This rendition somehow tapped into that glimmer of hope that has been beaten down over the past few years. This rendition was personal, electrifying, and unifying.
Hands down the best rendition of the National Anthem, _ever_ , gave me the chills. Nick Sirianni wasn't the only one with tears in his eyes. A performance like that is bound to evoke some serious emotional feedback. Stapleton became an icon that night.
Chris stapleton is to country what elvis was to rock and blues. Opening doors people had shut. Chills to this day watching and listening to this and to top it off playing the guitar like a modern day Picasso
Chris put heart, soul, and pure grit into that rendition. For the first time in a long time he not only made you hear the song, he made you feel it. A masterclass performance that it my opinion just cannot be topped.........ever.
This version of the national anthem hits your right in the soul. This is how a national anthem should be sang, makes you emotional and proud of your country.
@@laflame7338that’s what pisses me off the most, home of the Chiefs? Be respectful of our country and respect the ones that have sacrificed their lives to ensure our freedom
Mr Rogan...I am a Fijian from the Fiji Islands and that teared me up and pierced me to the core. If any American does not feel that....i dont know what else...keep going Sir. You have inspired a lot of people. Kudos to you. Much love from the Fiji Islands 🎉🎉🎉🎉
He is performing as he lived all the lines of the anthem , and he is emotionally telling the story to a close relative. It is admirable how some talented people can transport themselves to another reality and show all the emotions that are hidden underneath the words. Chris voice may not reach the higher notes , as some other people do, but our emotions went far beyond that, with his performance.
Tough as an American to watch and listen to this and not get emotional. Regardless of what side of the political fences you stand on or believe in, hearing that makes you feel proud to be American, despite how messed up things in this country can be at times.
I was watching it with my family, some friends and my favorite Uncle who lost part of his left leg in the Korean War.. He has since passed, but on that Sunday afternoon he got up out of his chair and stood with his hand over his heart. Needless to say I had tears streaming down my down my face as I stood beside him with my arm around his shoulders. It was a moment that I will carry with me to my grave.
I remember we all stood … families etc at a buddy’s house….and everyone in the room knew he was absolutely killing it. All of us just stood there with our jaws on the floor.
Chris Stapletons version: reminded us all of the pride we feel for our country and is being attacked and we all know it. Whitney Houstons anthem: empowered and amplified the pride we had for our country. Strengthen and unified all in one. Both very powerful for different reasons.
Whitney's was pre recorded and she lip synced it...that has already been a fact for years. Don't get me wrong, she is probably the best singer ever, but Chris was completely live.
When Americans realize that the contrived Left/Right paradigm is what's tearing the country apart. Totally contrived paradigm that serves no other purpose than to be divisive.
its funny from a european pov to see- how a great performance from a singer singing the natian athem, can make you americans forget all the bullshit- and how shitty your country is treating you.. its like.. you hear this, and your mind in completely back at level 1 once again. quite fascinating really.
Ain't that some shit??? Bad ass Joe from Kentucky is real. Bad Ass Trump from Kentucky can bring it Son. Best Anthem to date. No damn questions. This is 3:01 States of America man. Just pure baby! Love this country! We love you all USA! Tennessee loves all Americans
I am not religious but I know there is a higher power what religions call God. Chris Stapleton delivered the best most sincere performance of the national anthem of USA through that power.
It's interesting to see Siriani and Kelce and contrast their reactions to Patrick Mahomes. I have no clue what he was thinking or how he internally processes things, but compared to most of the crowd, he looked like he'd rather be getting a red hot poker up the ass than to be their listening to Stapleton singing the anthem.
I know everyone says Whitney, and I love Whitney’s music, but pull it up and listen. As a performance it’s great but it doesn’t have the hard hit passion stripped back rawness that Chris brought. Chris’s performance didn’t just bridge races.. it bridged countries. It bridged nations who hate America, it bridged divisions held for decades and there’s many comments on that in YT. Whitney didn’t achieve that
Whitney‘s rendition of the national anthem at the Super Bowl should be disqualified because she didn’t see it live. She sang it in a studio and they played it over the speakers while she lip synced
I just watched the Chris Stapleton one and the Whitney Houston one back to back. Hands down Whitney killed it. She set the standard and it still hasn’t been met but, by god Chris Stapleton was pretty frickin good!
Incredible performance , who agrees , comment if you like it
This rendition somehow tapped into that glimmer of hope that has been beaten down over the past few years. This rendition was personal, electrifying, and unifying.
If Biden wins again......😱
God Bless America, and God Bless our troops. We aren’t perfect, but this rendition is what we are. Hope, Bravery, and Brotherhood
Whitney Houston’s Anthem: The beauty of honor
Christ Stapleton’s Anthem: The pain of sacrifice/a glimmer of hope
Nobody kneeling for that one

Amen

Second best but it’s was really good
He turned it into a love song, as it should be.
Indeed!!! ❤
more like soul music
Chris stapleton is to country what elvis was to rock and blues. Opening doors people had shut. Chills to this day watching and listening to this and to top it off playing the guitar like a modern day Picasso
Probably the best way to put him in perspective. He’s wrote songs for some of the biggest country artists and can out sing them all

Brought this grown man to tears🙏
That’s not even an exaggeration!!!
He brought grown men to tears, there's nothing else to say.
Thank you for playing the whole Nationl Anthem. Respect!
I agree. Chris and Whitney. Hands down two of the best. I was a kid when Whitney sang it. So powerful. I thought my TV was gonna explode! 'MURICA!!!
Only difference is Chris was love. Whitneys was pre recorded.
