    Just a note if you are connecting the PWM to the 50ah battery to your motor:
    My battery came pre-wired with the connectors as did the PWM so all that was left was to connect the motor to the PWM. Following this tutorial I connected the "red-to-red" which turned out to be the opposite of what I needed. Thankfully the PWM (or the battery, can't remember which) came with two connectors so I was able to cut and re-wire.

    How do I connect these to my 8ga wire that runs to the front of my kayak where the trolling motor sits?

    Great video. On your black battery box, what are those two silver devices that has the red and black cables coming out of? I like that. THank you

      Those look like cable glands, they "tighten" and seal the wire.

    Hi mate. I just bought one of the FPV plugs from Freak Sports but it did not have the rubber grommet as per the video. Was surprised there was no grommet as it seems something like this is needed for waterproofing. Someone also said in the FS comments that you'll need to silicone the back otherwise water will get in. What's the go? Is it a mistake that they don't come with the grommets? Are they waterproof without the grommets?

    So I've been talking with Mariner sails in the U.S. , and 10 awg wires (which are the four wires shown on the 50a PWM) are meant for maintaining 30 amps max, and the "FPV power 50a PWM V2" product is labeled as 50a. Are the components inside the FPV PMW able to withstand more than 30a? (I mean the forward/reverse switch, the speed control, and the volt meter)

      Hi Zach, you haven't taken length of wire in to account. 10awg is plenty for the length of wire used. If we were running it over a greater length then you will need a larger diameter cable.

    Will 10 AWG size wire fit the other end of the connector with no issues?

    • @iangoh7289
      @iangoh7289 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes, perfectly, as those two wires are 10AWG

    You advertise these as 60A but they look just like MC4 connectors which seem to be universally 30A?
    I can't find another brand selling 60A MC4 connectors?
    What's the situation?

    • @brandongoh8900
      @brandongoh8900 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are not mc4s and are not compatible with them.
