Wonderful content. I love Brompton and you're an inspiration. My dream is do the Four Rivers bicycle trail in South Korea. You should check it out. It is a paved bicycle road connecting Seoul and Busan
Hi Thanks again for a great video. I watched the video about Packing your Bike but was wondering whether you are paying for 2 Bags to go on the Plane as I know most Airlines today would only allow a small carry on bag to put in an overhead Locker, or have you got a Ticket allowing 2 bags ? Thank You.
I carry the backpack on my shoulders and make it look as tiny as I possibly can! ;) On long haul flights I have never been stopped from carrying the backpack on board. A few times when I have used low cost airlines for flights within Europe I did pay for some luggage allowance as I knew they don't allow much as carry on without paying extra fees.
How do you manage to take the backpack as carry on ? 45L seems massive. Perhaps its just because I tend to take budget airlines but you'd struggle to carry on a 25L for some of them.
Major airlines flying long haul usually are much more lenient. The backpack I use is definitely heavy but I roll the top down as far as possible to make it look like a mid size backpack and never had problems with it. Quite a few times I have used budget airlines in Europe and in those cases I always had to buy some extras, like a large check in bag (bike and gear) and some more allowance that allowed to bring a bag on board. I avoid using some airlines that I know would make life hard and prefer those that have a better reputation for customer care. In Europe it meant flying Easyjet instead of Ryanair for example…
@@BromptonTraveler Thank a lot for your detailed response. Watching your travels has given me the push to go for a Brompton to compliment my full size genesis when I want to start touring from somewhere other than my house! 😀
@@negativewolf8252 That’s exactly when Brompton come in handy. For longer tours, or if you don’t intend to transport the bike, a full size gives more comfort and the ability to carry a bit more stuff.
I love your videos, you inspired me to start preparing for touring... THANK YOU! Can you please tell me what are those small lights that you sometimes use for night and where do you attach them when you have bags loaded ?
Thanks a lot!! I put the front light wrapped around the handlebar and the back one I have two places. Sometime I put it around the seatpost bar I use to keep the backpack firmly but it can also be wrapped around my spare tyre which seats on top of the backpack. Hope this helps. Thanks
@@djpetarmalesevic Hi Petar I can't find the model I have since I bought them a while ago. These here look similar amzn.to/2xbvTQq as they can wrap around anything and what I like most is the USB charging. Thanks
Sir I have a doubt -->at 1:47 you told bike tools are not allowed in the airport, then how would we repair the bike if any repairs occcur on the tour???🤔.I'm an amateur, so I don't know the rules and regulations while checking in.so please explain it sir🙏❤️
Vignesh what I am saying is that they are not allowed on the airplane as hand luggage. More correctly sharp objects are banned but also tools can at times fall into a category of items that when spotted during the security check of your hand luggage, could be taken off you. All tools, including liquids and sharp objects, can be checked in the cargo which is where the bike goes. Many thanks.
Your videos have superb quality I love them. The details on the mountains and clouds are very vivid and nicely exposed. But I notice you don't pack with you a camera as you mentioned you using your mobile phone to film this video. And you don't also carry any laptop. Can I ask how's your set up for making the videos and uploading in TH-cam. Edit: Hahaha.....I found your video on the Filming and Editing. Thanks for putting them up. They are very informative
Hi Lukas. Years ago I used to buy special small outdoor towels but then I found out that chamois leather (even the cheaper synthetic sort that is normally used to wipe windows dry! ) is much better. A small piece can dry you much better than anything else. When it is soaked you simply squeeze it and it is back to pretty much dry. Give it a try! Cheers
@@lukassonntag5252 Hi Lukas - in fact, for the purpose of drying oneself, the synthetic chamois that Gianni mentions is better, because the real leather one will dry out rock hard.
What is the capacity of your backpack? 45L perhaps? Are you able to carry that onto planes with you, or do you check it as luggage? Is this the one you use? Thanks? www.exped.com/usa/en/product-category/backpacks/lightning-45-wmns-black

Already on my list! That will be perfect on a Brompton. Thanks
I'm planning this as well.
Chamois leather towel - haven't tried it but sounds ingenious
It works fine. With a small one you can manage to dry yourself better than outdoor towels I find.
The fake wallet trick 👍👏 I bet you used to play secret agent as a kid 😂 brilliant video bro
Ah ah! Something I probably picked up somewhere, although I don’t recall where…Hopefully something that will never be put to use and tested for real!
As usual, very good; informative, helpful, great tip! Keep them coming! 🌮🌮🍦
I will, thanks!
This is just what I have been looking for. Thank you.
Great! Thanks for watching.
