- You can always try cleaning the front camera glass. If your front screen is broken around the front camera it's fairly obvious that, it's the cracks that are the problem. Aside from that water damage makes it really tough to bring back face id.

You can always try cleaning the front camera glass. If your front screen is broken around the front camera it's fairly obvious that it's the cracks that are the problem. Aside from that water damage makes it really tough to bring back face id. Dirt obstructing the view of the face ID sensors is generally one of the most repairable problems with face id, water can be attempted to be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol but chances are slim of it working again.
Edit: You can’t swap these parts out to get face id only camera and speaker functionality

That probably means the battery is expanding which is dangerous. Get a replacement or a new phone soon
replace your battery! that was the case for my iphone 6 and hooo boy, watching that old busted battery come out really did the trick.

Most common issue with face ID breaking is the dot projector failing due to water damage, screen repairs and dropping the phone. I do solder work and fixed the dot projector before and restored face ID a few times but the success rate is like 60% (still training with it) My take is the solder work is EASY the hardest part is aligning the chip to the crystal.

Had a question my dude. I bought my 11 a while ago and came with an already replaced screen so the TrueTone has never worked. Is there any way to get it working or is this a lost cause since it wasn’t reprogrammed with the old screen data when it was replaced? Love your content my dude, keep it up!

Our shop is one of few that can buy parts from Apple, and usually you can fix FaceId with a new Apple Original Screen, but they are really expensive.

I have several older galaxy cell phones, any recommendations on what to do with them?
My Xr has recently had a very warm spot on the front speaker/front camera area whenever it’s turned on. Face Id works when not overheating, the only problem is that the spot never cools down until I turn the phone off. I can only make the face id work right when it’s turned on because after a few seconds of being turned on, the spot gets too warm and a popup that says “face id will be available when iPhone cools down” shows up. What could be causing the heat? I’m worried that the heat being generated will degrade my battery faster

I was using iPhone 6s for so long but just recently it dropped out of my pocket and home button broke along with touch id. I used it for a few weeks but it was not not fun anymore to use my iPhone so I ended up buying a new one. Now I’ve gotten so used to the face id and if it stopped working I don’t think I’ll feel like touching my phone for days.
It really ruins the iPhone experience so I believe you should care for them more than your family or your life 😆

The odds of this being the case. About a year ago, I went snorkeling and forgot my iPhone XR was in my pocket until about five minutes later. I had some temporary damage, but now my Face ID doesn’t work and part of the touchscreen doesn’t work.

Thanks for awesome explanation u can tell Face ID is not reliable has Touch ID..every iPhone I had I somehow keep damaging Face ID from iPhone XR to 13 i think it’s from water I always notice all my iPhone stop working after I accident dropping them in water or cement 😮
