The last one is my favorite . I think the scales are adorable. They are vintage but most likely not an actual antique. No matter if it's new or old it's still just things. This year we have learned what is really valuable in life. 🏜

Hi Kat, I love all your ideas and I actually love how you do your best of 10. I have been on my own since 1987 when I was 23 I moved out of my parents house. They later divorced my mom bought a cool little house and worked 3 jobs to pay it off in 15 yrs so she can retire at 65 and not have a mortgage. She is now 81. Her knees are bad and I have bad knees too due to an accident. I've had my own condo have done lots of decorating, not married no strings attached. I offered to move in and she was si excited I moved in 10/1. I gave tons of my stuff to Habitat but still kept lots.i still have 15 boxes on her porch. We have got along so good together. She went to stay at my sisters for eye surgery as mu sister works from home. While recovering from eye surgery she started getting sicker yet she just passed her physical for the ey surgery. Without any symptoms until the end of Feb she was told she has pancreatic cancer.i had hoped she would come home I would get off on FMLA and take care of her reason I moved here, but to my sadness she wants to stay at my sisters. I'm heart broken and now with the virus I am ONLY allowed to see her if it is warm outside and we can sit 6 feet away.😥 I have never unpacked because I always hung out with her every night and day but now going stir crazy and being lonely I am unpacking and resorting because now I will have lots of her items to use. Today while in the basement I found a magazine rack identical to your's I have never ever seen it before. We have never used racks. Tonight at 7 I asked her on the phone where she got it. She said on someone's curb she thought this summer we could paint it up and use it in our porch. Mind you that call was at 7 and I just finished your video at 8 30pm. My mom has always wanted to make the porch nautical. This yr she was going to have it closed in, new floor put in and new windows. I do not have the money to do that who knows now how long I will be here. I'm hoping if the virus leaves and she is strong enough to visit she will come hang out with me this summer. I would like to clean up the porch nice and put down a new rug. I would like to paint the magazine rack and make a nautical plaque such as your's at the end. I would like to surprise her. At Michael's they have wooden anchors to paint I thought I could buy a couple and attach to frames. Somewhere I have sea life dishes I can display with candles. I dont want to think about the time frame of her life the dr gave her. Onky the good Lord knows. Crafts make me happy and I think they keep me grounded and saner. I have to stay upbeat for her and set goals for myself. Today was windy and cold o want the warm weather to come so I can wash down the porch floor and vacuum the day bed/sofa out there. I would like to make a new cover and new nautical pillows. For Christmas my mom ordered me 3 of my favorite magazines and I didn't know it until late Feb they all came and she was no longer here. I struggled a bit with that too. I have an old set of scales and not sure what to do with them. I’ve given them a good clean but ot sure what to do with the peeled paint.
Because I am newer to your channel Kat, I hadn't seen many of these, nice to be able to view them all in one video! I had seen a few DIY scale makeovers and I wasn't getting the attraction at first, but the more I see, the more I am digging them, good job! 👍

No, not against hubby. Just DYI for a hubby to learn from and enjoy. Try, HGTV, DYI, This Old House, ect. My daughter made a large clock, that fits the hole of the fireplace.
There are loads of "guy" things on here. Find one renovation and a lot more will show up, plus related material, and if your man likes tools he'll have a ball. 🙂

I liked all of your upcycles, but I have to admit the flower holder out of an old magazine rack was awsome. Then the last one with printed pictures & the gauze was beautiful. I have to admit I'm a water baby from way back. LOL! All my kids are to. Now my daughter lives at the beach year round with her granddaughters & I'm going down there to visit all the time. I loved this type crafting projects. I am trying to start crafting. I must have OCD. I have trouble staying focus or I don't like how it is coming out. Now painting terra cotta pots I really love. That is what I really love. I may need to ditch the rest. The end of your post is the BEST!!!

Just found your channel love the idea for the flower box and totally love wrapping the stems in paper always stayed away from working with full flowers because couldn't find a way to hind the stems. Your ideas really got rid of my brain fog.Thanks again. Will be looking for your next posts.

Hi Brenda. Thank you so much... glad you like them. I will tell you, I buy more from Yard Sales, then I do from Thrift Stores. I find Thrift Store Items to be overpriced for used items... so I tend to find most of my treasures at yard/ garage sales.

Hi Kat my name Virginia. I found you when I was flipping around trying to find different DIY'S. I loved this combination of DIY'S. It's a great idea. I liked all of your upcycles, but I have to admit the flower holder out of an old magazine rack was awsome. Then the last one with printed pictures & the gauze was beautiful. I have to admit I'm a water baby from way back. LOL! All my kids are to. Now my daughter lives at the beach year round with her granddaughters & I'm going down there to visit all the time. I loved this type crafting projects. I am trying to start crafting. I must have OCD. I have trouble staying focus or I don't like how it is coming out. Now painting terra cotta pots I really love. That is what I really love. I may need to ditch the rest.

Just found your channel love the idea for the flower box and totally love wrapping the stems in paper always stayed away from working with full flowers because couldn't find a way to hind the stems. Your ideas really got rid of my brain fog.Thanks again. Will be looking for your next posts.
