a little bit of an advice from an old collector, dont jump too hard into series, dont try new manga, dont blind buy, try not to go for ongoing series, dont get the new hot series. What to do, when a completed series gets translated get that, for example kaiji or parasyte or berserk deluxe editions, when something completed in japan comes out in english get it. Now for the grey area discounts, when there is a sale or discount dont buy just because, pause for a second think would you ever buy that then decide. Grey area two mangas that have an anime, maybe wait until the anime gets finished to decide if you like it enough to buy it. For example i really liked bakuman while it was coming out but after it finished i felt satisfied and had the urge not never visit it so saved a loved of money not buying any bakuman volume, because the anime had the complete story and it was very faithful, on the other hand i bought the entire naruto series and its my biggest regret, because i thought it was going to end instead of doing boruto, i spent so much for something i had an average level of enjoyment.
Awesome haul once again! I also jumped in on FMA hardcovers with Vol 1 the series is very well regarded . That gambling series I hear is really really good the characters are true to life thank goodness we can read about them in manga I would never go near that element in the “real” world .

I really recommend Parasyte, the anime is out but the manga is even better and there are side stories as well that haven't been adapted into animation.

Great video! The manga for Noragami is wayyyy better than the anime, in my opinion. Like, I read the manga first and was so excited to watch the anime and then I was just so disappointed. The comedy and drama hits just way better in the manga for some reason. (and you're right, the spines are gorgeous!)
Use apps like Offerup, ebay & reddit. I've seen some fire ass deals. Searching for them deals is a chore but it's really worth it if spending the least amount of money you can is important.
Yeah definitely what kevboba says here is the way to go. Facebook Market also is a great place to look. But yeah you definitely have to be vigilant and constantly be on the hunt. Never pay retail unless you absolutely must. And if you’re ordering from right stuf, try to always save enough to get free shipping option, and I’d cop the membership if possible (you’ll definitely end up making your money back before a year). Penny pinching like this might seem like a waste of effort in the start, but all those small savings will eventually compound to 2, 4, 6 or even more volumes worth.
Definitely call up USPS although they probably won’t help much. Worst case scenario you’ll end up having to file a search form on the USPS lost package page. I had to do that recently and had to file a claim with Rightstuf cause a package I ordered awhile back hasn’t moved since February 20th lmao. No one can find it and it’s likely getting auctioned off like all the missing mail from USPS. Sucks 😔
