I didn't think that a set of cranks could get any uglier, then you pointed out the corrosion. JUST KIDDING! Thanks for the overview of the cranks. I do have a Hope seat collar, which is also made in the U.K. 😃

I buy this crank in EU when they had 35% discount on the website great price even i need to pay additional VAT in my country. I have cranks oval chainrings and stem. Overall good price good quality product.
Only one thing is disturbing me that's both crank coming little bit loose even on the short ride ( i don't have opportunity tu ride longer than 20km in th winter) when i assembled them i put the grease on the tread but i think the blue Loctite is what tu need to be used in this case. I want contact they and ask about them on this.
    Edit:
Good point, about the lip on the crank where the bolt on chainring seats. i thing the bolts are little bit shorter compared to sram bolt (gx axs)

I can see some minor complaints with machining quality, but overall with the two sets I've received I don't have any real complaints outside of the spindle threads. Those could be a bit cleaner, but even so they worked just fine. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I'm not overly enamoured with Unite Co's machining and finishing. I was disappointed to see that my drive issues on my Bosch CX motor were predominantly related to the fact that they halved the overall amount of engagement splines on the front chainring Vs OEM. A single impact with a rock was more than enough to shear the spline, rendering me with no drive. The machining tolerances aren't as good as other british-manufactered CNC'd components and to be honest, apart from the splatter coating which does provide some acents to your colour scheme, I've seen better quality from ZTTO and Bucklos. Personally, on aluminium alloys, I'd rather a flat machined finish or a peened surface to eliminate fatigue initiators. Would I buy them again? Probably not, and that's even when they've got their discount codes. As for short cranks, I ended up getting 3 sets of Goldix 155-160mm cranks for the price of a discounted Unite and I was reasonably content with the value and quality of them.

Made in UK after Brexit? This means not competitive in EU any more, sorry. I was buying a lot of stuff from UK-based web shops (CRC/Wiggle (RIP), Planet X etc.) before, but not any more, today UK-made stuff is just more expensive than I can afford myself. Such a shame.

That is valid. However for the US market the pricing is very competitive based on my research.

    An indication of poor quality
