    Thank you so much for your video. How can eliminate deep and tough creases in my delicate and fine black Florsheim shoes? Can I also use some kind of lubricant such as Vaseline, Pledge foam for furniture, Foam for those leather car seat, etc? What is your recommendation? Any person to watch this video and have the answer, I will be so glad to read his suggestion. One more time thank you so much for your video and I will be waiting for your answer.

    QUICK TIP: For good suede jackets, vests and skirts do not iron and no need to hang in steamy bathroom. Hang garment as shown, a very gentle misting with mineral-free water to wrinkled area...do not soak wet. Let stand briefly to aid softening and blow dry with low, warm setting (constantly move dryer to avoid shine). Do not heat wrinkles, then finish off with cool air when wrinkles look smooth. Repeat if necessary, let air dry a minimum of few hours for suede to set smooth. Gently brush nap.

    I have a suede L.L. Bean jacket. I never worry about it getting wet because the care instructions on it's label calls for 'cold water machine washin'. It is rugged LL Bean 'sportswear'. Machine washing that jacket is not really a good idea because of the shrinkage! After trying to machine wash it, it shrank, especially around the arm holes. I take it to a pro. once a year. Whether it needs it or not ha!

    FYI, you can toss your smooth leather jackets into your washing machine; yes you can. Lol. Simply Google it and find countless articles stating same.
    ~After putting your leather jackets into the washing machine, add hair conditioner, about a cup. You can put it where your soap would go or wait until water fills up, then pour directly into the water. Select both the delicates cycle and cold water.
    ~~Then toss them into your dryer; yes you can. Lol. Again, select delicates because you don't want hot, just warm to dry. You can also pull the arms inside out for a more thorough drying.
    ~~~To add protection for your smooth leather jackets after washing and drying, you can use some leather protectant or simply inexpensive Vaseline. Use a generous amount, then work it deeply into the leather. Voila!! No dry cleaning expense needed. I remain forever grateful to a co-worker who enlightened me re cleaning my leathers and have been passing it on ever since. 👍😁💕
    @maneb91095 That's a really tough one! The dyes in suede are not very fast, and it's very easy to cause them to run. When you clean them, they really need to be sprayed with a black dye and oil combination to remain the same shade.
    What about a food grease stain on a pair of suede shoes?
    • @kakuella
      @kakuella 6 ปีที่แล้ว
      sandra grudzen probably same idea can be applied. I clean the oil with water downed gentle dish soap, damp the area until oil stains are light and wet the rest of shoes to even it out. Once im done, i stuff them with papers and dry it in cool dark space. once it's completely dried, brush the sued to see if it worked or needed to be done more. I'm not a professional so can't tell if this was a bad idea or not but I save two pairs of suede heels with this method so I'm happy with the result.
    • @ameliab7245
      @ameliab7245 6 ปีที่แล้ว
      There is a white chalk you can buy. It helps absorb oil. They used to sell it at Woolworth's and it lasts a long time. Not sure which stores carry it since I haven't bought any for a long time. You apply it (stick form) to the oil stain on clothing or suede. Let it sit. Brush it off. Redo a few times if needed. There used to be suede sprays to help keep suede from getting water spots (water proofed the suede a bit). Great for boots and hand bags. Some shoe departments sell this or purse shops.
    This is a little gross but I had a surprise sneeze hit me while I was wearing my black suede coat and it needs cleaning badly. Will the brush in this video work on something like that. I have brought it to a dry cleaner who said they couldn't clean it.
    • @ameliab7245
      @ameliab7245 6 ปีที่แล้ว
      You need to take it to a leather cleaner. I've had dry cleaners ruin a lot of things. If you want to try cleaning it, you could mildly put a damp rag on the area to soften the dried splatter(s), then gently wipe area (don't rub it in) to remove debris. Let almost dry. Gently brush with a clean old toothbrush in an upward direction to pull up and remove debris. Let dry and try method of brush cleaning in above video if you still see water or sneeze stain. When cleaning stains on suede, you may create a water 'stain' and then just remove this per video.
