Gil Evans is there with tears at the moment Quincy helped bring, and knowing his friend Miles would soon be joining him.

History of Jazz, history of music. Miles Davis at 65, fully energized by accompanying orchestra and fellow musicians. Masterpiece!

'Never content to stay put in any genre for long, Miles Davis can be credited for making key contributions to the evolution of jazz-leading the way in the invention of new forms like bebop, cool jazz, jazz fusion, and much more.'

This was such an exceptional performance. Thank you for sharing this live glimpse of a loved and missed pioneer of Jazz music.

Es maravilloso como Miles Davis es capaz, con su trompeta, de dar a su Solea aire flamenco. Y hay momentos que podría parecer que estás presenciando y escuchando una procesión de la Semana Santa sevillana

I was compelled to buy "Miles Sketches of Spain" due to this. It just resonates emotionally for some reason and I have yet to find out if it features in a Movie since it delivers a casual ascension to a dramatic musical story where the collaboration of instruments prompts unique anticipation at every turn.

I was turned on to Solera in 93. The Cat mentioned, that a was about a Torero ( bull fighter) ,that was killed in the arena. The Torero's Mother cried with for his son to come home. Every time M. Dave's playing this tune, the Mother grief never ends.

First, listening to this performance, what in the world are they playing!? I am not being negative here. I'm glad to see Miles performing with Q.This young trumpeter (Wallace) is to Miles like Faddis was to Diizzy.

I understand zilch about jazz, but it enthralls me all the same. Though I listen to it a lot and allow it to wash over me at a very primal level, I can't help but envy those who 'understand' the subtle nuances of it because obviously that helps them enjoy it a lot more. I am not complaining, but why is jazz so complex as to seem almost random and unstructured? The fact that it is NOT is only too apparent because that ensemble has nothing less than 15 artists who know exactly what's happening and are in perfect sync with it.

'Miles Davis was the personification of restless spirit, always pushing himself and his music into uncharted territory. He was an innovative lightning rod for musicians from all genres - particularly the brightest young players. Davis created some of the 20th century's most challenging and influential music.'
