

bought nvda stock pretty late at $67, sold at $120. Decent profit.
