Thanks! For my signal chain I go into a compressor (with output level cranked to max to give a lot of boost), and then split into two different Tech 21 preamp pedals in parallel...the classic Sansamp BDDI for a "semi-clean" signal, and the Steve Harris SH-1 for heavy overdrive. Both of those preamps have speaker/cab sim, so I just capture their two outputs straight into my audio interface and sum them. Works great!
