I think the Trickstar is her parent because Ruby's song in The Devil's Chord is literally the Trickster's theme in SJA. BUT, I also think that the person who dropped Ruby off isn't even her parent, and that's how they will make it the Trickster but not reveal it this season.
I have a theory: she wasn't pointing at the doctor, she was pointing at the tardis. Maybe she was trying to WARN the doctor because she could see sutekh wrapped around it?
The Doctor told Kate Stewart that because he's a time traveler he could have raised his granddaughter before having his daughter. Basically saying as much is the case... meaning that the doctor hasn't had a daughter yet... Meaning that it's possible that Ruby is his daughter. And that Ruby will someday have Susan. Sort of like Amelia pond has River song. It's out of the doctor's timeline sequence of events

If it's the Doctor dropping off Ruby Sunday, then possibly him crossing his own time stream may have released Sutekh. Explains why there's another Tardis for Sutekh to latch on to.
What if whoever Is dropping Ruby off isn't Ruby's mam. It could be something where maybe something dramatic happens and her mother is killed or dies straight after her birth. Like maybe they come across a pregnant woman about to drop, when the baby is born the mother dies and says "Ruby road" that feels quite RTD level of heartache
I have a little theory about Susan Triad Technologies. The Dr said that he had the wrong anagram but this had me thinking. I think her last name , Triad, is still relevant. The is the Triad of Memphis : Ptah, Sekhmet* and Nefertem. Sekhmet is sometimes called the Eye of Ra and is known to be strong, mighty, violent. She also is clothed in red, Ruby.
Thinking about it: Maestro said there is hidden song but we heard the Trickster's theme before the hidden song... Could be the Trickster! Personally, I would go for Susan being related to Ruby considering the family arc and there's been too much focus around Susan this season. Plus, "the twist at the end": the doctor implied that he has a grand daughter before a daughter, my crazy thought is that Ruby could be Susan's mum. Having a knowledge of the future event Ruby was dropped at that church, and the hooded figure tried to warn the doctor about Sutekh by pointing at him. This implies to me that if it was the Trickster he would not try to warn the doctor about Sutekh. So I would rule it out but not completely. There's another personal thought I have concerning the pictures of old Ruby, (and even as seen in Unleashed episode) shows that she has a scar on her face, but during 73 yards we never were so close to see that.... why botter to do this?! We could see more of old Ruby, also strangely in Legend of Ruby, Kate and Unit people speaks in meters, why?! In UK you would normally not use meters to give a distance but yards... 66 meters is 73 yards, the hooded figure could be old Ruby 73 yards away from the Tardis and the doctor. Some sort timey-wimey event happened and the doctor went back a second time on Ruby Road when he disappeared during 73 yards...Could explain why the hooded figure stay away and does not reveal her face.
Two things can both be true at once. I think Susan is one parent, and the other is The Trickster who tricked Susan potentially. But I think Ruby is the Harbinger for Hecuba. Being the Queen of time, you most likely have the skill level to trap Sutekh again. And Susan is Mrs Flood in disguise. Maybe even with a perception filter or something. I don't know, they are just thoughts. We'll find out this week.
The use of Metres by UNIT is quite correct, and probably not a plot piece. The international metric system (SI) is the official, legal system for most purposes in the UK, including the armed forces. 68.58m is 75 yards. 66m would be 72.18 yards.
Really, I never heard people giving me a distance in meters. During covid I have never social distancing given in meters including in government's buildings or public spaces!!! For short distances and journey measurement it's imperial not metric, I believe. I also believe that military use both in UK. My believe is that Imperial units are officially used to specify journey distances, vehicle speeds and the sizes of returnable containers (milk, etc..)
People born before decimalisation tend to use imperial measurements for distance. I started primary school on the year decimalisation came into force. So I can use inches or centimetres but favour centimetres. For larger distances I was taught metres rather than yards. When learning to drive we use miles an hour and not kilometres per hour. So it depends.
My comment to 73 yards. This episode is in yards. Unit is talking and measuring the distance of old Ruby in yards. Kate the same character is giving the distance in yards. The software that Ruby uses given by unite mesures distance in yards. The same character Kate did not use metrics at all. 73 yards is 66.57 meters exactly. All of a sudden Kate speaks in meters... so yes I definitely think that this is strange. This is a two parter episode, RTD could have use meters instead to build up the mystery. Again old Ruby as a scar on her face, the fact that 73 yards was distance calculated by RTD on purpose, a distance you cannot the face good enough means something... you have lady you do not want her face to be seen closely and you decide to add a scar on her face? Why? Why would old Ruby have a scar on her face?
I think her Mom is the Bad Wolf, Rose when she was merged with the Heart of the Tardis. We know the Tardis is beyond the constraints of linear time and would know that she would be consumed by Sutekh at a later date so she places Ruby in the right place and time to be a a new heart
I’ve been wondering how the tardis reproduces as she is a living thing. We kinda see her do so with bad wolf (almost a child of the tardis) and river (who is called a child of the tardis). I’ve wondered is ruby is the child of the tardis as well.

Ruby is human as scanned by the doctor whilst she leaves the Tardis at the end of Space Babies at 46:24 - this might cancel out a lot of the theories. The genetic code given is JD6784 which corresponds to a homo sapien (human) species with an age of 19, and the scanner also tells us that.
The boots may be a clue that it’s the 13th Doctor, because it alludes to the Bootstrap Paradox (as explained by the 14th Doctor when he explains how he became Beethoven to get the music out to the world).
Backing the ruby is her own mother theory (at least for me, so far) is the parralels with the doctor as orphan/refugee presented in this new run. My hope is that'll also introduce the possibility as cannon that the timeless child might be an oroborous loop in itself as a consquence of cheating death on trenzalore.
This one might be a bit out there, but we know that the doctor has had a child admittingly via a clone making facility in "The Doctor's Daughter" obviously he still thinks they died but we never did find out about what happened to Jenny, perhaps, Ruby is Jenny after a regeneration and has somehow managed to wipe their own memory due to a chameleon arch?

Since there is 'always a twist at the end', what if the person delivering Ruby is just a Kind Woman, not her mother at all? It seems odd to assume that the person who dropped her at the church *must* be her mother

Liké i dont know maybe that woman found her abandonned Somewhere else and brought her here or maybe she was abducted or whatever ... About Trickster theory, there is some more evidence, in Devil's Chord Ruby sings notes that are used in the first episode with the trickster, +complicated stuff with Ruby possibly being part of Sutekhth plan to trap the doctor and his history of teaming up with other gods (in comics I think) it would make sense to call a god of traps to join in. BUT unlike Trickster hooded person has her hands and visible legs, which don't really correlate with the Trickster as we know him
I wouldn't put it past RTD to pull a swifty and make Ruby Mrs Flood's mother rather than her daughter. In that way Mrs Flood has already done the travel through time bit and ended up in the past in order to see her own mother grow up.
There has been rumours for over a year now that 13 will be appearing in RTD series. RTD said he would have loved to work with Jodie, so I think Jodie's doctor will return at some point
Perhaps the woman who brings Ruby to the church is not her mother at all, but someone who did it in order to set the story into motion, perhaps because they already knew that it had happened. Having said that I don’t think it's Ruby herself, the woman seems taller, but she seems to be hiding herself, perhaps knowing that she's being filmed (timey-wimey et all). There's another interesting bit about Ruby - following the Susan Twist thing being a Susan red herring, complete with the actress having her name, what did Maestro say about a song buried inside Ruby? A carol? As in Carole (Ann Ford)? Has RTD been playing the names and anagrams game with that too?

OK, crazy thought. Is Mrs. Flood Jenny? (I just re-watched The Doctor's Daughter and thought "Wait -- he's got another daughter out there...") Jenny had "regeneration energy" but didn't regenerate, so there's every reason to believe she would age and eventually die. Jenny was gorgeous, and Mrs. Flood is gorgeous for a woman in her 70s or 80s. Jenny was shorter that Mrs. Flood, but she was newborn and might have had a growth spurt like she suggested to Ruby. While I think it's more likely Mrs. Flood is an old Ruby or someone else entirely, I'm pretty sure Jenny will pop up again sometime.
I bet the comment on "what is the memory of a tardis?" in the time window was a foreshadowing of Ruby going in it while being stuck in the time window room and it being linked to the memory tardis that we've been seeing all the past drs and companions. Would be awesome.
Why does everyone assume the woman dropping off ruby is her mother. She could just be the equivalent of a delivery driver, dropping off an important package lol
who is her mother? actually in terms of what we know on screen people are focusing a lot on a different question - who is the person who leaves ruby at the church? that person is, based on what we can see in 'ruby road', female, not old, white, slim to average build, not short or notably tall, appears to have slim lips and a slim nose, and visible knuckles (ie not chubby fingers). that's not a ton to go on. the only prominent character we know of in the story that could, 20 years ago, fit that description is susan triad. susan is not a 'bad person' just one that, like in pyramids of mars, gets posessed and used to do evil for sutekh. but that would suggest she's likely dead now. :-/ oops. except maybe not because she maybe is the tardis in human form. her 'posession' in human form parallels the tardis being 'posessed' by sutekh in jackal form. way more interesting, and thisjust might tie in to the triad thing... in pyramids of mars the eye of horus glows red. like... ruby red. or is it rose red... or maybe cherry red? not sure. Its one of that triad of reds anyway. the eye kept sutekh trapped. the eye got destroyed. so now the fragments, if they can be reconnected and healed (as I remember you'll need the milk of a gazelle for that!) they can re-trap sutekh. but the bits are on mars and likely you'll need a timelord to collect them and seed them into the doctor's timeline - ruby, rose and cherry. why the hell, after all, do we need rose in the story? why is mrs flood focused in on cherry? and while we can say rose has a reason to be there, she's focused on finding her mother, not on the sutekh problem. all three seem peripheral to the sutekh story. which is why they are essential you heard it here first
So my theory with the whole reveal that the doctor doesnt have a child yet cause timelord stuff, is what if thats River? It HAS to be someone we know. They keep her face hidden too much to be a new character. It could be during her time with Capaldi's doc at the singing towers she became pregnant. Then before going to the library, she leaves her child at the church. The reason she doesn't tell the doctor is because she knows he doesn't want to bring people into his life in a dangerous way. Idk. Silly theory. But would be cool.
I find it very odd and bizarre that the doctor says he doesn’t have kids yet unless Ncuti is an alt u doctor. Ten spoke of having had kids in the past (not grandkids) so it makes no sense that he doesn’t have them yet. Ten knew his kids (and so did two). As far as the woman being ruby I agree. It’s all a distraction to defeat sutekh. Ruby is a trap but not for the doctor. She’s a trap for sutekh. She could be a baby farm baby.

The Doctor said “he didn’t have kids yet” could mean he’s talking about his personal timeline as in he just didn’t conceive he’s kids yet, but could know them as a different name or wasn’t galifrey supposed to be in far future so in the sense of world timeline he hasn’t had kids yet as in that it’s not the physical year he had kids.

Heres a crazy theory for you. In the Christmas special Donna survived because of a "shared inheritance" with her daughter Rose. What if a smilar thing is true for Ruby. What if Bad Wolf is actually an Elder god in the same way that Sutekh is, and when Rose Tyler looked into the heart of the Tardis she became the avatar of Bad Wolf. Later she and the meta crisis doctor have a child and she is dropped of at the church on Ruby Road by Rose. After Eccleston absorbs the energy from Rose all she can remember is singing in her head. Remember Maestro said Ruby had a hidden song in her heart, could this be the bad wolf song remembered by Rose Tyler? Bad Wolf had the ability to reshape reality, and this could explain the snow, Ruby is subconsciously using her shared inhrritance to recreate her earliest memory, the snow falling the night she was left at the church. Seems like a very RTD thing to do.
Whoever Ruby's mum is - I think RTD will want to nail down the idea that Carla was the mum who stepped up and raised her so I think the answer she finds will be dissatisfying

Ruby’s mother is Sian Clifford, the Kind Woman. She points at the doctor because it’s his fault that she had to give up her child. Dropping her off at the church on Ruby Road was necessary for some reason, because something something being exposed to Sutekh on that night will give Ruby the power she needs to defeat him.
Ruby is Susan, the doctor's granddaughter, her mother is Jenny, the doctor's daughter, she doesn't even realise she is a timelord because she is on her first incarnation. She changes her name to Susan so that the doctor recognise her name from his past. It's all timey-whimey.
I bet it's the trickster is the cloaked figure, the music from The Devil Cord was the same one that they used in the Sarah Jane adventures when Sarah gave the memory cube to Maria, which helped her remember Sarah when she was basically erased from everyone memory after the incident on that pier when they were kids. I think I saw somewhere that Russell wants to reuse the Sky storyline again. so I betting it has to be him. Even before the legend of Ruby Sunday, I was guessing the one who waits was either Suetkeh or the Trickster. The synopsis did say that one woman will save the day (unless there's another twist and it's actually Susan Triad who saves the day). Given that we have only 8 episodes and a huge budget,I think the answer depends on which of the final episode versions they've probably shot. Ruby's mother could be connected with Osiris, the Osirians, Rah (Sun Day, and gods can make sure their offspring wind up with the right family name.) "Evil! Evil since the dawn of time!" Sounds like "the oldest one" to me, so there could still be a Fenric connection (some incidental music red herrings on previous episodes suggested that possibility, subconsciously) Is Ruby's mother The Doctor? It's possible twice over, given both bigeneration and the line of dialogue about the Doctor yet to be a father (despite already claiming to be one. Now that's a paradox!) The 14th Doctor could easily regenerate onto the Curator, and another Jodie Whittaker incarnation and hell even Merlin and ultimately the Valeyard. Moving on... Now introduce yourself to Rakija (fruit brandy) and take some headache pills, you'll need them to believe this idea. Ruby is the Doctor, which is why her mother points. Her mother is telling the Doctor that Ruby is himself. Ruby becomes the Timeless Child and somehow gets her abilities to chest death (Sutekh) by regeneration. Who in this context is Ruby's mother? Rah, the Sun God.

I’d like it to be The Trickster, but I just do not think they have the time to include them within the confines of the story with Sutekh. If they were going to tweak it they could have Ruby’s mother give up Ruby in return for living as a deal with The Trickster (that being Mrs Flood cos why not) but I fear this would undermine Rubys found family with Carla and Cherry.
My theory is Ruby's 'Mum' is Ruby from the 73 yards timeline, hence why we can't see her face, creating a paradox or something harming the timestream, allowing Sutekinto ours, as ruby is her own mum
An Osirin that makes sense is the mother is Isis. In mythology, she gives birth to Horus the enemy of Sutekh. Isis also hid herself from Set during her pregnancy with Horus. So my guess Isis gave birth to Horus' sister who will pick up her brother's reins and defeat Sutekh.

This is one theory I have, and could be an element of truth to, Bi-regeneration according to Russle T Davies happened to every doctor down the regenerations at that moment in time, so what if it’s Jodi Whitaker’s doctor dropping ruby off and turning away crying because her parents were killed during the flux, reason because ncuti gatwa will not have any memory because of the bi regeneration, can still be any one’s child just might not actually be her mother dropping her at the church.
As the last episode is still in the future for me I'm going to share some theories I ran out of time for sharing before I find out if I'm right or wrong by watching it. Firstly, as you are clearly aware but don't explicitly say here the figure does not have to be Ruby's mum, it's just someone or something, Ruby is just assuming it is her mum because she wants it to be. I think. Secondly you maybe missed that who/what it is COULD BE CHANGING with the time/memory flips, The Doctor, my memory of this keeps changing, time keeps changing, and of course time is always in flux for the Doctor and company because of The Doctor and others meddling with it. I think it is different things with different flips of various time switches, things that do or do not happen and maybe characters/ entities that do or do not exist or that live or die in these different possibilities. Would explain the fuzziness, lack of visibility, perhaps also true of '73 Yards'' mystery figure. perhaps alluded to by the snow and the snow of the videotape. So the true answer might actually be 'some of the above', at one point would it not also be the current doctor as he saves baby Ruby from the goblins and returns her? So Ruby could have been placed there at the same time several times but in different 'changed' timelines (another timeless child in this respect) where each placement is sequential yet not sequential in a very time travel kinda way, yup, the bootstrap paradox again, a moment happening before and after and before and after etc itself. that out of sync clock does after all show 308, 8 for infinity and loops? I think ONE of these variations in who it is is the trickster as the character points which is the Tricksters changing/ unexisting things etc signature move. I won't TLDR this even more with all the links but there are loads across all series of The Sarah Jane Adventures, check the trickster's doings in that, they are interested in Sarah Jane's memories to eliminate The Doctor and SJS is in The Pyramids of Mars thus also linked to Sutekh encounters. Everything about the Trickster totally fits them actually being in this storyline. They get one of Sarah Jane's childhood friends to swap deaths with her, they use her unknown parents as a lure to trap and trick her, Trickster can use changes in history and weak unstable points in timelines to manifest physically through changing something, Maria ceases to exist due to trickster, Sky was a trickster trap and (was to be revealed as) its daughter. Left as a baby for SJS to find. Links thematically to twinning and possible duality per how this may tie in to Sutekh maybe having twin aspects. Goodbye Sarah Jane Smith had a 'replacement' for SJS enemy Ruby White (but those Ruby White links more thematic than tied in I feel unless it was to also be revealed the trickster aided this character). The trickster tells SJS I am nothing which echoes Sutekh's arrival speech (Sutekh also says 'I am the loss' as Ruby Sunday looks at the mystery and-or mother figure, the UNIT victim said 'I am lost' and this would fit the trickster taking people out of timelines and the loss caused by death.) Also fits things like the not things having no physical form trying to manifest as with Sutekh and others, plus death as death leaves just dust and memory, perhaps soul or spirit, but no physical form.
What if and this maybe a long shot....but....what if.....???? So, you said in the video that the Susan Foreman is the the doctors granddaughter which we all know, but we dont know her parents as they met out of order. But i have 2 theories. Either Susan had a child and it was Ruby, or Rubys mother is the 10th Doctors daughter Jenny. Would make sense considering the Doctor has mentioned his granddaughter as this time, Ruby could also be his granddaughter. Jenny could have travelled through time, come across Susan Foreman, (Mrs Flood) and then later has a baby who is Ruby.
Mrs. Flood's name might be a Biblical allusion referring to the flood in the Book of Genesis that wipes the slate clean and life on Earth can start anew. My theory is that Mrs Flood and Ruby are the reset switch that reboots the Universe after Sutekh destroys everything.
I feel like this is the trickster. I mean just look at the outfit it definitely gives those vibes and the trickster plus if the God of death is here then it would make sense for the trickster to be here too because he appears to people who are about to die. It would be a field day for him remember we’ve all been assuming that the hooded figure is Ruby‘s mother but it could be her father the trickster that’s why she has God like abilities as for who the mother could be it could be Susan, but I don’t think so Susan Would be like Sarah Jane to clever to trick

Looking back at Space Babies being the first episode is starting to make sense to me. It seemed like a nonsense episode but I think it ties into who/ what Ruby is.
I'll be honest. I was dubious of Sutekh when you first mentioned it. But with Ruby I am certain I have a grasp on this. I think the Woman under the robe, is Not Ruby's mother. It's Mrs Flood. And that some future story will see a younger Mrs Flood being given the baby by either The Doctor, or some other clearly alien. ie; next season she has to look for her mum in space
The theory I think is most likely is that Ruby’s mother is the 13th Doctor, The reason I say that is that after The Giggle aired Russell said during the commentary for it ‘every Doctor bi-generated as well in their own personal timeline at the same location they originally regenerated’ so my theory is that if that’s true maybe 13 awoke on that cliff edge and sometime later somehow conceived Ruby? Plus the Doc Martens boots are very similar to 13’s ones so I think dismissing this theory immediately ain’t exactly fair

What you said about Ruby going off with her mum, I have thought maybe Ruby joins the Coal Hill Defenders to help them recover after defeating the Weeping Angels and Governors and to form a more capable alien fighting team (like how Echo left the Bad Batch to help Rex form the Clone Rebellion in Season 2 of The Bad Batch). I've been thinking along similar lines and I'm really hoping Ruby's mum is Susan Foreman (not Triad, she was probably just a bait for the Doctor) because I'd love to see Carole Ann Ford again, but I think it's unlikely since Ford is 84 years old and they would have to de-age her a bit in order to play Ruby's mum who would be middle aged in 2024 - even younger in 2004 (assuming she ages like humans do). It might be the 13th doctor because she does wear those shoes, but that's probably just a red herring. It wouldn't make sense to involve the Trickster in this since we already have Sutekh - and I don't think either of them are Ruby's parent. It can't be Harriet Arbinger because Ruby's mum is white. Mrs Flood - maybe. She might be an older version of Ruby coem back to keep an eye on herself. Just because she doesn't look like old Ruby from 74 Yards, she might be. Or she is Susan regenerated (I hope not because I'm really hoping for Carole Ann Ford to appear). And Ruby herself? I hope not. Maybe the mum is Jenny?

I think the Trickstar is her parent because Ruby's song in The Devil's Chord is literally the Trickster's theme in SJA. BUT, I also think that the person who dropped Ruby off isn't even her parent, and that's how they will make it the Trickster but not reveal it this season.

Basically saying as much is the case... meaning that the doctor hasn't had a daughter yet... Meaning that it's possible that Ruby is his daughter. And that Ruby will someday have Susan. Sort of like Amelia pond has River song. It's out of the doctor's timeline sequence of events

If it's the Doctor dropping off Ruby Sunday, then possibly him crossing his own time stream may have released Sutekh. Explains why there's another Tardis for Sutekh to latch on to.
What if whoever Is dropping Ruby off isn't Ruby's mam. It could be something where maybe something dramatic happens and her mother is killed or dies straight after her birth. Like maybe they come across a pregnant woman about to drop, when the baby is born the mother dies and says "Ruby road" that feels quite RTD level of heartache

I have a little theory about Susan Triad Technologies. The Dr said that he had the wrong anagram but this had me thinking. I think her last name , Triad, is still relevant. The is the Triad of Memphis : Ptah, Sekhmet* and Nefertem.
Sekhmet is sometimes called the Eye of Ra and is known to be strong, mighty, violent. She also is clothed in red, Ruby.
Thinking about it: Maestro said there is hidden song but we heard the Trickster's theme before the hidden song... Could be the Trickster!
Personally, I would go for Susan being related to Ruby considering the family arc and there's been too much focus around Susan this season. Plus, "the twist at the end": the doctor implied that he has a grand daughter before a daughter, my crazy thought is that Ruby could be Susan's mum. Having a knowledge of the future event Ruby was dropped at that church, and the hooded figure tried to warn the doctor about Sutekh by pointing at him. This implies to me that if it was the Trickster he would not try to warn the doctor about Sutekh. So I would rule it out but not completely.
There's another personal thought I have concerning the pictures of old Ruby, (and even as seen in Unleashed episode) shows that she has a scar on her face, but during 73 yards we never were so close to see that.... why botter to do this?! We could see more of old Ruby, also strangely in Legend of Ruby, Kate and Unit people speaks in meters, why?! In UK you would normally not use meters to give a distance but yards... 66 meters is 73 yards, the hooded figure could be old Ruby 73 yards away from the Tardis and the doctor. Some sort timey-wimey event happened and the doctor went back a second time on Ruby Road when he disappeared during 73 yards...Could explain why the hooded figure stay away and does not reveal her face.
Two things can both be true at once. I think Susan is one parent, and the other is The Trickster who tricked Susan potentially.
But I think Ruby is the Harbinger for Hecuba. Being the Queen of time, you most likely have the skill level to trap Sutekh again. And Susan is Mrs Flood in disguise. Maybe even with a perception filter or something.

Really, I never heard people giving me a distance in meters. During covid I have never social distancing given in meters including in government's buildings or public spaces!!!
For short distances and journey measurement it's imperial not metric, I believe. I also believe that military use both in UK.
My believe is that Imperial units are officially used to specify journey distances, vehicle speeds and the sizes of returnable containers (milk, etc..)
People born before decimalisation tend to use imperial measurements for distance. I started primary school on the year decimalisation came into force.
So I can use inches or centimetres but favour centimetres. For larger distances I was taught metres rather than yards. When learning to drive we use miles an hour and not kilometres per hour. So it depends.

I think her Mom is the Bad Wolf, Rose when she was merged with the Heart of the Tardis. We know the Tardis is beyond the constraints of linear time and would know that she would be consumed by Sutekh at a later date so she places Ruby in the right place and time to be a a new heart

This one might be a bit out there, but we know that the doctor has had a child admittingly via a clone making facility in "The Doctor's Daughter" obviously he still thinks they died but we never did find out about what happened to Jenny, perhaps, Ruby is Jenny after a regeneration and has somehow managed to wipe their own memory due to a chameleon arch?

About Trickster theory, there is some more evidence, in Devil's Chord Ruby sings notes that are used in the first episode with the trickster, +complicated stuff with Ruby possibly being part of Sutekhth plan to trap the doctor and his history of teaming up with other gods (in comics I think) it would make sense to call a god of traps to join in. BUT unlike Trickster hooded person has her hands and visible legs, which don't really correlate with the Trickster as we know him
I wouldn't put it past RTD to pull a swifty and make Ruby Mrs Flood's mother rather than her daughter. In that way Mrs Flood has already done the travel through time bit and ended up in the past in order to see her own mother grow up.

Perhaps the woman who brings Ruby to the church is not her mother at all, but someone who did it in order to set the story into motion, perhaps because they already knew that it had happened. Having said that I don’t think it's Ruby herself, the woman seems taller, but she seems to be hiding herself, perhaps knowing that she's being filmed (timey-wimey et all). There's another interesting bit about Ruby - following the Susan Twist thing being a Susan red herring, complete with the actress having her name, what did Maestro say about a song buried inside Ruby? A carol? As in Carole (Ann Ford)? Has RTD been playing the names and anagrams game with that too?

OK, crazy thought. Is Mrs. Flood Jenny? (I just re-watched The Doctor's Daughter and thought "Wait -- he's got another daughter out there...") Jenny had "regeneration energy" but didn't regenerate, so there's every reason to believe she would age and eventually die. Jenny was gorgeous, and Mrs. Flood is gorgeous for a woman in her 70s or 80s. Jenny was shorter that Mrs. Flood, but she was newborn and might have had a growth spurt like she suggested to Ruby. While I think it's more likely Mrs. Flood is an old Ruby or someone else entirely, I'm pretty sure Jenny will pop up again sometime.
I bet the comment on "what is the memory of a tardis?" in the time window was a foreshadowing of Ruby going in it while being stuck in the time window room and it being linked to the memory tardis that we've been seeing all the past drs and companions. Would be awesome.

actually in terms of what we know on screen people are focusing a lot on a different question - who is the person who leaves ruby at the church?
that person is, based on what we can see in 'ruby road', female, not old, white, slim to average build, not short or notably tall, appears to have slim lips and a slim nose, and visible knuckles (ie not chubby fingers). that's not a ton to go on. the only prominent character we know of in the story that could, 20 years ago, fit that description is susan triad. susan is not a 'bad person' just one that, like in pyramids of mars, gets posessed and used to do evil for sutekh. but that would suggest she's likely dead now. :-/ oops. except maybe not because she maybe is the tardis in human form. her 'posession' in human form parallels the tardis being 'posessed' by sutekh in jackal form.

So my theory with the whole reveal that the doctor doesnt have a child yet cause timelord stuff, is what if thats River? It HAS to be someone we know. They keep her face hidden too much to be a new character. It could be during her time with Capaldi's doc at the singing towers she became pregnant. Then before going to the library, she leaves her child at the church. The reason she doesn't tell the doctor is because she knows he doesn't want to bring people into his life in a dangerous way. I find it very odd and bizarre that the doctor says he doesn’t have kids yet unless Ncuti is an alt u doctor. Ten spoke of having had kids in the past (not grandkids) so it makes no sense that he doesn’t have them yet. Ten knew his kids (and so did two). As far as the woman being ruby I agree. The Doctor said “he didn’t have kids yet” could mean he’s talking about his personal timeline as in he just didn’t conceive he’s kids yet, but could know them as a different name or wasn’t galifrey supposed to be in far future so in the sense of world timeline he hasn’t had kids yet as in that it’s not the physical year he had kids.

Heres a crazy theory for you. In the Christmas special Donna survived because of a "shared inheritance" with her daughter Rose. What if a smilar thing is true for Ruby.
What if Bad Wolf is actually an Elder god in the same way that Sutekh is, and when Rose Tyler looked into the heart of the Tardis she became the avatar of Bad Wolf. Later she and the meta crisis doctor have a child and she is dropped of at the church on Ruby Road by Rose.
After Eccleston absorbs the energy from Rose all she can remember is singing in her head. Remember Maestro said Ruby had a hidden song in her heart, could this be the bad wolf song remembered by Rose Tyler?
Bad Wolf had the ability to reshape reality, and this could explain the snow, Ruby is subconsciously using her shared inhrritance to recreate her earliest memory, the snow falling the night she was left at the church.

Ruby’s mother is Sian Clifford, the Kind Woman. She points at the doctor because it’s his fault that she had to give up her child. Dropping her off at the church on Ruby Road was necessary for some reason, because something something being exposed to Sutekh on that night will give Ruby the power she needs to defeat him.
Ruby is Susan, the doctor's granddaughter, her mother is Jenny, the doctor's daughter, she doesn't even realise she is a timelord because she is on her first incarnation. She changes her name to Susan so that the doctor recognise her name from his past. It's all timey-whimey.
I bet it's the trickster is the cloaked figure, the music from The Devil Cord was the same one that they used in the Sarah Jane adventures when Sarah gave the memory cube to Maria, which helped her remember Sarah when she was basically erased from everyone memory after the incident on that pier when they were kids. I think I saw somewhere that Russell wants to reuse the Sky storyline again. so I betting it has to be him. Even before the legend of Ruby Sunday, I was guessing the one who waits was either Suetkeh or the Trickster.
However, if it is not the trickster then I guess Ruby's mother is a new character (maybe the kind person from the cast list) and is also the one who saves the day. The synopsis did say that one woman will save the day (unless there's another twist and it's actually Susan Triad who saves the day). I’d like it to be The Trickster, but I just do not think they have the time to include them within the confines of the story with Sutekh. If they were going to tweak it they could have Ruby’s mother give up Ruby in return for living as a deal with The Trickster (that being Mrs Flood cos why not) but I fear this would undermine Rubys found family with Carla and Cherry.
My theory is Ruby's 'Mum' is Ruby from the 73 yards timeline, hence why we can't see her face, creating a paradox or something harming the timestream, allowing Sutekinto ours, as ruby is her own mum
An Osirin that makes sense is the mother is Isis. In mythology, she gives birth to Horus the enemy of Sutekh. Isis also hid herself from Set during her pregnancy with Horus. So my guess Isis gave birth to Horus' sister who will pick up her brother's reins and defeat Sutekh.

This is one theory I have, and could be an element of truth to, Bi-regeneration according to Russle T Davies happened to every doctor down the regenerations at that moment in time, so what if it’s Jodi Whitaker’s doctor dropping ruby off and turning away crying because her parents were killed during the flux, reason because ncuti gatwa will not have any memory because of the bi regeneration, can still be any one’s child just might not actually be her mother dropping her at the church.
As the last episode is still in the future for me I'm going to share some theories I ran out of time for sharing before I find out if I'm right or wrong by watching it.
Firstly, as you are clearly aware but don't explicitly say here the figure does not have to be Ruby's mum, it's just someone or something, Ruby is just assuming it is her mum because she wants it to be. I think.
Secondly you maybe missed that who/what it is COULD BE CHANGING with the time/memory flips, The Doctor, my memory of this keeps changing, time keeps changing, and of course time is always in flux for the Doctor and company because of The Doctor and others meddling with it. I think it is different things with different flips of various time switches, things that do or do not happen and maybe characters/ entities that do or do not exist or that live or die in these different possibilities. Would explain the fuzziness, lack of visibility, perhaps also true of '73 Yards'' mystery figure. perhaps alluded to by the snow and the snow of the videotape.
So the true answer might actually be 'some of the above', at one point would it not also be the current doctor as he saves baby Ruby from the goblins and returns her? So Ruby could have been placed there at the same time several times but in different 'changed' timelines (another timeless child in this respect) where each placement is sequential yet not sequential in a very time travel kinda way, yup, the bootstrap paradox again, a moment happening before and after and before and after etc itself. that out of sync clock does after all show 308, 8 for infinity and loops?
I think ONE of these variations in who it is is the trickster as the character points which is the Tricksters changing/ unexisting things etc signature move. I won't TLDR this even more with all the links but there are loads across all series of The Sarah Jane Adventures, check the trickster's doings in that, they are interested in Sarah Jane's memories to eliminate The Doctor and SJS is in The Pyramids of Mars thus also linked to Sutekh encounters. Everything about the Trickster totally fits them actually being in this storyline. They get one of Sarah Jane's childhood friends to swap deaths with her, they use her unknown parents as a lure to trap and trick her, Trickster can use changes in history and weak unstable points in timelines to manifest physically through changing something, Maria ceases to exist due to trickster, Sky was a trickster trap and (was to be revealed as) its daughter. Left as a baby for SJS to find. Links thematically to twinning and possible duality per how this may tie in to Sutekh maybe having twin aspects. Goodbye Sarah Jane Smith had a 'replacement' for SJS enemy Ruby White (but those Ruby White links more thematic than tied in I feel unless it was to also be revealed the trickster aided this character).
The trickster tells SJS I am nothing which echoes Sutekh's arrival speech (Sutekh also says 'I am the loss' as Ruby Sunday looks at the mystery and-or mother figure, the UNIT victim said 'I am lost' and this would fit the trickster taking people out of timelines and the loss caused by death.) Also fits things like the not things having no physical form trying to manifest as with Sutekh and others, plus death as death leaves just dust and memory, perhaps soul or spirit, but no physical form.
What if and this maybe a long shot....but....what if.....????
So, you said in the video that the Susan Foreman is the the doctors granddaughter which we all know, but we dont know her parents as they met out of order. But i have 2 theories.
Either Susan had a child and it was Ruby, or Rubys mother is the 10th Doctors daughter Jenny. Would make sense considering the Doctor has mentioned his granddaughter as this time, Ruby could also be his granddaughter. Jenny could have travelled through time, come across Susan Foreman, (Mrs Flood) and then later has a baby who is Ruby.

I think mrs flood is river song but an older version of her as river song can’t regenerate anymore as she gave her regeneration to the doctor
Mrs. Flood's name might be a Biblical allusion referring to the flood in the Book of Genesis that wipes the slate clean and life on Earth can start anew. My theory is that Mrs Flood and Ruby are the reset switch that reboots the Universe after Sutekh destroys everything.
I feel like this is the trickster. I mean just look at the outfit it definitely gives those vibes and the trickster plus if the God of death is here then it would make sense for the trickster to be here too because he appears to people who are about to die. It would be a field day for him remember we’ve all been assuming that the hooded figure is Ruby‘s mother but it could be her father the trickster that’s why she has God like abilities as for who the mother could be it could be Susan, but I don’t think so Susan Would be like Sarah Jane to clever to trick
Or maybe they’re at war if the trickster is only able to talk to people who are almost dead then maybe he’s using the God of death two get a bunch of people under his control make them immune and go to war with his daughter by his side that would be something maybe to get rid of them Ruby will have to make the trickster erase sutekh as he is touched by him destroying them both
Looking back at Space Babies being the first episode is starting to make sense to me. It seemed like a nonsense episode but I think it ties into who/ what Ruby is.
I'll be honest. I was dubious of Sutekh when you first mentioned it. But with Ruby I am certain I have a grasp on this. I think the Woman under the robe, is Not Ruby's mother. It's Mrs Flood. And that some future story will see a younger Mrs Flood being given the baby by either The Doctor, or some other clearly alien. ie; next season she has to look for her mum in space

The theory I think is most likely is that Ruby’s mother is the 13th Doctor, The reason I say that is that after The Giggle aired Russell said during the commentary for it ‘every Doctor bi-generated as well in their own personal timeline at the same location they originally regenerated’ so my theory is that if that’s true maybe 13 awoke on that cliff edge and sometime later somehow conceived Ruby? Plus the Doc Martens boots are very similar to 13’s ones so I think dismissing this theory immediately ain’t exactly fair

What you said about Ruby going off with her mum, I have thought maybe Ruby joins the Coal Hill Defenders to help them recover after defeating the Weeping Angels and Governors and to form a more capable alien fighting team (like how Echo left the Bad Batch to help Rex form the Clone Rebellion in Season 2 of The Bad Batch).

Interesting theories. I've been thinking along similar lines and I'm really hoping Ruby's mum is Susan Foreman (not Triad, she was probably just a bait for the Doctor) because I'd love to see Carole Ann Ford again, but I think it's unlikely since Ford is 84 years old and they would have to de-age her a bit in order to play Ruby's mum who would be middle aged in 2024 - even younger in 2004 (assuming she ages like humans do). It might be the 13th doctor because she does wear those shoes, but that's probably just a red herring. It wouldn't make sense to involve the Trickster in this since we already have Sutekh - and I don't think either of them are Ruby's parent. It can't be Harriet Arbinger because Ruby's mum is white. Mrs Flood - maybe. She might be an older version of Ruby coem back to keep an eye on herself. Just because she doesn't look like old Ruby from 74 Yards, she might be. Or she is Susan regenerated (I hope not because I'm really hoping for Carole Ann Ford to appear). And Ruby herself? I hope not.
