    Pretty happy to find so much support for LS swaps on TH-cam. I bought a harness that was converted by somebody else (???) but it needs some help on the power supply side. Planning to swing an LQ4, or anLQ9 if I can find one cheap, into my crewcab R30.

    You can also out a flat (matching ) metal thing between ALL Pins an white plastic klipps to unloosen ALL at once.
    So you just need to check for the right ones an pull, no turning over and over again.

    I find it waaay easier to do this with the engine on the engine stand......plug the harness into everything on the engine you're keeping, then simply remove the wires that arent plugged in minus your pinks of course. Another advantage to doing it on the engine is it allows you to go ahead and route everything the way you want.

    I like that you're doing GM, I'm trying to figure out why my '99 Buick won't crank to start, but have you got a list of the numbers on the ECU plugs? That would make it easier to know what I need to trace.

    to run the obd2 port, do you go from the wire from the pcm (58 drk green) to the new fuseblock as on the diagram and pigtail it to the obd2 connector? Im confused

  • @thekcinnay5238
    @thekcinnay5238 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    I use the stock computer? And if I do, do I need to get it reprogrammed?

    • @LonniesGarage
      @LonniesGarage  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You will need the computer with the harness. It will need the anti theft system removed from it before it will run. I would recommend a tune when the project is done.

    so if i wanna run lets say a aftermarket tach i run the wire straight to the new tach will it also be the same with speedometer and oil pressure temp and all that stuff im be running aftermarket gauges

    • @LonniesGarage
      @LonniesGarage  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jonathan Mounz the speed signal is a vss signal. The tac can be ran from the harness. The oil will need to have a different plug and sensor from a 98 model camaro

    • @okjd159
      @okjd159 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There are a few after market speedometers that use vss signal then have a button that you push, then move the vehicle 1-4 miles to calibrate. Remember that the more accurate the miles the more accurate the spedo. Just look at their info. That way you don't have know all the tire size, gear ratio, etc to have an accurate speedo.
      Hope this helps!

      Lonnie's Garage thank you very much sir. I had a turbo 2000 silverado I built and gotta try to get back to that level. I'm going to clean and tuck all the wires on this. is it fairly simple just time consuming?
