BUT no one copied from each other as they are both based on Chinese culture of the Lion Dance. This year is the year of the dragon which is a very special year which is probably why Lion dancing characters are being released as a theme. And plus it takes ages to make animations and movesets!

Ling Yang has existed before Gaming was officially announced. He was introduced in the story of WuWa before having a massive redesign from a furry to a lion boy, and is now a playable character in CBT2. Ling Yang straight up looks better, both in the design and combat, and plays better

We'll get leaks for characters and still not see them for 1.5+ years later like yaoyao, Shenhe or the mummy girl that isn't out yet. I mean there are characters who had their looks completely finished in the story preview trailer we still haven't run into. That was released September 2020, Lyney and Lynette didn't release till August 2023. The one thing is that that redesign looks like one of Gaming's original designs and those existed before the redesign because his first leak in May described it. But even that doesn't matter in the end cause who cares, they both look cool.
Since everyone's comparing them and gaming from genshin, I definitely prefer the classic red color scheme from gaming. But I like where WW is going when they implemented the part of this dance where they jump from pillars to pillars way more... I do hope they don't make those steps just floating like that lol

@@freykiva3887 okay yeah sure i wont deny that. fun fact, all playable characters in Wuthering Waves can do plunge attacks by themselves (except pistol wielders as far as i know) since they can either jump to a certain height that can make them perform a plunge attack easily and because we can literally have a grapling hook that we can use anytime to elevate us easily and perform attacks afterwards.

@@RoverWW It's a reverse engineered private server, that's why they don't have access to some attacks in some characters. In the actual cbt the character kits are complete. The person behind this private server tho seemed to make all of Ling Yang's attacks work.
