I went on a “Mission Trip” all the way to Puerto Rico and Mexico. It was all BS. We didn’t actually do mission work like helping poor people. Just baby sit kids. Huge waist of time and money. Take care of people in your own town.
Never went on a "mission trip" but I heard way too many stories just like yours. Sounded more like Christian tourism, as this pastor said. Sad.
