These little trucks/jeep is awesome, especially when you install some oil filled shocks. I installed wltoys 124016 shocks on mine and it was a absolute ripper on the sand dunes in paddle tyres. Has more than enough power for a small 16th scale
Yeah I’m def going to upgrade the shocks. I was going to ask you. Did you see in the vid I was talking about the front diff. Mine really stiff. Is yours the same. Mine is really notchy🤔🤔
@@RCRoads yeah it’s a great little Rc basher. Handles Really well and already has a brushless setup in it. Check out my other video when I took it to the beach. RC Car: JJRC Gantry Pro Brushless on Paddle Tyres at the beach with @rccrazy th-cam.com/video/F3bcmxrGJgU/w-d-xo.html
@ I wouldn’t run anything bigger than 2s. If it’s all stock. If you want to ru 3S, then I do recommend 1500 mah, that should fit snug into the battery tray
It is very interesting how many names these RC's go under - WLToys, Joys Tech and SuChiYu and also JJRC! Yup, I recognise the Controller too! The Controller actually feels very nice to me, totally on par with the HBX 16889A controller. The front diff is either incorrectly assembled or the grease has hardened. The diffs on my Cheetah move freely after I serviced them, I can spin the one wheel with just my finger both it the front and back.
I am still trying to determine what makes these RC's so much neavier than the HBX 16889A and 16889A PRO because the non brushless cars of these also have nylon diffs and gears, and the metal brace cannot account alone for so much more weight than the HBX.
Everything is stock straight out of the box. It does come with a nickel metal hydride battery, but I like to use Lipo instead . they have more power and more officiant. The servo and the shocks are all stock standard. But to answer your question, I did end up buying some WL toys oilfield shocks and they work a treat. I think I used wltoys124019 shockers Thanks for watching.👍🏼🚗
Hello, mine is going full throttle without pressing the remote, it happens also sometimes when i press the middle inverter button. Do you thini its the esc or the remote ? Thank you
Possibly could be an ESC issue, obviously just check make sure you have healthy batteries in the remote control and as always turn on the remote control first then your car but also make sure that you’re throttle adjustments are set to 0 and that it’s not cranked all the way to full throttle
@@anisghil on your remote control there should be a little knob labelled TH which is your throttle control. What you want to do is Centre it in the middle, then slowly dial it clockwise until the car starts moving and then just back it off and then that should be set.
Got one of these for Xmas for my son. The middle long bar part seems to be moving out of place and the RC won’t move unless i push it up into place, but it eventually comes loose again. Is this fixable? Hope you have can help. Thanks
I haven’t come across this issue. But just make sure your top plate and diff housings are nice and firm as these gold the center shaft in place. I haven’t had one come Loose. Just go over all your screws
Nice unboxing mate looking forward to the shock upgrade and a speed test. Why they added half decent stuff to it and then put them shocks on it is beyond me 🤦🏻♂️ At least you have a nice quiet to give it a test in 👍🏻
Yeah, you think with a brushless set up they would at least give you oil filled shocks like I know we’re gonna spend more but sometimes you want something that’s just ready to run. Not saying it is it, but it would just be nice to. Yeah the street is nice and quiet too. Sometimes I go to the corner and I can really give it a good thrashing

@@angesrc It does not heat up due to this tightness?
It's plenty fast and has some nice headlights. The body design looks good and overall it looks like plenty of fun. Great job. 👍

What’s the maximum batt capacity that would be safe?
I was looking at a 4500mah 18650 batt. Will it be ok?

Yeah it’s weird hey. It’s like a pair of jeans. Just with a different label. 🤣
Not sure if anyone has noticed, but there is a plastic film on the body for protection when shipping. It peels off.
Hello, yes you have to remove it before aplying the stickers
This the same base as the 16101 pro and 16102 pro?
Any idea how I can bind the remote with a new ecs?

What servo, battery and shocks did you end up going with?

Yeah I’ve ended up doing that. Just a half turn on all tbe screws and is sweet now. 👍🏼🚗
