Not only is Karl wrong most of the time, the level of each 'wrongness' is often jaw-dropping in its idiocy. Add to that the arrogance of clinging on to an opinion that started forming seconds before (as he kept his mouth talking) and you have a profoundly wrong guy. Even if we agreed that Karl was 50/50 right/wrong, his idiocy around space and space travel alone is enough to want to find him and force him to read a children's book about the planets, the Apollo program, NASA etc. Hell, even 'dishwasher on Mars' is worthy of a clip across the ear.
It's moments like that when I kinda feel sorry for Karl. He almost certainly has a learning disability. He has no reading comprehension and lacks focus enough to listen when he's being told something. His brain is full of thoughts he cannot articulate. He has an imagined understanding of the world around him that has nothing to do with reality. And he has almost no ability to relate to human beings.

And he has imagination but his ability to relate to human beings is hindered by his lack of information and experience. He doesn't lack focus, he just gets overwhelmed and overly focused sometimes. He thinks very deeply and quite clearly about things, but he doesn't think very "widely". He starts with wrong assumptions, so he comes to the wrong conclusions. He is your average joe, misinformed, he read something somewhere and might be misremembering it (like that washing machine on Mars thing. The article said that the rover has the weight of the washing machine) and has opinion about it. Like in another episode, "Why would anybody in Africa want a goat? They don't have food or water anyway and they would need to feed it, innit?" The wrong assumptions are: What does goat eat? It probably eats everything like humans do. So why would you want to have a goat? The right information is: They have grass and water in Africa, grass is not edible for humans but it is for goats. Goats produce milk which is edible for humans. Thus, it is a way to solve the hunger problem. But Karl is focused on his own experience. "I don't need goat, I wouldn't want to get goat for Christmas, why would anybody want to get one?"

It is eventually going to happen with the help of medicine and technology, unfortunately we, probably, won't be around by then.

Dankest Eevee the reasons why my mum had one of the paintings was due to the fact that she lost her 1st born son at the age of 7 and the little boy featured in the painting reminded her of the child that she lost. That's why we have one of the paintings, I'm sorry but I have no idea why they were so popular with the rest of the people who had/have one of the images.....

Karl is definitely one of the men Ricky referred to from prior generations where if Suzanne was suddenly absent for whatever reason Karl would be a goner within a week
When Karl was talking about modern cavemen, he was referencing the North Sentinelese people in the Andaman/Nicobar islands. Little has been determined of their language, and much of the data on them has been via observation. Weren't out of the Bronze Age until a shipwreck on their coast gave them access to metal, thereafter being used in the projectiles against helicopters.

c. 47:00 very strange (wrong?) argument from Ricky Gervais: He thinks everyone would be perfectly happy if everyone died randomly in their sleep, but seems rather everyone would just be afraid of sleep in that case.

I genuinely felt sorry for Karl when they were laughing at him after reading his diary entry about throwing away the letter addressed to Mr Dilkington. I don't know why.
@23:29 ; they accuse Karl of having no imagination while effectively they are being ignorant. Karl just keeps saying he has no interest in going back to his childhood cause he has lived it and has the memories. He just wants to see a history that he hasn't seen yet. Like quite often i feel they make Karl look dumb whilst maybe they are the ones being dumb/shortsighted.
When he talks about thinking in your accent i think he’s right. I remember once seeing someone saying that your first language isnt necessarily the first language you learnt but the language you think in. The person said they were Indian but had lived in england for so long that they had begun to think in english instead of hindi so their native language was no longer their 1st language. I know i think how i speak and not just conceptually like ricky and steve says

WOW RICKY HAS MADE QUITE A LOT OF MONEY OFF THE TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS OF KARL.
Haha this is not real karl is a creation of ricky steve and karl
Ricky has based all his success on other people. So it’s no surprise
@@Cooz-h1l household name because of Steve's writing.
@@1who4me so so untrue
Karl Pilkington is a genius, i will only watch him in the Ricky Gervais show, i would love to spend 1 day with Karl on the ricky gervais show.
Me too #Lisa #ILoveKarlPilkington
Moaning of life is pretty good at the very least watch the episode where Karl gets a hair piece but a good one. Seeing Karl so happy is worth it.
I wish Karl had Elon Musk's money.
*reading from Elon Karl’s diary.
*met with a wealthy oil sheik in Dubai.
*he showed me his collection of Ferraris
*I wondered why he needed so many cars, considering he only had one arse.
*didn’t much like Dubai. Too much sand. And hot.
*I don’t really see the point in building a city where it doesn’t look nice to start with.
*comes back to my question about the Ferraris. What good’s a load of cars when you’ve naught to drive to but sand?
1:04:16 IIRC, Steve cracked up trying to say this and it took 3 tries, because his laughter made Ricky laugh before he even knew what Karl woke up and said.
If I’m right, it’s too bad they left that bit out (probably for time) because it SLAYED me.
Regardless, we still joke about this moment to this day. I’ve got some Karl-ish tendencies.
I really love the way karl thinks
I had a cb back in those days and bizarrely my handle was Elephant Man. But no ladybreakers wanted an eyeball so I changed it to a 2000ad character called Stainless Steel Rat. Yeah like that was gonna work.
Finally I settled on Pilkio 1 but some round headed twat challenged me to a boxing match. He sounded hard as nails so I went back to being penpals with myself.

c. 47:00 very strange (wrong?) argument from Ricky Gervais: He thinks everyone would be perfectly happy if everyone died randomly in their sleep, but seems rather everyone would just be afraid of sleep in that case.
The funny thing is, Karl has predicted alot of things that are happening or has happened recently
REAL TALK LIKE THE DIVV WITH A PAN ON HIS HEAD IN HOZZY
I love how Karl listens to the kinks ❤
I come here to think😁. Karl is actually a very quick, clever, uniquely, funny fella. What a brilliant show. Thé animation, The endless topics, The cups of coffee .....Such a good time😁. TY for posting. From the brilliant mind of Gervais.
Thankyou guys
CB Radio wow that takes me back. I remember meeting up with a couple of girls me and a mate were talking to . I think it was called an eyeball.
They should publish Karl’s journal. Every year.
I genuinely felt sorry for Karl when they were laughing at him after reading his diary entry about throwing away the letter addressed to Mr Dilkington. I don't know why.
I love these videos!
And I love you
@23:29 ; they accuse Karl of having no imagination while effectively they are being ignorant.
“Forget it, if you don’t get it” That should be absolute philosophical line of the 21st century.
Jaw dropped at 38:50
It might just be the most brilliant thing I’ve heard in a while...
...or the dumbest
POR97212 The real answer: The Big Bang actually didn’t make any sound at all, because sound does not travel in space.
My old science teacher in high school used to refer to it as “The Big, Silent Expansion” because of that.
I love the animations
Right! Very Hanna Barbara, like The Flintstones or The Jetsons. Also reminds me of Bullwinkle and the Fractured Fairytales cartoons. Brilliant!
Karl's no rocket scientist but anyone can be made to sound stupid around an uncharitable audience who parses everything they say. And he doesn't bother defending himself when Ricky deliberately misinterprets him for comedic value. Still funny as hell though.
+unknown Ha! You're just as unintentionally funny as Karl. Thanks for setting down your drool cup long enough to provide me with a laugh, mate. Cheers!
+Turboretard speak for yourself. It's embarrassing
docelephant Well... he’s right isnt he ? Absolutely smarter than you ;)
I think he is a dimwit, but even dimwit can say something wise now and then... But he really is very stupid on science and logic..
It would be actually annoying to listen to them constantly taking the mic in real life.
49:20 crazy how Karl's profound thoughts are getting treated as plausible conspiracies now by creators that claim them as their own makes you wonder what else originated from karls mind😂😂😂
Karl is so much after than them that he lets them make fun of him while he continues on as if they aren't even really there... Lmao he's over them and their insults. He's very smart. Some strange thoughts but at least he thinks for himself.. lmao. I love Karl!
