Been keeping fish for over 20 years. My first set up was a Multi tank and I have had one going in some description for, pretty much, most of the time since. They are so entertaining and interesting. I would recommend them as a beginner fish without question (the only thing I would suggest is that you have hard, alkaline water).
does somebody know what the red patches of algea or something are at 3:36? I get these a lot in my aquarium and I can't find any method to get rid of them.
I have a 36 gallon bow front black/white sand capped dirted tank that will be moderately to heavily planted. Hygger Plant light, some pygmy chain sword and stem plants around the back...white sand pathway. How many Bolivian Rams do you think i put in this tank? How many if a did dither fish, corydora and few shrimp. btw since this seems to be an odd size tank when looking for stocking options should i use the 29 or 40 (bc its planted) gallon recommendations? Those seem to be the most common sizes recommendations are given on.
I’m setting up a plan to move fish around… I want to put a dozen red eye tetra, a dozen X-ray tetra and a dozen rummy nose in a 75g with some rams. I currently have a pair of blue german rams… so my question would be how many more rams can I safely add? Can I mix in different rams?
I have 25 litre tank with 3 guppies one kory and one gourami and I want to get one ram in is it going to be dangerous for the other fishes Thank you in advance 🙏🏽✌🏽
I made a big mistake. Putting a fully grown lake victoria cichlid in my juvenile peacoack cichlid tank. One of my favorite baby peacock was eaten by the new victoria cichlid. I underestimate how aggressive these cichlids are. Very sad. Hopefully, no one else don't make this mistake.

Which of these would you recommend for a 125 planted community tank? Just tetras and Corydoras in there so far. Looking to add to it but want it to stay peaceful.
there are plenty of solo cichlids suitable for tanks of this size. convicts, firemouths. polar parrots, ellioti, cutteri. geophagus steindachneri, electric blue acaras and more make decent solo fish
I have a 32 gallon fluval flex…… 🐠 tank ….. ive tryed apistos. But havent had good luck with them…. Most died…… 🥲. I got them shipped. So maybe the stress of being. Shipped…. Did them in ? Most died. Within a week of delivery…… water parimeters. Were okay….. i know they prefer a lowee ph.

Yep that would definitely work for shellies. Or for Lake Malawi - mbuna

I very successfully kept a firemouth in a 10-gallon. There were even a few smaller fish.
