Are you referring to my struggles with the velocity in the video? 😂😂😂 yeah the option to use a mouse would definitely make all those things easier, but I would prefer if you could navigate around the screen with the direction buttons (on MPC X) like on the vintage MPCs and then use the jog wheel to adjust whatever parameter you select. I really don’t understand why they put the direction buttons in the MPC X and you can’t even use it for half of what you would like. Ideal would be if they gave us both options, and people who don’t mind MPC 3 being a “DAW in an MPC” could use a mouse, and the stubborn people like myself could have more of a vintage workflow :)
tbh, im watching a tonne of mpc videos and what irks me the most… are the melodic chops. they all sound the same, plink plonk, like every producer out there is a pimp from the 70s. catch my drift? its either ratcheted hihats vomit, aka trap or whetever zoomers call that bile, or some soul melodic boring stuff. for example, this drum beat. noice. gritty. dirty. dark. ok, true. samples were not as pimpy or 70s, but imo this dirty, dark beat just screams for as dirty and as dark samples on top. all that being said, its a matter of taste i guess. but hopefully yall get from where im coming from. btw, subbed. cheers.
Yeah i feel you.. personally I kind of listen to everything but you’re right a lot of beats sound the same… that’s what happens when people sit a do 20 beats per day with the same loops and drum sounds lol. Thanks for the sub 👊👊
@@trackfammusic2979 word. i realized long time ago that music is great, like… wow, music… hahaha… but for it to truly be great, that great tune only comes once in while. 20 albums, platinum status, 10mil yacht, but in reality… 5 epic, timeless tunes, 10 ok tunes and like 50 meh tunes. and ever since then i changed the way i grade music artists. 10+ epic tunes in their career? ok. that guy, or girl, is epic. 2 epic tunes in like 5 albums? meh. but then again, contracts are contracts. one has to produce an album once the papers are signed, right? and industry aint gonna wait a month, a year, hell a decade for the signed artist to produce an epic tune. aaaanyways, this was my TED talk. thanks for tuning in. keep up the good work.
What are you looking forward to the most with the MPC 3 update?
Will you finish more music, or the same as now?
I usually use the humanize button for my high hit It’s like velocity.
@@mel7697 oh ok cool. I forgot that they added that a few years ago lol. May try it out.
@@trackfammusic2979 yeah you hit the humanize then scroll down you’re gonna see velocity and then you put the percentage
I m still waiting mpc 3 when are they coming?
Still sorting figure my skills for mpc what best way to do ?
Yeah me too…. Thought the beta would be out by now… hopefully soon.
I don’t understand the last part of your message.
It would be nice to be able to plug a USB mouse in like the old fantom g
