Die Oboje war immer nur ein Instrument von vielen eines Orchesters. Mit Albrecht Maier hat sich das geändert. Mozart - Maier!!! Ich schmelze dahin, den Alltag lasse ich hinter mir. Ich fühle A.M. mit seiner Oboje und Mozart regelrecht verschmelzen. Grandios, wunderbar, erhebend. Danke Mozart, danke Albrecht.
It is strange how I feel sad to see the musicians separated by microphones but on the other hand I feel happy to see that we still make the music alive by continuing to play it🎶
The microphones placed on each instrument separately help the engineer balance the instruments when making a recording, since they are not in a recording studio…otherwise, there could be many overtones in this setting.
The tone of the soloist and the orchestra is beautiful. The original version is for violin and orchestra K 373. I personally prefer the arrangement K anh. 184 that was made for flute and orchestra. It doesn’t have all of the adjustments that require those octave changes. Still, this sounds great.

The giant who pulled Mönnig out of the swamp and created the best sounding Oboe ever. Very nice mix of warmth, clarity and penetration.
