Ok well, here we go!
The Mega Man X medley I did is one of my best performing videos on this channel so it's clear to me that a lot of you share my passion for that game's music. I've been really trying to give old songs I've done full cover versions, and with how cold it's been lately, it felt like now would be the perfect time for this one. Does this mean I'll do more from the medley? Perhaps!
The main reason here though is that when I did this song in the medley, the riff defeated me and I had to just play it on keyboard. I have been really working on my chops lately after being really lazy with actual practice so I felt it was time to drive this one home. I knew it would be difficult so I made sure to play the riff in as many octaves and as many places as I could just to take steps out of my comfort zone. Not only that, I decided to arrange the solo to be very sweep heavy. I've decided also to film some live takes of my solos and fun parts for Instagram (there's a live solo of the Marnie's Theme solo there already!) so go follow me there if you haven't already for some of that!

I’m making a personal play list and hopefully once I’m caught up, start buying the MP3s. Nice work! Mega Man X has one of the greatest rock soundtracks in classic gaming, and Chill Penguin's theme is one of the best the soundtrack has to offer. Much justice done to it here.
