Hi everyone, this is my car to carry out a restoration project, it is a small Fiat Cinquecento from 1993 which had not been driven for 4 years and it only has original 72000kms! This is actually the first test drive video of this little rare italian car!

The noise comes from the pedal clutch pump. Needs some grease, thats all.

Hired one of these to drive around Southern England back in the day. Loads of fun. Terrific little motor car.
I have one of these, but mine is "FSM Polski Fiat 170" - official name for Cinquecento in Polish market from 91 to mid 93. I have no electronic fuel injection so it makes it even more oldschool :) (there were also basic 704cc versions with engine from Fiat 126 BIS)

I totally loved it, too bad the gearbox had issues.
I had one by mid 90s when I was at the university and I enjoyed it very much. I drove around my country and I must admit that it was very easy to drive and and I felt safe because I felt control over it. The engine had a nice and very little sound. The sound of the clutch in the video probably is just because it needs some lub, nothing relevant. My Cinquecento clutch didn't have that sound. I have good memories with my little Cinquecento. I kept It for almost 9 years and I replaced It by a Panda Sport 100 HP which I enjoyed too till 5 years ago when I bought the new 500 but after 2 years I replaced it by the bigger 500X, because It was very small, maybe because I am not longer that 25 year old Guy and muy preferences have changed hehehehe.... but anyway, in muy thoughts I Will always have good memories of that little cinquecento and all the amazing experiences I lived with It.

Sounds solid: no rattles at all. And the engine doesn’t sound loud either. A bit of lithium grease on the clutch cable and it’ll be perfect.

I used to own one of these, a 1.1L sporting version. Still high up in the list of top cars I owned. Shame I smashed it into a wall due to aquaplaning...

Cause of Sound on the Clutch Pedal Water splashes on the metals in the clutch system (it is located close to the road surface), it can cause lubrication to not function properly. The sound arises because technically there will be contact between the metals when the clutch pedal is working.
Some serious airbags in that version... :D
0-100: maybe
With 0.7 engine I'd agree. However with 0.9 it can easily go even 140 kph. A 100 is not a problem.
the Panda 750cc of the 90s reluctantly does 0-100,
this 500 is able to do it in 18sec

I wanted to get one of these strip it, put a cage in it, wider wheels, with a roof lightbar then go on a 24h lemon rally. It would have been hilarious but corona came and everything cancelled before it even started. Maybe in the next few years, but I still dream about dakar spec cinquecento.

Elle est très propre pour son âge. Par contre un petit graissage de la pédale d'embrayage lui ferais du bien 😉 et vérifier si vous avez pas une ampoule clignotant de grillé vu que sa clignote très vite quand vous mettez le clignotant droit.

Great cars for going round the city in and the Fiat OHV is bulletproof. The sound of the engine and gearbox sounds alot like a Renault 5
The turn signal that blinks faster than usual is not a sign of a light that is about to break. The reason is that the wattage capacity of the bulb or turn signal used is not in accordance with factory standards.

One of the indicator bulbs is gonna blow or the relay system needs changing the right indicator is clicking way to fast. Thought I’d let you know ❤️

This was my first car back in 2007-2008. It was great fun to drive. Mine had powered windows and was a bit darker blue, built in 1995. A shame that the gearbox had issues after a year. Getting in 1st and reverse was difficult. Almost bought a new seicento in 2009. I should have bought that instead of a Grande Punto 1.3 diesel. Ah, my cinquecento, I loved it. 🥲
Your story is similar to mine. I bought a light blue Cinquecento in 2007 & that too had gearbox issues. It crunched going into 3rd gear & 5th gear stopped working completely. My next car was safer, bigger & faster but it had no character & I much preferred the Cinquecento!

I had to scrap my Cinquecento because 3rd gear crunched & 5th gear would not engage at all in the end. Otherwise great little car!
The clutch was usual also After 3 years, but with a bit of wd40 It disappeared
WD40 is not a very good lubricant for long term applications. It will go away after a few days. The best thing for such applications is white lithium grease. It lasts much much longer.
Cinquecento is a blocky version of fiat 126p interior look very like 126p
was an update to replace the 126 and the panda

Otherwise that is probably a great bucket to drive in the city and on narrow streets :D but just inmagine driving that on the highway...
I once drove mine 2,500 kilometers in 4 days. I took it to it's top speed (150 km/h) on the highways occasionally too!

@@EverythingPal69 Traffic signs in Europe are the same in every country, the same applies and the roundabout rule is the same for every country in the European Union.
You have to use the left indicator if you are driving around the roundabout, and are not leaving it, but if you do you obviously use the right

Left direction indicator is used to redirect the lane not for an semicircular rotation.
Which means the right turn signal is just for disconnecting from the roundabout while the left is for switching to another lane.
We must never cross into the lane on the right side, but only on the left, and that is why the left direction indicator is given, not the right one.
