Deep Heat Ok, I can see the comment, from what you said, it looks like youtube spam bot is deleting your comments because they are toxic. I checked a lot of people too but not everyone is invested in Rock to know about it, you need calm down and let people who discovered it feel happy not sorry, maybe tell them about other great songs instead of pushing them away like an angst teen pushing his parents.

This is subjective, one of the best rock drummers ever for sure but each music style has its load of legendary drummers and many of them were as musical and much better technician than John Bonham. I love his playing, Jimmy Page is my favourite musician and Zeppelin is my personal favourite band as well but I will never say that Page is the best guitarist ever it doesn't make sense.
@@thomassankara5627 it makes sense if it's what you feel. Lots of fancy technical competency out there people call genius, but how hard is to get really good at something, anything, if you throw yourself into it. Many Many people can do that if they choose to be driven by money and fame, such is the sad state of the music industry today. But there are very few that can channel or express true genius through music for music only. Page, Lennon, Morrison, Bowie...the list is very short, and sadly a long time ago. I always say Page is the best guitarist ever down the pub because I know it to be true.

the next guy well done, that’s one bassist who was part of the biggest band of all time. The order of fame in the majority of 4 piece bands goes (most famous to least famous) singer, guitar, drums, bass. There’s a reason John deacon is by far the least famous member of queen despite being one of the most talented bassists of all time
+Spog Zallagi not really... don't really know why a lot of people say this was the beginning of metal... it's just pure blues... it's pretty much the beginning of everything in modern music
Of all the bluesy songs Zeppelin made, this has to be the least bluesy. This is just plain old Rock, but ask any Metal musician, they'd probably say this song was a major influence. Plus, most modern genres trace their roots to the Blues, so I'd say Blues influences are a given.
+Dev n however, I can't think of any plain rock bands at that time that released a song as hard as this, not the who, not steppenwolf, nobody. same with the last verses of stairway to heaven some heavy shit right here for it's time.
@@stephenstone8480 The Beatles in my opinion wrent an all round band. They, especially in their later career, made better albums. I have been lucky enough to have been born under a lucky star. 1956, and in 70, 71 and 72, I saw Zeppelin live all 3 times at the Garden. I was 15, 16 and 17. They opened up with Immigrant song at one of these concerts. Another time, they opened up with rock n roll. Am I not the luckiest girl in the world. I try to put these feelings into words but sometimes I can't. I do truly feel for all you youngsters that will never get to see them live. Instead, you can imagine what's it like to hear Stairway for the first time.byou can listen to it and view on computers, but sadly, it's just NOT THE SAME. I still pray at the altar of Zeppelin. It never gets old. I'm 62 now and I still listen to my never ending playlists every day. Led Zeppelin, the best band ever. Ever. Bonham, the best drummer. Better than Dave Grohl, better than Roger Taylor. There's just Bonham and then, everybody else.👏👏
Yes you are lucky.....I came out the same model year....good news some replacement parts are available, just got a new hip....I was lucky to meet the band and watch them play while working security in Orlando....peace Marilyn
@Marilyn Catalano - Your right about them probably being the greatest rock band of all time, but the greatest rock drummer of all time is probably Carl Palmer of ELP. Never saw Zeppilin, but saw ELP in the '70s when they had the heaviest (actual weight) road show ensemble and equipment in rock history also. Palmer's drum set went up in the air and spun, maybe head over heels spinning as well; and you couldn't even see his arms below the elbows he was moving so fast. Led Zeppilin, ELP and Pink Floyd. Top 3 rock bands ever. Though there are a lot of bands nipping at their heels and in 2nd place.
Two of my high-school teachers were at this concert. I know you don't care, but I care, because they told me all about the show, which was simply visceral and incendiary. Best concert they've ever seen, both of them told me that. That night, there was a palpable celebratory buzz all across the city of Sydney, as the audience returned to their every day lives......
I had a CadilAC 8-track stereo [many amps] and Machine Head which played over and over Smoke on the water Space trucking I thought it would never end But Hey I,m thankful for such easy access to it all
They are so tight here it is unreal. A magical =version when they were really at their pinnacle in 72. This was before the hard drugs and prolonged stadium tours. Page kills it here with his masterful improvising chords, Prhaps his sharpest version of this song I have heard.
i saw zeppelin in the 70s in nyc. prior to this song they played a slow song like thank you or the rain song. after a 20 second pause jimmy, john, and john blasted away and people were crying, cheering, girls were taking they tops off. it was a magical time i will never forget. i cant say this is my favorite zeppelin song, but its up there
When I got into Led Zeppelin’s discography, I realized that all the great rock songs that I used to love hearing as a kid on commercials and movies were all Led Zeppelin songs.

There's a lot of things I don't remember over the course of my 48 years, but one thing I will NEVER FORGET is the first time I heard Led Zeppelin! It's kinda corny but it truly was a religious experience!!!
Masterpiece! From the driving bass line, to the genius ostinato guitar riff, to Robert Plant's Banshee. ...But that relentless drum beat from John Bonham being the driving force to the whole song, takes the cake.
Imagine creating a song that will live for eternity. This particular live performance is bangers.

Deep Heat profanity does trigger them. Dude, I get what you're saying with the cringe ass normies making "who came here from Thor" but that's literally seen everywhere in every modern music, that is just how the new generations communicate man, you can't say they aren't interested in this music because if they weren't, they wouldn't have looked it up on youtube in the first place, am I right?

So grateful to have experienced the rock ‘n’ roll music of the 60s and 70s, the music, the songs, the bands. There’s nothing like it today and I don’t think they’ll ever be another time like it.

Every time I see this video I look for myself in the crowd, but it is always too blurry to make out who is in the audience. It was an amazing time in music....remember it so well.
+Steve Lockwood wow what a great experience! I'm genuinely happy you got to see that. It most of been extremely loud in the front :)

Led Zeppelin's music 🎶 will forever be timeless.
Greatest frontman, guitarist, bass player and drummer in rock history. Keep on rocking guys!
Bonzo is an absolute beast, and in my eyes, the world’s greatest ever drummer!
Bonzo and Ginger Baker
No forget
@@thomassankara5627 it makes sense if it's what you feel. Lots of fancy technical competency out there people call genius, but how hard is to get really good at something, anything, if you throw yourself into it. Many Many people can do that if they choose to be driven by money and fame, such is the sad state of the music industry today. But there are very few that can channel or express true genius through music for music only. Page, Lennon, Morrison, Bowie...the list is very short, and sadly a long time ago.
I always say Page is the best guitarist ever down the pub because I know it to be true.
@@AleisterCrowley. It's true for you only, many could be as true as you are saying Hendrix is the best ever. It's just a matter of taste. Art isn't sports.
Some songs just hit a level of perfection, that is extremely difficult to reproduce. This is one of them.
That solo Page pulled off was ridiculously good, his timing throughout it is unheard of
he’s the greatest ever. most people don’t get it
One of their best live performances. Every member of the band is doing their best.
John Paul Jones remains criminally underrated to this day.
All bass players r underrated bc they’re in the background
@@cameronlambert5185 I know right I mean look at this guy idk if you've heard of him cause he's pretty underrated but there's this dude named Paul McCartney? ring any bells? probably not, he used to be in this really under appreciated band
the next guy well done, that’s one bassist who was part of the biggest band of all time. The order of fame in the majority of 4 piece bands goes (most famous to least famous) singer, guitar, drums, bass. There’s a reason John deacon is by far the least famous member of queen despite being one of the most talented bassists of all time
Not being filmed a lot is different than being underrated.
the next guy Paul isn’t underrated the Beatles are literally the biggest band of all time
Plant's raspy voice. Kick ass Jones bass. Bonzo beatin' them drums. Page strumming those strings like he's trying to start a fire. Hell yeah!

+fidan2fast you both make a valid point
Of all the bluesy songs Zeppelin made, this has to be the least bluesy. This is just plain old Rock, but ask any Metal musician, they'd probably say this song was a major influence. Plus, most modern genres trace their roots to the Blues, so I'd say Blues influences are a given.

Can,t wright verry well
I love zep
Bonham is an absolute monster beast at those drums!!!
Yup he's the best
Two of my high-school teachers were at this concert. I know you don't care, but I care, because they told me all about the show, which was simply visceral and incendiary. Best concert they've ever seen, both of them told me that. That night, there was a palpable celebratory buzz all across the city of Sydney, as the audience returned to their every day lives......
Great teachers! Very lucky to be there and to become history!!
