I think memberships are so awesome but so many entrepreneurs don't understand what it takes to run one at a high level. Thanks for breaking this down so well Graham

Dude...this was just the perspective I was looking for. I'm on Podia and keep waffling back and forth between doing an online course or starting a membership...of course, the waffling keeps me from committing and doing too. Really loved how you shared pros and cons about both with great advice and insight too. Also, just dig the not-over-produced, conversational style. Thanks again. Best!

Hey bud, I think you need to up your shutter speed. It looks like every time you move a little you blur out a little. Make sure your shutter speed is double your frame rate or higher. Double is best. Also try a higher fstop so you don't go out of focus when you move back and forward. Use lights or up ISO to compensate exposure. Great content though. I like your Kajabi video too. Getting started with them.

QUESTION! What about combining the two? My end goal would to have a library FULL of courses and other digital products which people pay a monthly subscription to have access to. All under the same niche/audience. What are your thoughts about that? I have a strategy I use to drive high amounts of leads for my business (10,000+ new somewhat targeted emails a month). I want to make my paid content accessible to as many people as possible, hence wanting to go with the subscription model.

Why would a membership site be better than using a facebook group?

    • @GrahamCochrane
      @GrahamCochrane  4 ปีที่แล้ว

Great question. A membership site is MORE than a FB group, although it can certainly include one. It generally involves three elements: content, coaching, and community. The FB group is only the community piece. Although you could argue that you could add content (videos, PDFs) and coaching (live Q&As and answering questions) in a FB group.
So yes, you CAN build a legit membership site on only FB, but there are other challenges. How will you accept recurring payment? How will you keep up with members who cancel payment, making sure they no longer have access to the FB group? What if half the people who want to join your membership don't use FB?
      Hope that helps!

For your membership site; can you have an affiliate link to give your members and others to advertise with; a way to get more members. Even though the money will probably be low. For example if you have a 10 dollar monthly membership price; perhaps give the affiliate 50% of this; 5 dollars; just for the first month payment of the new member; the affiliate found?

Loved this video! It's really helpful to hear your opinion! I have a question though... I created an online course ($199) and have launched it twice and only sold one. I'm feeling a bit defeated and thinking about turning it into a smaller course at an entry price point ($35) focusing on ONE thing. Then use this as a tripwire to a membership? I have a small audience but it's growing. I know my ideal customer likes membership sites as they prefer the low price point each month, the community vibe and the access to ask questions. Does this sound like a solid plan or do you have any recommendations?

    • @GrahamCochrane

I have a yoga studio and a lot of my members have agreed to stay with us as far as we can continue offering yoga classes every day. I also do workshops thru the year, which now will have to create. Quick question, can I do both just using Kajabi? Or will I also need to get them on sites like teachable or thinkific. I'm looking for a central solution. Currently I have a wordpress website plus subscription to software to manage my memberships, process payments and schedule management. I watched your other video on using Kajabi and I'm very interested. In your experience can Kajabi centralize all my different sites and software in one? I hope my question makes sense and thank you for your support

What do you think about having a blog where a person can read a little bit of the articles but then needs to join a monthly subscription to read them in their entirety? (the subscription being like $10/mo)

What is a typical cost of your online courses and in them, do you do video AND a workbook?

Hai there Graham. Been watching your videos about kajabi for quite a while now. Really awesome and helpful content.
I understand that in kajabi we have the option to create a sales page and an upsell. But its limited to only one upsell right.
I have a main product and 2 courses that i want to upsell.
Can i use leadpages to build my sales funnel and the connect it to kajabi to deliver the courses?
I just can't seem to figure out how when someone complete the registration, kajabi will send a link for their log in details.
Can you help me on this ?
