Why doesn’t the plane fly over Siberia and China? That route is obviously quicker.

Taiwan’s aircrafts cannot pass through China over political reasons. They must make detour.
That’s why CI and BR are not competitive in terms of Europe-East Asia routes.

Nope, Eva air still flys from Bangkok to London, Vienna and Amsterdam I think.
