I have received a fake GA2100 as a gift from a relative who bought abroad. The service menu exists on the fake version too. The dead giveaway for my version were weird quality of the watch crystal and a much thicker back case. Function-wise the watch does match almost all of the actual features, although the ticking of the module seems to be a bit loud

Make sure you haven't compared it with fake products, because fake products can do the same thing ,
they have upgraded to version 3, it's extremely hard to detect a fake one

I have also the original, and the only différence is the thicness case .
If you have not a original to compar , it's impossible to see

Bought a fake one and it did that as well. The key weakness is the LED light is poorly made and did not illuminate the rest of the watch face like the original, and it’s much thicker compared to the original
the fact people make fake g shocks is crazy to me...

Yeah, I think so. It is not that much expensive to fake.
Well gshock is still considered expensive in some countries. Not something you can just throw money at and not worry about it

Hey guys, I do not think that this is applicable for the Bluetooth models. If it connects through the official Casio watches app, then it is a 💯 percent geniune
Relieved to know because the one I got for a tantalizingly low price connects to the App successfully even though its battery level is constantly ‘M’ (Medium)
I have one that seems to have Half of the fugazi indicators. Fat bottom cover,cheap screws,and the stamp on the strap latch says casio japan stamped a little bit crooked. Also,I wore it in the pool,and it leaked at two feet of depth. However,the movement indicated everything as shown here EXCEPT there are strange crosshatch lines over the LCD numbers in the window? Also the pushers seem to be made of a sub par metal.
I think 5590 may be the model number for the module.

I found out mine was fake, so I modded it! Why not? Full metal now! It is thiccc, but all the functions work, and now it is shiny. My only issue is that I cannot flip it (and I like to buy lot’s of watches -necessitating the sale of lot’s of watches).
i have a fake one i ordered for 32 euros from aliexpress and does that, so i think this is not a reliable method to know

However I am unable to switch back to normal mode .... Can you kindly assist .. even after pressing the start button
Press the 'start' button a few times and it will return to normal.
@@wristaction thanks for the info ...it didn't work .. ended up opening the watch and hit on the reset button . Probably the buttons were clogged as I found stains and dirt in the mechanism.

when i perform a 3 buttons test, my watch shows 5590 module number like yours, instead of 5611. Why?
I don't think 5590 is referring to the module number. It is 5611.
Yeh same with me the module nom on the back is 5611 I don't think it's representing the module number as they're not same for every watch
