When I forsake food - ugh - I completely need God to bring me through it. Its great for humbling oneself.
"Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God." Use this when you're fasting, and you don't think you can complete it.
You know, I know a woman who usually gets shaky maybe because of hypoglycemia, and she fasted. She knew it was the of the Lord that she fasted because she didn't get that shakiness that she usually gets...so I am just saying, If the Lord has called all of His children to fast and He wants them to, then possibly He will supernaturally give the ability to those who may be physically impaired...

How do you hear the Holy Spirit? I have my life to Christ when I was 16, but at 17 I feel like I don’t feel the Holy Spirit anymore. I pray every morning and night and read the Bible in the mornings but I don’t feel peaceful or as knowledgeable and I don’t feel the presence 😞

In Islam everyone knows about their fasting period, Ramadan. People just know that it's a fasting period for Muslims and it's been made known to the world that whenever this period comes, the Muslim should be fasting. But let's take a look at what Jesus says about fasting in Matthew 6:16-18, "When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show OTHERS THEY ARE FASTING. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash you face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who's sees what is done in secret, will reward you."
You guys should've mentioned this so that people can get a better picture of the differences between works based religions and the saving gospel of Jesus Christ!

One's health, stable blood sugar levels and Doctor's input should be the deciding factor whether or not a person should or should not go without food. BE CAREFUL and check all of these three things BEFORE doing anything differently than you already are doing.
For some blood sugar levels can drop dangerously low if they do not eat or have a healthy snack(s) throughout the day.
I believe fasting can take many forms and doesn't always have to be food related. It can be giving up a favorite activity for a while, cutting back on computer time or making time for other things besides the normal.
I agree to a degree concerning consultation, especially when having SERIOUS health conditions just make sure that the excuse isnt really a lack of faith & discipline. I was told by my doctor I was borderline diabetic but I went back to what I used to do often, FASTING, no food just liquids and Now everything is back to normal... I chose to believe that God was grater than the report... One good thing for more serious health conditions is Daniel Fasting (raw fruits & veggies and drinking water & 100% fruit juice) if you do the Daniel fast long enough, you WILL be healed...
If my face will surely show that I'm happy, what's the significance of clapping my hands to show it?

Jesus said 'when you fast...' He assumed as His disciples that we would fast... it is a good topical study in Scripture. look up all the references and see what the purpose and result was in each passage.
Ok, how are people supposed to fast when you keep talking about food! 😂

I struggle listening to Paul Washer. He sounds like he is always crying.
Okay 11 minutes in: I am laughing. Your brand of humor is catching on with me.
Why is it: some one always has to bring up their passion and joy for killing unarmed sentient life in the context of a subject about God. Such a let down, such a disappointment. Just got to the paul wahser segment. I will never undertsand how people get their rocks off killing amazing creatures like bears! Yet he admits he loves to kill them! WALK PAUL WASHER! and I support the right to arm bears. Funny he uses the words "Horrid" & "Immoral" to describe the potentiality of his bad mood when he learns he will have to care for his child in place of going out and sport killing one of God's creatures. The act of killing a bear for no other reason than sport or entertainment is what is really horrid & immoral.Clearly Mr Washer suffers from the disease I call "Moral Schizophrenia"
