Exactly. After Season 4, they used Hawks New Stature as One of, if not THE best Fighter in the show as a way to push some of the Less experienced Fighters like Kenny, Devon and Demetri. It sucks seeing him get thrown in the dirt as of late.
MiYagi-Do makes people soft. Miguel's change after the merge is case and point. Kreese, Silver, Daniel, and Devon may be sociopaths but Kim Sun Yung, Kreese, Silver, and Kim Da Eun are still right.
Two things though. He lost to Kenny on scuffed reasons like getting cheap shorted and the ref which counted the “Silver bullet” as a “forefit” rather than giving him time to recover. Daniel was also upset with Johnny and Mikes whole dispute because like he said. “You and I both know Hawk should be going.” And then asks Johnny if he really thinks they have their best fighters.
Here’s my logic, if you were an All Valley champion or at least made it to the semi finals then you should automatically be first priority for the Sekai takai when it comes to choosing the 6 fighters.
Hawk has the most character development in the entire series because he embraced basically all styles of karate taught to him and he went through multiple character arcs gotta give him props for that but it seems like after season 4 the writers dont know what to do with him anymore just BRING BACK S4 HAWK I BEG OF YOU u also really like his win some and lose some mentality it really shaped his character

With season 6 Hawk you gotta remember it’s only part 1 and Hawk had a tone of conflicting feelings displayed with the MIT stuff. It really had him uneasy throughout all of Part 1 and when he finally spills the beans to Demitri it didn’t lift any weight off of his chest. Demitri just added the same amount back by teasing and reminding Hawk of his decisions. So throughout his fights he wasn’t really the same in season 6. But the big thing is that the writers have a lot of characters and in order to push some character’s narratives in the right direction or conclude there story they need the weaker characters to beat someone more powerful like Hawk to show progression. So let’s see how part 2 and 3 go

In Season 2, even though Hawk takes many Ls, he does score a win at Coyote Creek. He out-lasts everyone but Miguel and Stingray (due to dirty tricks). Yes, he even out-lasts Tory, who put Miguel on his ass on her first day at the dojo and trained in other martial arts before. And Hawk's Ls in Season 2 play into his arc. This isn't present after Season 5!
Bringing in new character after Season 3 is what ruined the focus of Hawk and other characters. The show never needed Kenny or Devon but the writers thought otherwise. The ruined it.

I couldn't agree more, ever since season 5 he regressed so much how did bro go from winning the all valley to losing to kenny of all people, Kenny doesn't even know miyagi do at that point nor does he have close enough experience to beat them, yes I know he did the silver bullet and the ref got paid but hawk should've been smart enough to not be over confident another issue I had with both these season5 and 6 is we barely got interactions between johnny and hawk, only interaction is when hawk couldn't breathe and johnny was near his side and that's it yes hawk is with miyagi do but as of now its a combined dojo and johnny was his first sensei, made him come out of his shell so yh overall season 5 and season 6 part 1 made hawk so weak and hopefully him and Miguel get a comeback in part 2 and 3

His wins weapon competition him and demetri 2v5 and demetri get pack wash I think because I didn’t see him and he knows out a formidable foe which is someone who’s respected or feared so yeah hawk is guaranteed back in the rest of the season do underestimated the goat he really lost that many times after season 4 because he hold back against mostly everyone besides Miguel n Robby and demetri so trash for doing that little sneak in S6
Hawk's journey is complete. The only things to do (1) patch things up with Demetri (2) probably help Kenny win in the Sekai Takai (3) get another gf. That's it. Hawk prioritizes his friendship over hurting others and has learned as much as anyone. Cobra Kai needs a new champion, so no to everyone but Kenny or Demetri.

Season two in season five in my opinion are the best seasons of this whole series although season four to me was the weakest Eli’s redemption storyline was the High Point. The only thing that was disappointing about season five was at the end of the season. You could see him growing the mohawk back becoming Hawk again in my opinion at this stage and his life, he doesn’t need to be Hawk he won the male division of the valley and he won back Moon’s heart as Eli and without the mohawk.
It sucks that he’s losing, but his loses are kinda used for power scaling, it’s not that he sucks, they just use him narratively to show how much stronger others are getting
Before I watch the video, I have to say that Hawk always been a like a zigzag. He loses the mall fight, to Miguel and gets embarrassed by Dimitri in S2. S3 is a little better, but it’s against mostly fodder….He breaks Dimitri’s arm, beats up Bruiks, who is untrained, and random fodder in the finale. Robby was distracted in their fight at the All Valley, and then gets fodderized in S5.
As a hawk/Miguel fan I already accepted that the writers ✍️ ain’t going do much with hawk and I’m not even mad no more really I just let go and just wanna fisnsh the whole show really

Season two in season five in my opinion are the best seasons of this whole series although season four to me was the weakest Eli’s redemption storyline was the High Point. The only thing that was disappointing about season five was at the end of the season. You could see him growing the mohawk back becoming Hawk again in my opinion at this stage and his life, he doesn’t need to be Hawk he won the male division of the valley and he won back Moon’s heart as Eli and without the mohawk.

Before I watch the video, I have to say that Hawk always been a like a zigzag. He loses the mall fight, to Miguel and gets embarrassed by Dimitri in S2. S3 is a little better, but it’s against mostly fodder….He breaks Dimitri’s arm, beats up Bruiks, who is untrained, and random fodder in the finale. Robby was distracted in their fight at the All Valley, and then gets fodderized in S5.
