Thank-you! Many Reaper videos highlight the same handful of plugins. If it weren't for your video it would take me years to discover these JS plugins. The cherry on top is these plugins will be useful for my personal workflow
Reaper default plugins 'dated', 'not as good as'.....no, they just don't have a GUI and that's intentional from Cockos and will probably never change. In fact, Reaper plugins are more up to date than most plugins as Reaper is updated more frequently than any other DAW on the market....sometimes daily. ReEQ has been my go to EQ since 2009 and if they made it look different, they'd simply spoil it.
Bang on, the fx plugins that come with Reaper are superb, just because they don't look fancy doesn't mean that the don't work. In fact Reaper's plugins are far better than a lot third party plugins.
Will definitely check those out thank you! Once you get to know the Reaper stock plugins, you'll understand the paid shiny ones much better in the future too. They're not wrapped in tinsel. But they work very well.
Awesome Reaper info, mate, really unique plugins that plugin companys would charge $99 and up, by the way the stock plugins are way better then a lot of paid plugins
I enjoy your enthusiasm for Reaper and liked the presentation of a selection of the included effects etc. I have used Reaper for over 12 years , it definitely is my goto Daw. I wonder if you have used the included Reatune….I recently have…it is nothing less than amazingly amazing . It’s intended for auto-tune correction of vocals (manual or automatic) it is as good as any voice correction ,VSTs I have ever purchased . It has per Key function and chromatic correction options and is one of best kept secrets on the planet 😂🙏🙏🏿👍🎩
Reaper is the best, and the stock plugins is no less than pro quality, better than some expensive plugins in my opinion, it just doesn't have a gui, obviously to save resources
Nice one! Didn't know about these two eels and their plugins. Thanks for the heads up! :-) Also what's the Logic-looky-likey theme? fLogic or iLogic or somesuch...? I wanna try it.
Spot on, It's I Logic V2! By default, the background was a bit on the grey side for my liking so I also made the highlights darker using Reaper's built-in theme editor (much easier to use than it sounds, haha)
@@EoinBlunnie Cheers my man. It's a great clean theme! I may give it another run. There's a newish one called Peace, beautifully thought through, which I'm using right now. It's the dev's first attempt and it has just a few wrinkles still but it's gonna be amazing! Now ..... it's time to check out these tasty plugs! Thanks again...🙂
hi...does aramanth allow midi in and let you play it chromatically as an instrument?...or do you have to resample output and drop in a sampler?...thanks
Great question! I think you'd have to resample the output - as far as I'm aware, Amaranth can only sample the audio output of a track (whether it's the output of an instrument or just an audio file).
These are amazing dude, you gotta make more videos about jsfx, it's one of the most underrated aspect of reaper. Tukan plugins are the new best.

Saike plugins are amazing! props for pointing that out

you mean ReaEQ? ReEQ is the JSFX on the video, ReaEQ is the stock plugin.
They're pretty good, but they're not the best on the market. Dan Worrall compares ReEq very well.
Amazing video Eoin!! SEQs is insane been playing around with it a lot. And ravager is just OOF.

Thanks for these...That SEQS makes some crazy good sounds. Nice one.
Good info...Subbed!! Keep them coming, I love Reaper and you introduced me to new(ish to me) tools!!
"to increase the weirdness, i guess" 🔥🤣
just awesome 😎
love your reaper skin
Saike also has the Swellotron, kinda experimental but always sounds incredible. Filther is another banger.
Have you checked out the Tukan Studios ones?

Awesome! If you haven’t already you should check out the plugins from Geraints … they are also great!
Atlantis Reverb is so good

do the granular controls work only when you freeze or continually from the buffer if you let it free run?...thanks
