I love stroking a lipless! It's one of my main retrieves and can really get those fish fired up. But, I've found you need the right bait shape for it. To me, a Red Eye Shad style is perfect because of how it flutters on the fall. I haven't had the same type of success with something like a Bill Lewis Rat-L-Trap. Although those are great baits, they just don't stroke as well for me. And, of course, Happy Thanksgiving, Steve! Here's hoping it's a great one!

I definitely enjoy fishing it. It always amazes me how free of debris those hooks can be through a lot of stuff.

I've smoked the bass with the ol yoyo retrieve but I don't think I've gotten a single bite with a straight retrieve lipless crank

One of the lures I'll never use again from the bank. My lake owns 4 of mine, I wont buy any more. Caught 1 fish.
Yes, bank fishing with these can be very difficult. They would get stuck a lot depending on the water.
