Hi, John, Love your articles very interesting to listen and learn. I have an Invacare Leo scooter. I have tested the brake as you suggested and there isnt any reading coming from it. Disconnected it from the motor and everything seems OK. Strangely when I move the neutral lever the magnet is released and the large nut that grips the motor is freely moving. Would it still be the brake at fault as there wasnt any reading. Thanks for any help. David
Thanks for your information. I was dissapointed when measuring the resistance of the brakes in the motors of an invacare tdx sp i got from thrift . the resistance was giving ol reading. After viewing your video i tried again after engaging the gears? And Yes!, the correct resistance was shown
Hi Jhon...thank for you assitence...I have 2 motor brakesr and the measure are: 0.6 ohm and 60 ohm... in this case one of that is bad.... how can i do if i dont have a new motor braker?? it´s possible disable or jumpers?? Thank for your help...i waiting for commentaries.. Regards...Julio Cesar
Hey, Nana is having a problem with her motor brake. I know how to test and remove it, but is there a way to fix it if it is bad or is replacing it the only option? I have all the necessary tools to pull apart and solder nearly anything so should I take a whack at it or not? O_O
the brake resistance is 35 ohm but when the on-board current drops with a line the brake does not unlock anymore, can you help me with some advice please

Are all these tests direct from the battery or does the ignition have to be on.?

i got a quastion can i use a 300w 15A motors with 40a dynamic 5.2i controller ? will it work?
