    Thanks for sharing. I'm a disabled veteran and I was recently diagnosed with arthritis in both of my hands. I could not ride my Road Glide for a few months because I cannot use my clutch in traffic anymore. I'm very motivated to install a Rekluse on my bike to help me with traffic!

      had a wrist surgery after a non bike related accident. ended up fused with steel plate and a dozen screws. the Rekluse RadiusX is a lifesaver in heavy traffic. saves my wrist every day!

      I don’t know why more riders don’t do this? The best upgrade out there.

    Been contemplating this one myself. Did the AIM V3, don’t like it vibrates and increases lever pressure as rpm goes up. Running stock clutch with heavier HD SE springs, did 350 miles of traffic and highway on last week Sunday, clutch hand was killing me. Carpal surgeries helped but slow recovery on grip strength. Will look into this one. Side note, I ceramic coated the header pipe, and added DEI heat shield inserts, this 122 stg4 should be warmer than the previous 114 and 117 builds but it is not.

      @hoseclampehhh That sucks on the AIM and still vibrating pressure. I had upgraded my 2019 Ultra M8 to a 122 ci kit and I have the reduced reach soft brake clutch with a rekluse slave cylinder, and I love the smoothness and light lever pull. I am also contemplating this clutch, but we shall see.

    So I see that there is a kit from recluse and it’s about $1200 for the auto clutch. Did you have to buy anything else aftermarket to make it work or did it drop right into the OME Harley Davison housing ???

    I desperately need this mod I have to navigate a dangerous hill with a blind bend at the top, when leaving my home, I need to use the friction zone to keep a slower speed for safeties sake . would this help me maintain a slower speed on a steep hill? I might have to invest in this. Thanks Ron.

    • @RealRonTV

      Mike put it this way… you let go of the clutch and it just idles. It won’t stall at all so you can go as slow as possible without having to worry about that.

    Hi. I had this a Rekluse Clutch installed on my H-D RG3 when I bought it. And it has failed twice now in about 1,000+ miles. I was told when I got it that I had to shift like I would normally, so have been. But wondering if maybe that was the problem. Yours seems to be working properly. I am so frustrated that I'm considering selling the bike altogether. Any recommendations on what may be wrong? Should I just let it shift completely on it's own and not use the clutch?

    • @RealRonTV
      @RealRonTV  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      How did it fail?

    • @mkingviehland
      @mkingviehland 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@RealRonTV, burned out. Twice. I initially thought it was installed improperly the first time, but let the H-D dealer install the replacement again since they offered to do it as no cost. Got on the phone with Rekluse afterwards and the free play gain was non-existent. They walked my husband and I through how to adjust it and we did. I thought I was all good. Followed their guide to the letter. Took it in for a 1,000 mile service (different dealer) and the new H-D dealer (where my husband got his bike from) said it was burned out again. They initially said it was installed improperly, but then backed away from it (probably trying to avoid getting in the middle of a potential suit). So now, Rekluse, to their credit, is replacing the clutch a second time at no cost but I have to pay the new dealer to install it and I am wondering if maybe I just suck at shifting?!?! LOL. No, but seriously, it is really frustrating and I am not sure what is happening.

      @@mkingviehland if you don’t have enough free play it will burn out the clutch. Have you tried making adjustments and checking the free play every so often? How much torque is this bike pushing?

    • @mkingviehland
      @mkingviehland 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@RealRonTV, yes, we check the free play gain monthly, though maybe we should be testing it weekly. I hate to admit I have no idea about the torque.

    I am confused... I will have to research how this works. No more clutch pull, just using the shift lever?

    • @RealRonTV
      @RealRonTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      No the clutch still works the same way and you need it to shift gears. Just not first. While in first it will only move if you give it some throttle.

      @@RealRonTV got it... so, the idea is that you can sit at idle in 1st gear without pulling the clutch lever. that is nifty. definitely a game changer for people who have hand issues and ride in stop and go traffic. you may have mentioned it, and I may have missed it, how much did the kit cost? thanks : - )
