Broly isn’t a problem itself imo, it’s how fast Broly hits the board. And that speed is mainly due to the 4-cost Androids ramping energy that comes back ready to be used.
@@TheEgman I think it you weren't playing blue as your main deck and (I assume) losing to 8-cost Broly, then I think you'd feel differently imo. If you think it's one or the other, and you don't think the 4-cost androids are too good as far as ramp goes, then I don't know what else to say. It's pretty clear which is the problem.
I agree that pilaf should have an errata so he cant get itself and broly its really oppresive but I also think that the keyword barrier kills any interaction with cards that have it for example 3 cost majin buu, I know that the color yellow its not in a good place in the meta but its super frustrating knowing that your opponent no matter what its going to have a 25k swing next turn. Im worried for the moment where yellow becomes dominant
Yeah, Barrier already existing in the game is a little bit of a bummer and it's only "bad" because yellow isn't the best right now. I can't definitely see that Buu be troublesome in the future.
love the discussion, format is the best it's been. id personally feel like broly 8 drop should get hit as well as pilaf errata not grabbing it's self like every other color would make this format as perfect as it can be! but still happy it'd be alright if nothing happened
for 8cost broly the restand skill should have text : "if your leader is broly..." Then we would see more play of broly leader and balance out other green decks. and pilaf should have the errata that he can't choose himself.
Disagree on Broly being a problem. Without that card there’s literally no reason to play ramp. Green would completely drop out of the meta if SR Broly was banned
Agreed. If Broly was a problem we'd have more green decks doing well. The fact it's basically just Androids just says the bigger issue is their 4 drop ramp.
I'm surprised you think Buu is more viable than Frieza in the meta. Granted, they're both kinda ass right now lol. But I'm curious to know your thoughts on why Buu would be the better option. I feel like almost all of the 2 drop majin/wicked soul cards suck lol. I mained yellow since set 1 and while I still can do decently with the new Frieza build, I've ultimately had to bail on yellow competitively and have been maining red instead. I really hope to see more yellow support next set and selfishly I really hope it's for Cooler. Thanks for the video! Love your content
Yeah, in general I think Buu and Frieza are about the same power level/only bumped up Buu because it topped an event this past weekend. But yeah, outside of Yellow Vegeta winning this past weekend, yellow hasn’t had much success this format in general
It will be interested if they ever pull the trigger on that kind of interaction. Since this is supposed to be a streamlined version of Masters they may not.
@@TheEgman Yeah, I don't want the game overly complicated but at some point I feel like some small level of counter play should be introduced so you don't feel like you've lost the game 4 turns in cause your opponent curved out perfectly and now you're just waiting on your impending doom.
I want cell to do better so bad (not just because I have him AA with the marker too :P ) but his awakened skill is just so... meh. With the costs on green, going back to 5 in order to go to 6 is just not viable, and leaves you with a leader that's just there to take cards.
@@TheEgman couple that with it being a slow field to set up... Sure tragedy in ginger town is a thing, but almost all decks will not let you mass earthlings so you depend on the farmer too much Cell when all stars align is a monster deck, really fun. 99% of the test of times... It's just pain
Highly disagree about u7 goku being in the bottom tier iv been to 2 regionals during set 3 1 of them i bubbled serial and the other i won a serial with u7 goku

I think Set 2 was a major step back but I've been enjoying Set 3 a lot and hopefully it will continue with Set 4 ( whenever we get reveals for that ).

It's just kind of chicken and an egg situation. It's either the ramping is too good OR is the reward for ramping too good.

Any tips for blue vegeta vs androids matchup ? it‘s like a 90/10 matchup in favor for androids
It's more 55-45 in my experience. I recommend keeping at a high life total early so 8 drop broly's don't pressure for game immediately

On top of that, Zenoh being able to remove Cell Game Arena just makes it rough.

Perhaps, I just don't think there is a competitively viable reason to play Cell with the current state that A17 is in right now though.

I personally think Jiren is BDIF because it counters Android 17 and it can also win against Vegeta. And it annihilates every other deck
A17 is a good matchup, I need more experience against Blue personally for me to think it's bdif though.
