Too bad she stopped recording after breaking up with Justin in 1987. She was really talented.
Justin was so devastated by their breakup that he started doing drugs and he died of cocaine overdose in 1992 shortly after his concert in London.
Such a shame that one of the most talented singers of that time had to end like that..
Some rumours say that he’s still alive though and that he faked his death but all the evidence shows the opposite
@@TrainerGoshi I heard that it was all a hoax and he's definitely alive! Apparently he had a disguise as a hobo, went to London in hiding, grew an awful mustache and was sporting a long hair. Secret local witnesses have also allegedly said that he smelled so bad like rotten eggs, as if he didn't shower for a long long time. Oh! such devastating effects of a break up!
But another thing! He'd apparently ran away with another woman called Hailey and was secretly married to her during the summer of 1993
Trainer Goshi Justin died in 2004 actually
She had a nervous breakdown after they lost their son ( he was 2 at the time) he fell in the pool at Justin's house

This would play at the end of the movie where the girl quits her shitty job and runs towards the love of her life on a beach. There's a full on sunset, water droplets with that weird glimmer effect, slow mo waves and him lifting her up and spinning around as they kiss. I'm obsessed with this movie.
That´s my favorite movie! Knew it would be good since the moment Selena announced that this song would be part of the soundtrack...

What a memory... May 1985. Last dance of the school year. 16 year old me finally works up the courage to ask Rosalie to dance. What started out as awkward but raging teenage hormones grew into the love of each other's lives. We're still together to this day. Our daughter loves Selena's daughter's cover version of this.

I will never forget how we danced to this song on our prom night ‘83. It was the last song of the night. I remember, exactly in this part 1:01, we looked straight in our eyes and.. it was magic. I’ve never thought I would fall for someone so deeply. Unfortunately he left with some friends. The car driver on the other side of the road was drunk.. He lost control over his car and crashed into them.

I heard they wanted to use this song in a movie back in the 80's that not many people know about called “Top Gun” which starred some nobody called Tom Cruise, but it ended up being replaced by some song called “Take My Breath Away” by some half-decent group called Berlin. A missed opportunity 🤷♂️

I remember when they played this song at my high school prom in 1984, I danced a slow with the girl I had a crush on and we made out later that night. Such a shame I never got to see her again, I’ve heard that she moved to a different state soon after, hope she’s doing alright even if I had to move on

This sounds so great! Could you tell please, did you record the rhythm and solo guitars by yourself or is it a VST? They sound so good
Hi there, thank you for getting in touch! I programmed the rhythms myself - I have built up a collection of drum samples (bassdrum, hihats, snares, toms etc.) over many years, so I just added each individually to Cubase to hear what worked, then added a bit of reverb and a gate effect to get that 80s feel. I didn’t use any loops - each drum sound was individually added to the track, which took ages! The guitar sounds come from my Korg Kronos and my old Korg 01/wfd. Again, I had to record each part in little sections to make sure they sounded like “real” guitars, which again took a long time (probably about a week). Thanks again for asking!
