In 2015 I bought a 2012 Infiniti M 37 with about 78,000 miles. I’ve been driving it every day for the last 12 years with about 170 thousand miles now of hard driving. Other than oil change and tire rotations I have never had any work done thank God. Every time I wash it it looks brand new and even after 170 thousand miles it runs like the day I bought it. Not sure how long would this party go on but I intend to keep driving it as long as possible. couldn’t be happier with my car. The only other car I loved as much was my 1999 Lexus GS 400. I had 265 miles on it and it was still running like a champ till I sold it since I rarely drove it and the battery kept dying. I had a GS350 2009 model but I was not happy with its interior fit and finish and I had traded that in for my 2012 M37 and I think that was a great trade. i’m thinking of buying a 2018 Tesla model S 75D as my second car and hoping I’ll have as good luck with it as I did with my Infiniti.
I have had my M37 for a while. It is approaching 195k. Maintenance wise, I just replaced the starter and had to replace the radiator 6 months ago. I recommend replacing that plastic hose junction that goes into the heater core. Mine broke but I was able to fix it pretty quickly. Great car. I'm looking into getting a Q70L. Love my car.
Good review. The car actually has 330 hp. Why I agree with a lot of what you said.. I got the 3 7 myself and I would have loved to I have the 5.6 bud the 3.7 is more reliable overall. While it’s not the fastest car like you stated, it beats a lot of cars on the road even to this day. Not bad for a 4000 pound luxury sedan.
I'm in Texas also & saw a m37 on yesterday so I decided to look it up & appreciate all the feedback & it's all been positive so I might have 1 by 2morrow
I have the same car sport model. Absolutely love the car. I wish they would’ve spent the few extra dollars to put 6000k LED bulbs into the fog lights, day time running lights and rear license plate which I did. Really changes the look. Literally the only thing I don’t like is the BT tends do disconnect or skip while playing music.
Back when I had my first G35 sedan my neighbor had the M45 and boy, that thing was sweet. When I saw you bought this and put it on wheels I was pumped. Just picked up my beater v36 G35x and cant wait to daily it.
As far as down shifting there is a transmission update that the dealer will do only if you ask for it l have a 2011 m37x l l noticed that too but after update problem fixed!!
I’m considering getting a 2011 m37x with about 180k miles, for dirt cheap. Risky, but the M37 has really held up well according to owners like yourself. It was my dream car when it came out, the nicest car I ever sat in as a kid.
Just brought a 13" m37xs awd (paddle shifters and sport brakes) with 155k on the dash in prestine condition for $8900 from a private 1owner older gentleman This car was ahead of its time for 2013 and looks like a 2024 in the street daily
Fabulous cars, love them..... but I say this to all m37, q70 and Nissan Y51 owners...... get the transmission fluid changed as soon as you buy the car. I learned the hard way. Had to have my entire tranny unit changed at 120k miles, 2011 m37, complete ball ache, nightmare.......car had full service history on service book 😄(complete BS) .....main dealer stamp on service book for tranny fluid change at 60k miles......my indy car mechanic confirmed tranny fluid had not/never been changed, stating the fluid looked over ten years old when he was replacing my entire gearbox unit. Lesson learned, main dealers are crooks.
@@phantomse24 i had a catastrophic failure with my 7 speed Infiniti/Jatco automatic gearbox last year........1 month before my wedding! Bad timing eh? The tranny guy that changed my gearbox and torque converter told me the fluid in the gearbox that failed, was so dark and sludgey, he said it looked 10 years old and was probably the original fluid put in the car from factory. Symptoms, loud whining noise when changing gears, then car would stall after a few hundred yards, basically the tranny was being starved of fluid. It was a broken torque converter, tranny fluid pump or gears broken in bits, or maybe all 3 of those things. This was the 1st car I've ever owned that had an automatic gearbox. If I ever buy another car with an auto box, 1st port of call........full tranny fluid flush and change out.
@@phantomse24 Infiniti and jatco claim it doesn't need changed, ever .....but that is complete BS lol. Take it to a good independent tranny specialist and make sure to use the correct specification of fluid
@@phantomse24 I would advise you don't do a full flush. Just do a drain and refill for now. If you've the luxury, do another drain ans refill in December and that will suffice.
I have the same car in black. I bought the sport wheels. I was going to buy the wheels you have when I saw you put them on. Kinda wish I would’ve got the ones you have. Lol. I’m thinking about lowering it. Not sure. I had my transmission fluid drained and filled because I was concerned about the transmission. Can you replace the transmission to a manual? I would definitely want to know that. My valve covers haven’t started leaking yet. Nice car man. 👍🏾
Perfect selection of rims and tires. Looks great. In terms of springs which brand and series did you buy? Looks great, but I’m concerned because my apartment has a lot of speed bumps.
Thanks! I went with BC racing coilovers. Speed bumps are definitely an issue but the good thing about coilovers is you can adjust the height if you wish.
Is it just me, or does every other M/Q70 owner swap their stock wheels for Rohana RC7's?!?!😅 Picking my M56S up soon from the dealership after some minor work but it also has RC7s from the previous owner. Also seen lots of pics online with M's and RC7s.
Definitely depends where you're from and how you drive. I have a g35 and my friend has a g37. I do alot of driving in the city and he takes more highways. I get 14 (even 12 at times) and he gets 18-20. I drive hard tho, I like to push my baby. Also change spark plugs if you havnt already.
Hi, did you replace your ATF and at what mileage? If you did, Was their any signs prior to changing the ATF? Mine is 2011. Honestly the prices I’ve seen fluctuates so much it’s hard to say. Condition and mileage will be the biggest factors. Check the valve cover gaskets. They leak on all of these.
I just purchased a 2013 M37 rear wheel drive. I previously owned a G37s 2 Door Coupé before. Is it a must that you use Premium Gas? Mine has right under 75,000 miles on it and 1 previous owner no accidents with a CLEAN CARFAX REPORT! @DoItYourselfDad
Yes. It is recommended by your user manual that you use premium for a reason. This was once a 60 thousand dollar luxury car. Treat it as so and it will be good to you.
