Great to see you progressing on the Mkll. Your achieving a very sympathetic preservation job. Fascinating to see 'two' slinging brackets sandwiched together which, as you say, must have been done during the cars assembly in the factory. Could it have been a 'Friday' car ?😅.. Brilliant work again Paul and looking forward to a further episode.
Thanks Paul; great to see as usual. Especially your decisions on where to cut (ie floor sections) - and the efficient sequence of steps to reinstate, including rust proofing. Thanks for sharing!
As usual , another confident and skillful episode of "How to properly restore a mini" Paul . Was your hammer a "Snap on " with a rubber neck and swirled head that gripped and twisted the metal as you struck the object metal? I have one , it doesn't come out very often .......😊
I've heard lots of horror stories about dipping where they cannot neutralise the acid in the box sections and between flanges which causes problems after paying for an expensive paintjob. Apparently the process has improved recently but I wouldn't do it on my own car
We hope you enjoy the video!

Excellent work
Great video Paul! Hiding the floor join on the crossmember flange is a nice tip!
Easily the best floor repair ive seen on YT by a long way, you made fitting that new boot floor sooooo easy, top job mate, top job
@@karlgt9989 thanks for saying so. It's only as difficult as you make it for yourself
Perfection.
These videos are never long enough :) Thanks for another cracking video, Paul
Hi from Australia - love watching your work mate, very knowledgeable and a true craftsman, and those jigs just make life so much easier.
Impressive workmanship

Proper job right here!
I cant say "better than new again", because that would be easy to do, so its just great, great, great.🤣🤣🤣🤣

Fantastic job paul 👌 👌💪💪

I have used one of those hammers once and didn't get on with it, for this job I used an ordinary flat Sykes Pickavant
Another great video Paul!
What is your view on acid dipping and then E coat dipping? Bad idea on a seamed car?

@ that’s very interesting! 🤔
I’ll steer clear then and buy another mini with the money it was going to cost me!
👍
where do you get all the brackets for inside the sills and the four corners of the floor ? I’m building a mk3 1972 with mk1/mk2 floor.
@@darrenhowes4720 anyone who supplies BMH panels will have them, MiniSpares, Bull Motif, PlayMini etc
Is it POR-15 Red Oxide you are using?
@@thecreativegamers53 it's not. I don't know what brand it is off the top of my head
