Actually Kite was introduced in the first episode/chapter of HxH 1999 anime and the manga. There we get to see the heart to heart interaction between kite and gon which later inspired gon to become a hunter. Sadly a lot of this was cut from the 2011 version and was dumbed down to flashbacks. Kite as a character is quite significant than the 2011 anime portrays him to be.
So his death actually hits a lot harder to the folks that started HxH with the 1999 anime/manga because kite was pretty much like a father figure to gon that helped him find a purpose in his rather secluded life. You can realize it by seeing how much more respect and trust gon has for kite compared to bisky or wing.
Agreed, just a little correction: the HxH manga is from 1998

@KN4P1 It is one of the best, because of all the dialogue and naration.
There are very few where you find this much psychology and logic being used, while keeping it interesting and making your head think.
It may not be for everyone, but I like it very much.
That's why I consider one of my favourites, if not my favourite, the final arc in Magi:Labirinth of Magic manga.

Guys please continue, this is one of the greatest arc in the anime of all time. Kite's defeat is essential to build tension and to drive the the plot. Not gonna spoil anything but, it's going to get really good later in the arc. Chimera ant arc is the G.OA.T of anime arcs, you won't be dissapointed, I promise you.

I know for now its hard to process everything that happen but youve got to continue to watch our boys progression and face the reality. This episode just preparing you to root for our boys and the future awaits to them. Surely this Arc marks at the top of the most memorable ones out there. As soneone who's been binge watching hxh im at episode 56 of season 5... bruh this shyt is soooo slow paced... is this filler?? Or is it part of the manga? I was loving this series until halfway trough season 5.
@@wilmaso everything this anime adapt is all drawn and appeared at the manga.. just bare with it bro, it slow but its building up the tension and the progression of the story.. and also if you want to fully commit to the anime refrain yourself to jump and watch future episodes for you to fully experience how great this is
@@wilmaso this isn't a fighting anime..its full of character development, storytelling, politics, etc, etc. The people who think its slow paced generally enjoy fighting over plot and development of chacters. I'll tell you it all really pays off if you stick with it, BUT its not gonna be in a fighting way. This is def a thinking mans anime and I know a lot of people get overwhelmed by it.

yeah cos it's his best roll, that's what is assumed. we don't even know what it does but like Kite transferred his consciousness to a chimera ant infant and ended up reincarnating and he still has his personaility and memories intact so yeah
He complains every time he has to use his ability to kill, for example, with the gun and the scythe. This time the obvious assumption is that this is the role intended to save him.
This is arguably the one season that will make most pple cry the most. I still tear up watching certain episodes. This season will hit hard at many points. But its what makes this one of the best arcs.

Meruem vs Netero is not a fight about strength/power levels, its a fight between 2 different ideologies/philosophies and shows the extreme lengths humanity will go to stay atop the food chain.
Same with Gon vs Pitou, Gon's tragic fate due to his self-destructive mentality is what makes it a good fight and is why it is so hyped up.

It’s scary that just the royal guard was able to defeat Kite. And the King is yet to be born. Definitely worth continuing though. This is a part of the journey as well. Not everything will go as planned, and sometimes things go south in a world and journey of happiness. Life is just unpredictable. I love how realistic HxH is in terms of the themes.

Guys don't be discouraged to continue the anime!!!! There are so many things that will be left in the story for to learn about kite and his powers, the killua and gon development in future because the whole arc is so important !!! So be patient because all of this is just an arc of a really good story.

A great ending of what pretty much was only the prologue of this amazing arc.

In the manga Kite was actually introduced in the 1st chapter. The only flaw in the almost perfect 2011 adaptation imo is that we don't get to see Kite in the 1st episode. Gon's motivation besides finding his father was also becoming a hunter like Kite. If that was shown in the 1st episode this episode would've been much more impactful. Also, please continue HxH. It is worth it, well worth it.

Unfortunately Kite was omitted in the first chapter, in the 1999 version Kite is in the first chapter, It was the reason why Gon wants to meet his father since originally Mito san told him that he passed away and Gon thought that his parents were dead. . Kite is the closest person to Ging that Gon knows. Gon has known him since he was 4 years old
I’m also currently watching hxh at about 118+. This video is clearly how i felt when i just finished that eps.. even though he wasn’t introduced that much he was such a great character and could possibly be a great teacher to them too.. even gon’s father acknowledged him.. Nth much to say but to just go on. I feel you but we’ve come so far and would love to see a revenge on how pitou killed kite just like that..

A easy way to judge how powerful someone is in hunter x hunter is to see how far their en goes pitou's en can go extremely far and could kill every normal non nen using human within a few miles radius using just huatsu alone.
I love how in the beginning of the episode they hype up Kite like that,with Killua and Gon realizing how good he really is. Just to obliterating him right in the same episode and therefore showing how absolutly outclassed our main protagonists are in that moment.
Killua absolutly did the right thing, they had no chance. Though ofc it´s Illumies needle forcing him do react like that (you can see him holding his forehead where the needle is at 10:43)
BUT I think Killua would have reacted like that anyway because he is smart, needle or not.
And I always found it interesting that Gon trusts Killua so much that he didn´t expect a attack coming from Killuas side (therefore knocking him out) despite being in a hightened state of fighting-mind.
9:45 "Gon couldn´t control his emotions" is actually a perfect summary of the climax in this arc.
14:35 "They have so many years to grow" and Gon´s taking that like "I have no time for this, growing now it is!"
What I really like in this episode is the music that is playing as Killua runs away with Gon and then carries him. It´s such a good OST and really shows the true helplessness they feel here.

actually kite was introduced on the very 1st in the manga, he is the 1st character to be shown and the reason gon knows about his dad is still alive and wanting to be hunter are all because gon met kite. and gon relationship with kite it's like luffy with shanks. anyway it's sadden me when i saw kite's death too, it makes me sad like for 1 week, anyway you guys should continue watching you guys will be suprise if you guys see chimera kite.
