I've had my Q70 for 2 years, and I LOVE IT! I'm in Australia and i got mine just after Infiniti announced they were leaving us... again. I would have liked to get a v8, but i don't think we actually got that model in Australia... but the VQ37 really isn't exactly a slouch! I really wish more of these sold here. Such good cars. If you're reading this because you're considering buying one.... get it.

I have owned a 2014 Q70 Sport AWD with the 5.6 V8 since 2015 love it! It had pretty much all options available including the 20" wheel package, spoiler, and aero package(I don't remember what they called it), paddle shifters, upgraded BOSE system. Stickered at $78k in 2014! Sad they have discontinued it, it is a great car. Local Infiniti dealer that does my service said extremely rare with the V8 and they know of only 2 in the Indianapolis area with it. Before that, had a 2006 M45, it was a limited edition with a very cool light Orange leather interior. Someone ran into that and totaled it. It was a great car as well!

So the VQ has a timing chain but the water pump is driven by it so if the water pump leaks you need to do a timing chain job. How often do water pumps go on the VQs or do they last the whole 300k+ miles usually? I know on the VK V8 the water pump is on the accessory belt.

I have been with INFINITI for close to 20 years and I cant recall the last time we had to replace a leaking water pump on a VQ engine on one of our used vehicles.
