I still cannot wrap my head around the fact that they visited India and I saw them live a month ago. One of the most amazing nights of my life, I cried a lot during the concert that night. This band's music has seen me through a lot of bad and good times. Love you Tyler, Tim, Justin, Leila, and Royce.
My girlfriend introduced me this band and the first song I've ever listened was Los Angeles. She had an anxiety attack and suicidal thought after her ex beat her hard and left her back before I met her. I took care of her and her feelings and in return she provide emotional support through my hard time. This song she sent change me so much. She said it would heal me from anxiety and stress and all that bad thoughts. So it did, as I went through shit all past years (pandemic, lost of job, depression etc.) I just felt like The Midnight is the only band that lift spirit and my life and make me feel nostalgia to the "place" I never ever visit.
I wish there was a word in our language for this feeling. It lifts my spirit, and my life, and makes me feel nostalgic for a place I’ve never been, too.
yeah i agree with that i had my breakup during the time of covid pandemic and i was so depressed that time i can’t go out to refresh my mind can’t meet my friends due to curfew 😢 then my best friend introduced me to this band and lost Angeles and sunset was the first song o had heard from that moment when i got my anxiety attack i play this song loudly and i swear this help me soo well after 3years i came back to share my feelings here❤

When my mom was always there for me to hold me when I was sad and scared. When there was no internet, just outside exploration and learning about the world through a child’s eyes. I hope one day to find another era that makes me just as happy and nostalgic when it’s even further in the future, that way I can die and know I lived a beautiful happy life.

It's music like this that gives the soul a nudge to just keep moving forward. The hope I feel, the faith that envelops my entirety just makes me blossom with joy.

Your whole life will just quickly timelapse in back of your mind listening and watching the video. And surely you are gonna miss someone, and it can be anyone.
I'm looking forward to going back to California so I can drive around at night and play The Midnight like I used to. There's nothing better than driving with that Pacific wind blowing in your windows in perfect 60-degree temperatures and a full moon lighting up the water. I recommend the stretch between Venice Beach and Point Mugu or between Torrey Pines and Oceanside.
I currently live in Oceanside. Those are both great stretches, even north to San Juan Capistrano. The 101 stretch between Ventura and Capitan (including Santa Barbara) isn't bad either.

I usually get burnt out by listening to a song for a week straight. But this, this right here is something, I've been listening for 2 months now and it's still good as the first time I heard it. This is Gold right here.
Props to musicians who take a chance on an old music style, update it and make it something their own. Instead of sampling hit songs, they are creating something all their own and it scratches a part of our hearts making us feel younger.
I lost each and every hope in my life to succeed in my career of choice. I spent a fortune and lost it all on a pipe dream. I started hearing voices in my head and taking medication for it. Nothing comforts me like this song. The sheer feeling of awe/nostalgia. This is my only safe haven. Long live the 80s.
I'm getting strong feelings, goosebumps and nostalgia from this song telling me that I already exist before, telling me that there's a part of me that already existed before. I really love this kind of music. Remarkable masterpieces.
"I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations" Jeremiah 1:5. This is a verse with the Lord speaking to the prophet Jeremiah. It applies to you as well! Christ be with you, beautiful soul.

I was born in 80 and I do miss the 80s and 90s in many ways. One of the main ways is how you could be a kid then. The world wasn’t like it is now.. we broke it. We had to keep inventing things to make everything “better”.. and now our kids can’t even be kids.

I don't know. This music reminiscing past memories that somehow I didn't have. As in my recent 35s, sitting alone on a couch, watching TV shows running, but the music kept playing through headphones, and I didn't pay attention to the TV show. And my mind goes off somewhere - like my dreams as a kid I completely forgot, my teenage moment, and sweet moment while grandmom dad, and all of that lovely folk surrounded me that I took for granted. I think I completely lost and missed all of it. Every time I hear this music, it happens, but somehow, I cannot stop the music. It just keeps perpetuating inside my head. Oh how I missed my 90s and 2000s
Song and words like this make me re-believe in love and togetherness. Inspite of having my heart smashed against the wall. Hope all the people who are alone in this world find love. In some form of the other. Thank you God for everything You have given. Love. Love. Take away the guns and bombs.
Two hours ago I had to let go my beloved cat because she was to sick to stay..... This song is so beautiful and makes me cry even harder. Goodbye Balou. Thank you for your 15 years of love. I'm going to miss you so much....
Wish I had the chance to spend this one life with her but she is gone, long gone, and I just have to live with it. I can't love someone else like the way I loved her, and her voice is a mystery that I will never know. But I have this one hope that I will meet her in heaven and we will have this one dance that we can't have in this life. The last part of this song with the video just kills me.
sorry there's nothing about this type of music that is "true love". it's idealism and fantasy romance. love the music but its dangerous to let the nostalgia and beauty make you believe in idealism

I don’t know how the midnight does it. They say the most profound beautiful lyric I’ve ever heard. ‘My heart feels the weight of all I don’t know’....and it just goes by like nothing in the song. Do you not understand that you just said everything I’ve ever felt every day my whole life in a few words. The midnight is amazing
it's so freaking stupid. They could've been together because they clearly loved each other. What kind of idiots makes such stupid choices? Oh right, hacky screenwriters. Sorry but I want my entertainment to have happy endings and make me feel happy, not leave me sad and depressed. There's too much of that in the real world to get it from escapism as well

I'm usually really modest about what I listen to in the car, but when I am driving down Sunset Blvd on a Saturday night, this is usually one of the sounds I roll down my window and sing along to. I got to meet Tyler in 2018 backstage at a show in Brooklyn, and told him how much this song made me feel home.
I played this song as I proposed to my girlfriend last night, and she said yes right away. The Midnight doesn't get the credit they deserve, and Naani's music videos made really bring a whole new vibe to the genre.

Thank you for giving me such a feeling The Midnight
Some people are so lucky that they are enjoying this song where i wanted to...
maybe just born to watch and cry...
I usually get burnt out by listening to a song for a week straight. But this, this right here is something, I've been listening for 2 months now and it's still good as the first time I heard it. This is Gold right here.
2 years and still listening to it all the time
Props to musicians who take a chance on an old music style, update it and make it something their own. Instead of sampling hit songs, they are creating something all their own and it scratches a part of our hearts making us feel younger.
I wish I could find this for the first time again
Agree!
I'm listening to this song in the same warehouse that I first heard it in. Genuinely, thank you for reminding me of that day.
amen to that
Well its my first time and it's great! I can't describe the feeling!
the song or the movie or both?
This song becomes an addiction to me i replayed it a 1000times brings back so many cool memories ❤
You deserve peace in your life.
I'm getting strong feelings, goosebumps and nostalgia from this song telling me that I already exist before, telling me that there's a part of me that already existed before. I really love this kind of music. Remarkable masterpieces.
Same here bro, sending you lots of love ❤
Always felt that way since I was a kid....I had weird dreams that felt real during those times
Same here brother
"I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations"
Jeremiah 1:5.
This is a verse with the Lord speaking to the prophet Jeremiah. It applies to you as well!
Christ be with you, beautiful soul.
i get this..
I will never ever get tired of this beautiful song
6 years already have passed, and this song still hits every time
I come back to this video about every 6 months and cry
Stay single
Don't watch the video... just listen!
Come back again
me too, this song makes me cry every time.
It's such a beautiful song - poetry set to music 🥲
is this video from any movie ?
Fire on the beach
Face to the sky
The stars dance around like gods in the skies
The gold silhoutte
You take off your clothes
And my heart feels the weight of all I don't know
Memories and mountain tops
Drunk on Sunset Boulevard
With the city of angels singing on
Maybe this is just a dream
And maybe we are still asleep
But I, I will miss you when I'm gone
Flickers of the canyon fire
Its hands raised like a gospel choir
If we live forever, let us live forever tonight
Helicopters against moonlight
Our holy mother of the midnight
And if we live forever, let us live forever tonight
Tomorrow we'll go
Back to our lives
With sand in our skin and sun in our eyes
But I know the truth
I've seen the signs
And I've seen the golden gods in disguise
Memories and mountain tops
Drunk on Sunset Boulevard
With the city of angels singing on
Maybe this is just a dream
And maybe we are still asleep
But I, I will miss you when I'm gone
Flickers of the canyon fire
Its hands raised like a gospel choir
If we live forever, let us live forever tonight
Helicopters against moonlight
Our holy mother of the midnight
And if we live forever, let us live forever tonight
Flickers of the canyon fire
Its hands raised like a gospel choir
If we live forever, let us live forever tonight
Helicopters against moonlight
Our holy mother of the midnight
And if we live forever, let us live forever tonight
Flickers of the canyon fire
Its hands raised like a gospel choir
If we live forever, let us live forever tonight
Helicopters against moonlight
Our holy mother of the midnight
And if we live forever, let us live forever tonight
Thanks👍👍👍
Thank you so so much 😁 now to try and work this with an acoustic guitar 🥰🥰🥰🤔

This is one of the most amazing songs I have ever listened to in my life. It's so wistful, deep and nostalgic. Feels so powerful. Wow.
I'M FROM BRAZIL, I FOUND THIS WONDERFUL BY CHANCE. I WILL ALWAYS LIKE HERE.
Calm down
O mesmo aqui 🇧🇷
When it’s all over, we’re back to being strangers
Once again we're strangers, but this time with memories
God that hurt😭
Oof
Wow
i feel like i am going thru this right now!! its heart breaking!! my life feels like its over!!
How could you not fall hopelessly in love with Emma Stone?
Magnified by the song and the editing.
Bravo.
She doesnt look that good but you have your preference.
I was born in 80 and I do miss the 80s and 90s in many ways. One of the main ways is how you could be a kid then. The world wasn’t like it is now.. we broke it. We had to keep inventing things to make everything “better”.. and now our kids can’t even be kids.
Tellement vrai et triste cette manière de communiquer ce monde ne me semble ne pas correspondre je suis désolé mais vous êtes insupportable devant vos outrance je n arrive même plus à avoir envie de vous voir le mieux serait de partir. ........
This makes me want to see La La Land way more than the actual trailer.
I usually fucking despise musicals yet somehow love La La Land
Haha same, I watched La La Land back when it first came out and never watched it again. Seeing this made me go back and watch it a few days ago.
@@MealsOnWheels9797 hah same, hate musicals but La La Land was really good. The end of the movie daaaaamn
melancholy is such a sweet drug
It has two edges, it can cut deeper than it can be satisfying, therefore it is dangerous, especially if you are emotionally instable.
It's not. It's a catalyst for depression
@@Leon-vvah-vvah indeed it is a catalyst for depression. It is addictive to a point of damaging us. Still we keep longing for it. It's like we want to feel the pain
It's Benign masochism.
Give me valium!!! :-)
I typed “Los Angeles” and this was the first video that popped up! I’m glad I decided to watch it! This is a really cool song! 😎
Same here buddy 🤝 it's like you're talking with my mouth
Don't let anybody remove this video. It's a work of art. (2)
Song and words like this make me re-believe in love and togetherness. Inspite of having my heart smashed against the wall. Hope all the people who are alone in this world find love. In some form of the other. Thank you God for everything You have given. Love. Love. Take away the guns and bombs.
nicklaus24 always believe in love, it's the only thing worth really living for.
That was beautiful man! Your words are wise and true
This song is so joyous, yet melancholic. It’s really extraordinary.
Two hours ago I had to let go my beloved cat because she was to sick to stay..... This song is so beautiful and makes me cry even harder. Goodbye Balou. Thank you for your 15 years of love. I'm going to miss you so much....
@@richardleeuwerik6824 I lost my cat two years ago and I’m still not over it. I feel for your loss 💕
The last part of this song with the video just kills me.
you will dance with her in heaven, thats 100%
So glad I came across this band but most importantly, this absolute masterpiece.
Don't cry because it's over....smile because it happened
😎
Nothing ever happened, nothing at all
That's the problem boi
Such a good message
@@Korhh meeting her/him must be enough
Don't smile because it's over....cry loudly because it happened
This song is the Delorean that takes us back to the past and it doesn’t take 88 mph or even 88 seconds. It is instant.
In the world of 90 percent fake relationships and sufferings this song gives the hope to search for that 10 percent true love..
sorry there's nothing about this type of music that is "true love". it's idealism and fantasy romance. love the music but its dangerous to let the nostalgia and beauty make you believe in idealism
Fishing for something that doesn't exist bro. Relationships take work.
@@kevinobrien1602 relationship sure takes time but it only works when the other party is not for your money and is committed to you
@@perennialistperspective its not about idealism its about trust and honesty in a relationship.. which 90 prcnt of the relationship doesnt have..
@@AMSHelmetandAccessoriesOutlet basic human instinct for women is to look for a man that can provide. Food, shelter, security. It may seem to be the "gold digger" mentality, however for men, their driving force is to spread their seed. Its basic psychology. Watch net geo. We are all carbon based life forms and other than being self aware our traits mimic much of an animalistic nature. Just my 2 cents though.
I saw this video when i was unemployed without a job. I finally have a job with 6 months experience. Life always doesn't stay same if you hustle. Party to let of sorrow and get back to work
😢I am in the same boat looking for work, found this video by chance.
@@kidronreddy1671 I wish you the best. Try to remember that luck and good fortune doesn't happen on its own. Put in the effort and it'll build upon itself. Making good habits is the first step in achieving a goal. I recommend reading/listening to the book Atomic Habits if you need a good framework for this.
I've probably listened to this song a 150 times in the last three months. It keeps getting better.
This song made me survive long rides with my car and always raised my mood. A masterpiece, cant stop humming this Song in my mind.
This song is worth the price of admission for "Days of Thunder" alone.
I’m
Addicted to this band. Such a great throwback sound
This song was made for this!! And the memories of my life that never existed!!
The "could have been" footage where they make a home together and have a kid absolutely kills me
fucking cried watching this in a theatre
@@rufukyduky same here
it's so freaking stupid. They could've been together because they clearly loved each other. What kind of idiots makes such stupid choices? Oh right, hacky screenwriters. Sorry but I want my entertainment to have happy endings and make me feel happy, not leave me sad and depressed. There's too much of that in the real world to get it from escapism as well
I found the Midnight after a real rough patch in my relationship and their music helped mend us both. Sad/happy dancing to this song in the kitchen is an 11/10. Never give up, never let go of the things that matter.
Keith Coogan as Brad … Keith’s a great guy, then and now. I had the pleasure of working with Keith on a tv project as well as on stage. He’s great to work with, a very talented and generous actor.
I just can't get enough of 00:16 - 00:21, she's so pretty and the music fit this movie perfectly.
Thank you, you earned my subscription.
good cut!
Bro I was just about to say the same damn thing lol
For me it's probably 4:25 to 4:40. Just prefect blend of music and cinematography.
Guys for me is just perfect! I love the whole cut
You give me a reason to rewind back when I'm already in the end...

Yeah.
This song reminds me that there was a time in my life when I was incredibly in love and happy.
You're not alone. I cannot help but fantasize about happier times -- truly a love-inducing track.
I’m with u there friend. I feel as if I’ve let life just sail by me, the regrets are piling up 🙈
Watched La La Land last night for the first time and it left a similar emptiness inside me at the end.
Ah well, we’re still above ground I suppose 🙄
Can't relate
abuseofviolence Be grateful. Many will never know what love feels like.
Lucky you some people never have felt love.
I hope this kind of music never disappear.
This is the song that sparked again the love for Retrowave.
The Midnight is a music legend of 21st century.
Love how this kind of music is being accepted in modern times despite not in a mainstream way. Let the youngs and the adults feel it all the same.

I played this song as I proposed to my girlfriend last night, and she said yes right away. The Midnight doesn't get the credit they deserve, and Naani's music videos made really bring a whole new vibe to the genre.
How's the relationship going now ?
