Though I do agree that probation is ridiculous, he is a previously and currently known dangerous individual with no intention of changing and he is allowed to continue walking on the streets while only having to pay a months worth of rent.

This is a complex & widespread problem in today’s judicial system! On one hand, the jail & prison system in The US continues have the highest incarceration rate in the world! Over crowded prisons along w/ enormous pressure from minority communities that have above average incarceration rates, has lead to judges & prosecutor’s being “soft on crime”!
In turn you have communities that are suffering w/ a truly astonishing rise in crime rates! To ones that do get caught, it’s a revolving door!
Imagine if we actually charged people for the actual crimes they committed instead of all these plea deals! Unfortunately the courts & prisons could never handle that & the criminals know it. Relatively Little to no consequences for most non violence crime.

You do realize what the main problem is right? We've been incarcarating people at such a rate that we've overcrowded our prison system to the level of braking.. We have by far the largest prison population in the world. And yes, China and India included, and those countries have 3 and 4 times more people than USA..
So I guess judges across the country were sentencing people to a certain number of years behind bars, obviously a few too many people... So now when this case happens and the guy has to be punished by doing time, we have nowhere to put him... OK, not literaly, there's probably place for him, but the problem is that the judges have to reduce sentencing people to prison, and do it drastically, cause we've been doing it way too often...
And mind you, I agree this pric* should have been punished more severely, but I read people's comments under these kind of videos and they always say how our judges and prosecutors are too mild and never give prison sentences to criminals.. I ask them who are those 1.9 million people (out of 333 million population) who do time in US prison system? And why China with the population of 1.3 billion has around 1.7 million people in prions. Or India with the population of 1.4 billion has only 600 000 people incarcarated.. Think about that for a moment...

They don’t get that these officers are just normal people that make mistakes like you or me and have families they want to make it home to at the end of the day. Now I’m not saying there aren’t bad cops out there that have no business being in law enforcement but you’re gonna find that in any profession and the majority of these officers are good people. Republicans love the idea of jail being punishment, but ignore the fact that over 80% of them WILL reoffend and become career criminals. This guy should be in jail, don't get me wrong, but he would still get out one day and do it again. Jail it self is not a good strategy for rehabilitation. We need a solution that removes criminals from society until these criminals have a real alternative to a life of crime, but that also, provides a real alternative to a life of crime. If you want to say that's not the state or tax payers responsibility, then we, the tax payers, will continue to pay 50k+ a year locking these people up, and still having crimes committed against us. Jail as the only way of dealing with crime is a failed policy. We have more people in jail in the US than any other country per capita, yet we have more crime as well...

Release the names and addresses of the judges and prosecutors - they will put more in prison to keep THEIR families safe then, don't let them hide behind a P.O. box on their public records.

@@theconscience01oh yeah good idea tell every criminal exactly where to get revenge once they get out of prison that doesn't seem like a bad idea whatsoever. I can't even believe that a real human had that thought, typed it out, still thought it was a good idea and posted it. yes the judges need to give harsher sentences but Jesus dude what a fucking clunker of an idea

    Title SHOULD be:
"Why you SHOULD run from the police."... because after destruction of numerous vehicles, a home owner's garage, bail jumping, reckless driving/endangerment you'll only be hit with probation.
The justice system is any but!

This is one of the things I hated most when I was an officer. You work your ass off to arrest people like this who absolutely demolished a home, damaged 4 cars, injured a citizen plus all the other crap he did and the judge gave him probation. He should have a lengthy stay in prison.
This was especially true when I was a detective. Tons of hours sometimes trying to solve crimes and finally arrest someone and the judge barely gives them anything.
We put our lives on the line to do the job even though we knew what we signed up for but you can never know when a judge will just let someone go because they can.
It’s ridiculous. These people will never see a dime in restitution for the damage he caused and I guarantee he’ll be at it again. He’s had zero consequences of his actions so he has no motivation to stop the criminal activity.

After learning the outcome, I wish I didn’t watch this video. $669, no jail or even revocation of his license. That’s significantly less than a DUI in most states with no damage and totally compliant suspect. He destroyed someone’s HOUSE for god’s sake. This is crazy.
