Crimping is less prone to wire breakage from vibration and flexing. Soldering like that can spoil the connector surface if your terminals are not sealed. Lastly, the terminals are not designed for such small wires, which is why you're having so much difficulty assembling them..

How do I change my Anderson connection so I can use the newer waterproof connectors,any help appreciated cheers
I like the bending over wire to crimp, but not a fan of your soldering technique and exposed wire (too mount on the stripping). Cheers
