I have that same skirt and I LOVE it. It looks amazing on you! I love your fireplace as well. You are handling your crisis very well. 🥰 still thinking about your dad!
Thank you Jennifer for putting our Heavenly Fathers name in your videos. He is the creator of all. Beautiful flower arrangement today and a very calming day. 💐
I found a new fall recipe, pumpkin cookies with white chocolate chips, cranberries, pecans, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves. Delicious. I gave plates of cookies away to 3 families and had extra for my husband and myself. It is fun to be creative and to share. Happy Fall!
It definitely brought me calm... Thank you!!! And, I am pleased to say that I ascribe to Sherlock's messy and eclectic decor... That is how I am and I find my home so cozy and "me"... XXOO
Whenever i watch these videos I always think how lucky your family is to have such a good chef, and caring homemaker. Even watching this is the definition of comforting💕
Recently diagnosed with prediabetes so I have to completely exclude sugar and starches from my diet. I appreciate that this video all kinds of comfort, not just food.
Wonderful video. Very calming indeed. The flowers with there fall colors are lovely. The recipes look so yummy. I will try to make them. A book, for me, is always relaxing. Thank you so much for sharing.
Hi Jennifer! Oh my gosh, this was such a soothing video!! I loved it!! It's just what I needed this weekend and your recipe looks absolutely delicious, so I will be trying it out this weekend! Thank you so much for such quality, especially during a difficult time for you! Love, Kellie
Autumn is our time to move container gardens indoors. Patio cushions into storage & umbellas will be covered. Our awning string lights have amber colour bulbs & we set the timer to light earlier. We love to have campfires during Oct. We also prepare the wood stove for the coming winter. We love autumn. #ThankYou for the inspiration & recipes Lady Jennifer 🍁🍃🍂
I love that beautiful skirt you got last year! Upon seeing it in this video, I felt inspired to make my own (but a wrap style to fit my growing baby bump)! Thank you for this lovely video and style inspiration 💖
Very cool video! I love the quote by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle! Brilliant given what is happening in our world. Your food looked delicious too. Thank you!
Whenever I make Chicken Pot Pie, I prepare enough filling for two or three pies and freeze enough for one pie in a gallon freezer bag. Often, one can mold this bag in the bottom of a pie plate as it freezes to simply slip out before baking, but I prefer to defrost the filling before filling my crust so I can check the consistency. Either way. It's a time saver.
Jennifer, I know I have a long way to go in obtaining the calm and comfort you speak about. It's not that I don't want it, but it is rather elusive due to the 13-hour shifts that I work 3 to 4 days a week. I'd love to just snuggle up with a book for a couple of hours without interruption. However, your videos inspire me to do things here and there that brighten our home. Your Chicken pot pie looks wonderful! I hope to make that soon. I absolutely love Sherlock holmes and I so enjoy watching some of the older movies with the Victorian sets. Such a beautiful video!
I used to work 13 hours shifts! I agree so difficult to fit calming things in. I used to do more on my days off, but always felt better if I started my day with a scented candle and meditation. It really helped me with my shifts. I hope you manage some ease!
Hi Jennifer, Your chicken pot pie looks delicious. My husband loves chicken pot pie so I'll be making this. i need to watch again to make sure I get it right. Thank you for another lovely video. xo Karen
I had to giggle a little at the mention of you drinking cider for tea-time. Here in UK Cider is an alcoholic beverage! We call your cider Apple juice and I agree, warmed and spiced is delicious . 😋
I love that you have a tea and dessert daily. I always feel so guilty when I have dessert more than once a week, something I’d like to worry less about
Bake/Make your desserts yourself, then they won't be full of additives and sugar, that way they will be way more healthy, won't make you pile on any weight and you can enjoy them guilt free.
I allow one Sweet item of food per day. I eat lits of healthy food throughout the day and also walk and do a few minutes of light hand weights every day, too. I also swim regularly and dance to stay fit!
This video was another reminder that my dogs have no chill in the morning, when I was trying to watch this and then write. 🤷♀️ Another time, perhaps. 🙃
Love your book! I am digesting it slowly on my fasting “lunch” at work. I go outside and find a table under a beautiful tree and try to have good posture. I studied in Spain the same year as you were in France! It is bringing back lots of memories. I watched Amelie at the theater that year, but it was dubbed in Spanish. Probably not as good as the original. :)
Jennifer, your pot pie recipe was a delicious hit at our house! It was even better the next day because it held its shape more and the good flavors seemed intensified. Thank you for sharing it with us and providing the motivation to try something deliciously different 😋
Jennifer, watching you, my impression is that you are the American version of keep calm and carry on. Not a copy, you made it your own. Maybe because that sentament belongs to all of us, especially believers in Christ. "Be anxious for nothing..." Whatever is going on behind the scenes, I pray you continue to find joy and inspiration as your path takes turns and twists. Praying for you this morning as well as the many others here who have deep cares and concerns interrupting life and beyond our control. Praying you and yours find comfort and strength that brings hope.
I appreciate how you encourage people to try to make their life beautiful. Cooking is for food, it doesn't have to be perfect. Using the scraps saves money and tastes wonderful.
Jennifer, I learn so much from you! The chicken pot pie looks delicious, acing wait to try it! Same with the Apple pie! And afternoon tea is going to become part of my afternoon routine! I collect tea cups, might as well start using those instead of just displaying them! I am 70 years old, never say the old can’t learn from the young! ♥️
Your chicken pot pie looks scrumptious! And so does your little apple surprise. My mom used to make all kinds of treats with leftover dough, too. Apple cider and Sherlock Holmes, is there a better combination? 🙂
Jennifer, I just returned home from being away caring for our aging parent and I am comfy in my bed enjoying this comfy video. Just what I needed. Thank you❤
Today, myself and 3 of my children all woke up with colds. That chicken pot pie looks like a lovely dinner to soothe our congestion and sore throats. And this video reminded me to be calm, even in our discomfort. We will all recover, and I am blessed to be able to snuggle my sweeties on the couch, even if they use my shirt as a tissue. 😅
Your video was calming & soothing in the middle of all of the chaos in the world. Thank you, Jennifer. I'm glad your Dad is doing well, thanks be to to God and His love.
Thank you for being a light of classy and elegant hope in this "anything goes" society. Much needed calm and comfort was provided in this video. God bless you, Jennifer! ❤️
This was just what I needed today! Our dishwasher stopped working and I was facing a mountain of dishes. I turned on this video and got all the dishes done with calm! 😊
Thank you Jennifer. Your video gives me ideas for creating comfort for my sister who has been in poor health for quite some time. It will remind her that she is not alone and that others care deeply for her. Thank you for the inspiration!😘
Oh Jennifer, you always make my day beautiful...the first thing I look for every morning is a new video from you! God bless you and your family!!! Much love from the sunny Greece🌺🌻🌹🌅
It all looks so delicious. I have just popped an applesauce quick bread into the oven. The house smells all cinnamony and gingery =) When I was little my momma used to roll out left over pie crust and sprinkle it with cinnamon and sugar. Cut into strips and bake for a few minutes until light and crispy. I did that for my children, too. They are the best cookies and a great childhood memory
I sat down with your video today feeling a bit sad and discouraged. Who cries over a beautiful chicken pot pie? Well, I guess I do. Thank you for calming me right down and making me feel not so alone in my longing for the simplicities and comforts of home. ~ Alicia
You are a wealth of information and how to be and I thank you so much for your inspirational videos. I have been with you since you began on TH-cam and you are my absolute firm favourite by far. So much of the beautiful aspects in my life today are solely down to your videos over the years, learning so much from you is a true pleasure. With much love xx.
Perfect things to do for fall. Today I had some huckleberry coffee, got my nails done in fall colors, drove around the neighborhood to see the changing trees and now I think I need to make a flower arrangement! Thanks Jennifer!
Yes! Huckleberries grow in the area of Glacier National Park. My mom brought back all kinds of huckleberry things, like jam, candies, pies ect...! They are a little more tart then a blueberry but very tasty!
The pot pie looks so delicious. True comfort food. The whole video was like comfort food. Thank you for always being the calm in the storm of modern life.
Hi Jennifer, do you use frozen puff pastry as your pie crust for your chicken pot pie? I’d love to try it and that’s what I have on hand and have used in the past. Always enjoy your videos!
“There is nothing like staying at home, for real comfort.” Sending you a warm hug, Jennifer. I am also walking through a difficult season with an ailing family member. Last year, the Lord laid the words “health” and “home-peace” (I believe from one of your videos!) on my heart. I knew these words would play a role in the year ahead (2022). I have had various health issues this year, as has my mom (stroke, anxiety, open heart surgery). During this tumultuous time, home is where i find my peace. Homemaking calms and refocuses me on the blessings in life. We do not know how long our trials may last for, but we can take solace in the little comforts that God gives us along the way, the comforts of home. God bless and keep you.
Chicken pot pie is something I have to tackle soon. I hope you are feeling as peaceful as this video made you look, Jennifer. Beautiful fall touches - the gourds, the flowers, the plate settings, your warm skirt. Bless you!
Do you think that decorating for each season or various holidays helps time feel like it’s going by slower vs only decorating (mostly) for December? We’ve never been big on changing decorations, but now I’m wondering if it would help to anchor time instead of it feeling so “slippery.”
I absolutely love Sherlock Holmes and have read all Sir A.C. Doyles books multiple times. I may need to crack one open this fall. Thank you for the wonderful, inspiring video. 📚🥧☕️🍁🍂
I laughed when you talked about your gourds! We just went to the pumpkin patch and I let my kids pick out their favorite pumpkins and gourds. My daughter picked some that are quite quirky! 😂 This was a beautiful video Jennifer! I was wondering if you would ever make a video on raising our sons to be polite, gentleman? I would love to know how you are teaching your boys good etiquette.
Thank you for your beautiful and inspirational videos! I think I'm going to try pot pie for dinner tonight and of course add a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Blessings to you and your family.

I love that as a woman of color, Jennifer drinks tea from a China teacup, and that she has decorated with gourds!

Very enjoyable video! I felt comfort and calm just like the title suggested! Thanks Jennifer XX
Great video! Your outfit is so cute and perfect for fall. The Sherlock Holmes footage was wonderful as was the the whole video.
Your knife skills aren’t bad! Much better than some other TH-camrs I’ve seen. Some can be really hard to watch 😅
Thank you for this beautiful, calming video.
Oh, and I have read your Madame chic books! I loved them!❤
Wonderful video. Very calming indeed. The flowers with there fall colors are lovely. The recipes look so yummy. I will try to make them. A book, for me, is always relaxing. Thank you so much for sharing.
Love the flowers. Did you know that if you put a grid of tap across the opening of the vase, the small squares created hold your flowers nicely.
Thank you so much for this recipe for Chicken pot pie .I love your books & posts. U are amazing.
Most enjoyable video - from one Holmes fan to another!

I love that you have a tea and dessert daily. I always feel so guilty when I have dessert more than once a week, something I’d like to worry less about
I think if it is a small portion and you are otherwise healthy it is probably ok!
Bake/Make your desserts yourself, then they won't be full of additives and sugar, that way they will be way more healthy, won't make you pile on any weight and you can enjoy them guilt free.
I think you're not alone... a lot of people think that way... but there is no need for guilt!
I allow one Sweet item of food per day. I eat lits of healthy food throughout the day and also walk and do a few minutes of light hand weights every day, too. I also swim regularly and dance to stay fit!
I think we feel that way because the medical communities are so vocal about eliminating sugar from our diets and many desserts contain it.
This video was another reminder that my dogs have no chill in the morning, when I was trying to watch this and then write. 🤷♀️ Another time, perhaps. 🙃
