    Freakin' brilliant!! Play ball, lose ball into the river, kids scared of river snake. Cool blue dude swims to ball, confronts snake, vanquishes and tames snake, dances on its hood, retrieves ball. Legend.

      you guys in the comment section need to chill, Krishna is indeed a cool dude. Although he's not blue, he's dark-skinned, many of our dark-skinned gods and goddess became blue and green thanks to colonisation and colourism.

      @@waterfallsdontsaymeow2917 Many of our great saints and poets referred Lord Rama and Krishna as Neela megha Shyama which means blue like Sky and Godess matangi as maata marakata shyamaa. Goddess Gayathri has five faces which are mukta, vidruma, hema, neela and dhavala means pearl, red, gold, blue n white. I felt his description was like eka shloki Ramayana. 😊🙏

    I am from Thailand, which was part of the ancient Indosphere, I can see how my ancestors tried to best capture this sacred expression into our classical dance. Although time has given rise to new styles, but I feel that through dance our ancient cultures still preserve this sacred bond that only the gods could have bestowed on mankind.

    • @denseone
      @denseone 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@nutanbyakod2781 Yes. Thank you. I believe the meaning in for "Kirti" may have evolved for Thai usage, here meaning "honor", so kirti-putra ... "Son of Honor". Originally, the Thai alphabet allowed for it to trace the name/pronunciation back to its sanskrit roots, but during WWII the alphabet was "modernized" to accommodate the typewriter and one of the markers was omitted changing the pronunciation in Thai from "putra" to "butr".

    I don't say this flippantly but, the piece was so inexplicably beautiful that if I could like it 10 times I really would. My god what was that !!! U bought life to the song. How did u ace everyone's expression? Your dance is more than enough to understand the innocence of boys, the evil nature of the snake, the courage of Krishna, the scenario of Vrindavan. It was more than just a story. It felt like you saw this with your own eyes and tried to recreate the scene. I am still in shock.

      It is a rendition which depicts Lord Krishna (as a young boy) playing with other children, losing the ball in a lake which is the house of a poisonous serpent. He then goes on to tame the serpent and ends with dancing on it's head which the serpent gracefully accepts after recognizing the divinity of Krishna.
      Here are some images of the same:

      Lemme help you,
      Lord Krishna is said to be the most handsome, pretty and gorgeous of them all....
      it is said that once lord Krishna was playing ball with his friends, and their ball fell in a lake, where there was a seven headed poisonous snake, so everyone urged Krishna to get the ball... And krishna fought with the snake, and krishna danced on the snake's head.... This dance depicts that fight, where in the poet has written it in such a way that the battle is going on in front of him, and he's praising the beauty lord Krishna... The grace, the moves, the way krishna dances, also u can hear the snake's hissing in the song it tops everything in the dance...
      I wish I could attach some pictures so that u would get an idea... None the less you can google "kaliya mardana" u will get images n I would urge u to watch this video after that... U will enjoy it even more

      @@glory207 This song describes the composer's description of the Kalinga Nartana episode, a very famous incident in the life of Sri Krishna and narrated in the various scriptures including the celebrated Bhagavatam. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaliya for more details. Incident involves a snake called Kaliya that poisons the river Yamuna and how Sri Krishna vanquishes the serpant by dancing on its head. Characters in the dance would involve the snake, the river, and Lord Sri Krishna.

    Out of the 64 Kalas (forms of art), classical music and dance are the two most important Kalas of the Superspirit/Supersoul to speak to the mankind. Higher mathematics is not achievable by everyone without enough effort and discipline, since the divine spirit speaks complex calculus and dynamics and not mere calculation of mean and standard deviation in an excel sheet for business.

    I’ve always thought Thillana was very hard and tiring, and was put off it easily, but this is SUCH AN INSPIRATION! The dancing on the ground looks much more harder, yet you did it so gracefully like it was a piece of cake! Loved this and this really gave me a boost in determination and added more to my love of dance..Thank you!❤️

    Ich bin kein Inder und habe mich auch bisher nicht viel mit Indien befasst. Aber ihr beim Tanzen zu zusehen ist eine Freude. Und das sie dabei auch im Tanz eine Geschichte erzählt...finde ich klasse. Vielleicht liege ich da falsch, aber Yoga und Tanz ähneln sich stark.

    She was completely lost in this dance.. The steps were dapperly done and with such brilliant expressions.. It seemed that she is not just playing the role of krishna for a few minutes but it seemed that the situation was happening with her. This shows her devotion for dance. And that's what needed the most.. I'm no one to judge her dance.. But what I can do is; pray for her bright dancing career.
    May God shower his blessings on you (and everyone) .
