Yes some are just flat out GAUDY and I can’t get beyond it to make it work for something I like cause I just sit there like no why did you do that do this cause instead it would look way better!

I agree this is the best dollar tree hack I've ever seen. I think if I make the lamp I'll use henges on one of the frames so I can open the door. I'll probably use wood glue and brad nails as well.. thanks 4 the great ideas!

Although that sounds like a sweet idea I wouldn’t do that. You may risk that precious memory of those more than possibly leaves crumbling.
You could use a box frame with the skewers in the background and still have the protection of the glass for these leaves.

THe lantern with battery candle is a great idea. 3-5 of these lamps together would create a great corner with inviting mood light for a gathering.
