Bollocks, they re-upload bootlegs. That there still hasn't been a DVD of archive footage in high quality (Paris 1970, Cal Jam 1974, Midnight Special, etc) is a fucking travesty. The version of the Paris show up on the channel is a bootleg VHS copy taped off Yorkshire TV in the 80s, the original film reel is owned by Reeling In The Years.

The Beatles' Helter Skelter in '68 is being considered early metal, but this 'Paranoid' is levelling it up quite a bit more. I've known this all my life (I was only born in '72), and I have always appreciated this particular song, one never gets tired of it, it provides tons of energy. A short, but hellish burst of it.
The music is playback, but the vocals are live. There's the Nirvana performance on this show and it's hysterical even if you aren't a fan. Kurt doesn't play his guitar to show it's playback and sings in a mocking style to make the producers mad.
webkinzgirl001 I hear the guitar is not from playback too. Listen the last part of the main riff. It doesn t have ghoast hummer ons like in the recording. :)
I've heard Top of the Pops does that (live vocals, all instruments pre-recorded), but if this drum track is pre-recorded (Bill Ward's out-of-sync miming could be an editing problem instead of performance, though it's more likely he just missed the hits), it's not the same track as the record. It's got fewer fills, and the bass hammer-ons are also in different places. The guitar and vocals are likely live.

It amazing to see black sabbath playing for about 30 people in a tiny venue
Ozzy's voice is so beautiful on this
Wow. Had to check again after seeing the audience's clothes and hair style, to remember this was literally 50 years ago!
It's so timeless!
Say what you will, Ozzy had one of the best voices in rock. Totally unique. Great band.
É impressionante como o som do Sabbath era ainda mais pesado ao vivo,em matéria de som pesado black Sabbath sempre será a maior banda da história
1970 I’m seventeen and I’m living through an incredible phase of Rock and I’m loving it😎👌
Seeing and hearing this totally intense performance footage forces us to instantly realize just how much modern music has devolved and sux by any comparison.
0:26, listen to that Bass.
Geeze doing it with eaze...no pick, all fingers. One of the best.
For me the real maiden , when all the punks used to go see em in wee pubs , still love a few of the newer stuff too.RIP Paul .
0:47 Well...That's was unexpected
Finally the camera giving Geezer some love
I will be 70 and continue to listen to Pink Floyd every night . They get me out of my head and soothes my soul
and it's Black Sabbath throughout the day? Cool 🤘😈
That's some high skilled vocals.
Ozzy isn't some kind of a self-taught singer, one can hear he did study music and singing in particular.
Lyrics: a depressed man dying inside, struggling to feel any sense of happiness
The audience: THEY'RE GROOVIN'
I simply cannot stand still when I hear this kind of music.
@@thomasobrien1841 And Ozzy headbanging.
That is how heavy metal and rock music is all about😂❤
Now that was a damn good band. I was 17 years old when they made that particular appearance. I still remember it clearly. Needless to say I'm still a fan!!!!!
lol I chuckled when whoever edited this video did the little back and forth sequence with the bass riff
People dancing to paranoid 😂
Abdullah Atf this song amazing I love to Dance to it too
Give them all some mushrooms and tell them to dance to Planet Caravan. :D
That was a different time
Yeah not the pussyminded times we live in now.
Twas the 70s ✌
Ozzys vocals just clean AF always and that guitar bass video edit.... I'm living life
0:35 best part imo

He’s Dross?
The lyrics to this are up there with anything, so fucking true.
I will never forget this song for as long as my heart beats inside of me
me too
It was amazing last night in Porto Alegre, Brazil!
Man i wish i were there..
Fuckin' fantastic....I never get tired on this...over 50+ years later....
I love how people still didn’t really know how to react to this kind of music, pretty fascinating to see how the crowds have changed over the decades.
