If you want to use all of your guns on 11.1 I'd recommend a warfet. You can wire all your guns to use it, and only have to buy one. It'll stop the overshooting on semi and features like pre-cocking will transform it in cqb

Very competent unboxing for such a small Chanel, the only mistake that i picked out is that you seem to be impressed by the mounting bracket, even though the only ak’s that don’t have those are underfolders.
I just got the cyma ak74u(cm039) and this thing is solid. Was gonna put f2 in it but I think I'll just run it with a 11.1 till something happens lol. It's to nice to gut immediately. Great content!

I know this video is 3 yrs old, but to deal with the stock wobbling all you have to do is tighten the screw that holds the stock in place. Be careful to not be too hard on it though, as I stripped the screw on mine lol

Adam Quelch Don't even bother. I posted a whole comment about the difference between AK-47 and AKM and the history and it disappeared after few hours. I guess somebody wasn't happy about being wrong. BTW the side rail is not a strictly AKM feature. Most AKM rifles didn't have it, only AKML and AKMN.
The biggest difference is that AKM is supposed to have stamped steel reciever and AK 47 has milled reciever. Also those recievers are different on the outside on the first sight. Then there is the pistol grip, stock, front sight and other differences.
What do you suggest needs to be upgraded before running an 11.1? i'm looking to upgrade the motor for this exact gun, what else do you think will be required? thanks.
@@RainLightSeer A good re-shim. Make sure bushings are good quality metal ones (Not bearing type). Piston should be good quality single metal tooth (in case things go wrong you want the teeth to shred before expensive gears do) Check angle of engagement and take out second tooth.
Why has no manufacturer come up with a system to leave the battery in and simply plug in the charger at the back of the stock? I'm pretty sure I could come up with a four pole switch that disconnects the battery from the motor and charges the battery when you insert a charging plug.
Hiya. That is a good question. I would assume in the most part it is because people all like different types and sizes of batteries, plus it is one less thing the manufacturer has to worry about. If it was a mosfet system the always connected battery isnt a good thing and it could / would drain the battery down and potentially harm the cells. So its easier for them to just leave it open for the user to chuck in what they want and makes replacement easy, especially if its a small space for a battery that might not last a day of play. Would be a cool idea on some guns though. Pheas
Hey Pheas I picked up a cm.045 the one with the polymer furniture for a cheap spare, was surprised when it turned out it had the blue edition internals not sure if this is a Taiwan gun thing or CYMA are fitting new batches of AK's with the uprated internals.
Ours had the blue internals as well so I am guessing they are rolling it out across their range which is great to see! Makes them even better value. Got another Twaingun order coming tomorrow with a couple of cyma AKs in it so will see what their internals are like too. Pheas
@@PheasAirsoft I picked up the cm.096 and I love it platinum internals and MOSFET then I have painted mine panzer grey, they really are upping the quality all I have had to do is clean and regrease and polished a few bit (piston rails, under the selector plate etc) and fitted slightly better orings and for £200 they feel and shoot great.
@@juj9305 It's been treating me well! Put some upgrades on it (nothing internal yet...) and it has been doing great. The wood stock and handguard are fragile so I swapped them with polymer ones and it's been a blast.
@@owenriggle Yeah me and my friend got the same ones and he thought it was a good idea to pick it up by the grip and not by the Handguard and it fell off, there's a small pice and very thin piece of wood holding that grip,that has a screw going through it I'll just replace the thin one with one that's a little thicker. The stock was fine tho for me. The Handguard, well nothing happend yet but I can still repair it or make my own but that'll be a while. Worth it tho.
I've been enjoying all of your reviews and unboxing thanks!. This is a great looking gun, I'm hoovering over the buy button, but I do wonder if CYMA will release a "platinum" AK after the recent 0.97's & 0.98's, hmmm.... also tempted by the 0.98 but already have an 0.91 and it looks too same(y) :-)
I think it will only be a matter of time before cyma do the platinum AK stuff but I don't think it will be that close. So I don't think you would be disappointed if you got one now. Pheas
what lower/uppper modern handguard can I put on 048M (AKM)? Can you provide some modern models for the stock as well? I know the battery is inside the stock but I think I could manage to put it somewhere on the dust cover...

Hello! It should be easily / very easy to replace, make sure its for the correct style (remove this handguard and compare it with the attachment points to make sure its the right shape) might need a little filing down, but should be all good! Pheas
Hello , i bought this gun like a week ago ,haven't played it yet due to the corona virus i like it very much but i have noticed that the fire selector comes lose after a few switches back and forth .i have tightened the screw that is under the cap but it does the same after a few switches . is there anything else that i can do to make it more steady? thanks in advance.
HIya, the only thing that comes to mind is maybe some threadlock on the threads of the screw for the fire selector replace the screw if possible. Pheas
So i had the chance to finally use this gun in it's first game last week, but unfortunately it lasted about half a day before i got major feeding issues, shot gun multi bursts, single shots on auto, major bb drops, and blank firing.. when it works it's amazing but the issues were so bad i had to swap it for a rental.. i ruled out a mag problem since it was doing it with all my mags and the inner barrel was clear of any dirt.. i've actually taken it to a tech guy to find what the issue is and to get some minor upgrades in the process. Have you managed to try it out yet and did you get any issues?
@@femboytatp No. If you suddenly get feeding issues and you can rule out magazines there can only be three things. Hop rubber, nozzle or tappet plate broke.
Hiya, it comes with a battery and that battery is ok, but wouldn't last a full day or play. You could possibly get at most a half day. Plus the battery isn't the best quality so most people just throw them away and use their own batteries. A lot of people choose to invest in lipo batteries for them as they run the gun better. They provide the energy needed to run the gearbox and motor quicker and at a higher level so you would notice a higher rate of fire and fast trigger response. It's not "needed" as such it's more that people want more out of their gun than the included battery can give them. If you are just going to shoot it in the back garden then there is no need for another battery. Hope that helps. Pheas

they are pretty much the same internally, with the 48 u get a long barrel ak, with the 45A u get a short barrel ak with a foldable stock, i have both of em and i cant choose what's better because they are both amazing guns

Is it possible to change the battery weirs to be under the top cover like in the AK74m variant? I love the look of everything about this gun but I just cant stand the fact that I need to screw the stock on and off for the battery.
Hiya. Yes you can. Two options... If you are handy with a soldering iron you could rewire it with to have the battery in the top cover like the cm.045 or, just buy the appropriate AK switch and wiring to give you the wires in the top cover, either way is a bit of hassle but entirely doable. Pheas

What battery were you running or what battery was the guy you sold it to running? And how long did the battery last as I have no idea what to search (as you can tell I’m very new to this hahahaha)
In the rof tests I use Nuprol 7.4v 2600mah crane stock lipo and 11.1v 2600mah crane stock lipo. I would run an 11.1v lipo and eventually add a mosfet to it to protect contacts. Pheas
I was looking between getting a Cyma m4/AK nearly went with an m4 but decided to go with the AK now… only problem is it seems really easy to get extra mags as there’s a bunch of choice for m4s, but aks I can’t seem to find addition mags? Someone help pls! Thanks!
Hello! CYMA does the Mags in most stores, typically ANY AK type mag (as long as its not from KWA or for a gas AK) will fit . Where are you based and I will get you a link to a retailer. Pheas
Hiya I would run a 7.4v battery in the stock, something around the 2200mah capacity size as this should run it easily for a full day, maybe a C rating around 20 or 25. Hope that helps! Pheas
I think cyma isn't consistent about their wood stock and handguard. My CM048's wood is brighter and cherry red while yours is a beautiful brown finish.
I bought this as my first and probably only Airsoft gun. I just want to shoot it in the backyard with friends and this seems to be very durable so it’ll last me over the years.
Hello! TO have an optic you need either a side mount to give you a ris on top, or a ris top cover OR a rear site rail, which replaces the rear site with a rail. I no longer own this, but the person who does have it, has changed the piston once (not because it was needed, but they were in there just looking and wanted a full metal teeth one) and the hop rubber for a better one, thats it, still running happy even now.! A full metal ak is gonna be a bit on the heavy side, but should hold up to a lot of abuse and still look great. Since the price difference is relatively small, I'd personally go with a full metal one.

Hiya. If you buy in the UK the CYMA prices range from £99 to £200 roughly. I think this one is £200 in the UK, but when its this beautiful its easy to justify ha ha ha. $130 was a good price for yours! Pheas

@@legitbot2432 pistons are just a part of the mechanics of any electric gun, they just break sometimes... He has put an estimated 40k rounds through it, so for it have lasted that long is very good. They are excellent quality. Pheas
Hiya. I got to use it very very briefly before it was sold on (less than a high cap through it) and it shot lovely with 0.25g bbs. Little bit of spread in the bbs right at the end of their flight but was hitting out to a little over 40 meters with it. Felt lovely to shoot too! Hope that helps. Pheas
Hello! You will need an ak side mount which latches on to the bracket on the side of the reciever, this then gives you a rail to mount an optic on it, alternatively you could look at a rear sight rail but these are small and sit basically on top in line with the charging handle. Pheas

Hello! Thank you for the question! they use 6mm gramms, anywhere from 0.2g to 0.28g bbs would be good for UK limits of 350 fps, if running at stock fps which is around 400 fps new from the factory, then you could possibly go a little higher in weight. Hope that helps. Pheas

@@Memediusroblox ah right, that makes sense. The barrels and internals are not built for metal BBS and would probably cause issues, especially in the medium term of using them. You would be better just shooting it as stock and using good weight plastic bbs, just make sure they are good quality. Pheas
On this one, which is downgraded to UK limts its about 1 joule, but out of the box they are doing 400 fps (roughly) which is just under 1.5 joules! Pheas
@@Dan-ps6qb don't be ashamed. As long as it shoots BBS out the front then it's all good. You could take it apart and spray the bits in question to a more suitable colour if you needed to. I'd just keep your eye on what you want when your ukara comes through and then jump on it. Pheas

@Your toes. Hand them over You can safely use 7.4v LiPo. Get highest mAh you can fit.

The "ribbed" barrel is not for heat dissipation rather because of crude milling.

1 year late but I heard oiling something worked, not sure you can look it up if you still got the issue.

Is it possible to change the battery weirs to be under the top cover like in the AK74m variant? I love the look of everything about this gun but I just cant stand the fact that I need to screw the stock on and off for the battery.
Hiya. Yes you can. Two options... If you are handy with a soldering iron you could rewire it with to have the battery in the top cover like the cm.045 or, just buy the appropriate AK switch and wiring to give you the wires in the top cover, either way is a bit of hassle but entirely doable. Pheas

How does a 9.6 PEQ box battery run and does iy fit completely? I got one for my CM052 RPK-74.
The 9.6 nihm would turn it over pretty nicely. Not quite as well as the 11.1v lipo but somewhere between the 7.4v and the 11.1v. Pheas

What battery were you running or what battery was the guy you sold it to running? And how long did the battery last as I have no idea what to search (as you can tell I’m very new to this hahahaha)
In the rof tests I use Nuprol 7.4v 2600mah crane stock lipo and 11.1v 2600mah crane stock lipo. I would run an 11.1v lipo and eventually add a mosfet to it to protect contacts. Pheas
I was looking between getting a Cyma m4/AK nearly went with an m4 but decided to go with the AK now… only problem is it seems really easy to get extra mags as there’s a bunch of choice for m4s, but aks I can’t seem to find addition mags? Someone help pls! Thanks!

Hiya I would run a 7.4v battery in the stock, something around the 2200mah capacity size as this should run it easily for a full day, maybe a C rating around 20 or 25. Hope that helps! Pheas

I think cyma isn't consistent about their wood stock and handguard. My CM048's wood is brighter and cherry red while yours is a beautiful brown finish.

Hello! TO have an optic you need either a side mount to give you a ris on top, or a ris top cover OR a rear site rail, which replaces the rear site with a rail. I no longer own this, but the person who does have it, has changed the piston once (not because it was needed, but they were in there just looking and wanted a full metal teeth one) and the hop rubber for a better one, thats it, still running happy even now.! A full metal ak is gonna be a bit on the heavy side, but should hold up to a lot of abuse and still look great. Since the price difference is relatively small, I'd personally go with a full metal one.

How did it perform on the field?
Hiya. I got to use it very very briefly before it was sold on (less than a high cap through it) and it shot lovely with 0.25g bbs. Little bit of spread in the bbs right at the end of their flight but was hitting out to a little over 40 meters with it. Felt lovely to shoot too! Hope that helps. Pheas

Hello! You will need an ak side mount which latches on to the bracket on the side of the reciever, this then gives you a rail to mount an optic on it, alternatively you could look at a rear sight rail but these are small and sit basically on top in line with the charging handle. Pheas

@@Memediusroblox ah right, that makes sense. The barrels and internals are not built for metal BBS and would probably cause issues, especially in the medium term of using them. You would be better just shooting it as stock and using good weight plastic bbs, just make sure they are good quality. Pheas
