Ahhhh yes! I was hoping your Discovery didn't catastrophically break beyond repair and that you had maybe given up on it. Glad to hear it's still on the road. And as another commenter has mentioned, the TD5 (Turbo Diesel Inline-5cyl) is a much better configuration that can run 200K-300K+, sometimes even 400K miles over the notorious "Rover V8" that's sketchy the closer it gets to 100K miles. You may also find that earlier European spec Land Rovers, of any sort, are fitted with a manual transmission, unlike their North America automatic transmission counterparts. A diesel with a manual transmission is actually pretty desirable in the US as they are hard to find. Looking forward to seeing your next project!

Hi from a fellow Disco 2 2004 owner in Norway(Lofoten). Im sure you already got your driver license already. But if not you should put on the "L" and get some of your new friends to assist you in driving in Norway before taking the test. Also be aware that we use a lot of salt on the roads in norway, so rust is a major problem on these "oldtimers". Especially at the rear end on the frame. So please carefully look out for that. Myself as this point is actually doing rust repairs on the frame at the rear endbof my D2 2004, which is daunting if your new to welding. Also if you come by a D2 without sunroof(rear)that would be nice to avoid the common leaks. Hope you enjoy Norway! Cheers
