While he can’t be replaced, I don’t believe his character should be removed from the series because he is gone. His character is vital, and replacing him with a similar character wouldn’t do the series any good.
@@earlmoore7003 While I hate to suggest it, I think the best solution would be for someone to take over the role for the third game and have Sylens die then, so his story could have a more natural ending.
I love the dynamic between Aloy and Sylens. Despite his arrogance, a small part of Aloy really wants his approval and respect because he's one of the few people who understand technology the way she does. It's clear why she was so interested in other people with Focuses early on. Eventually she outgrows her need for his approval, but she still knows how much he could offer if he put aside his own ego and let others in. Aloy is actually a really good friend and uses tough love on those who need it.
With Lance now dead, I'm guessing the developers will have to contend with Sylens dying on his way to a new planet during his continued quest for knowledge in the next sequel
Sylens he's probably the only character that stitched together the plot of the game and actually made it actually interesting, to be fair all the tribal stuff and others side characters felt kinda bland.

The thing that will defeat Nemesis from the 24 century is the blue screen of death. Which Aloy must find the source code for by watching porn. 😅
