Chris Stapleton's voice cuts like a knife. This rendition was brave, soft, emotional and overall intimate, all at the same time. A true singer who did not outstand himself over the national anthem, but gave us a "sitting on my porch with my family and friends singing" moment and that is amazing!
As a soul singer and one who has sung the anthem on multiple occasions, this man has gained a new fan and much respect for that stellar performance. It will go up in history as one of the all time best performances of the National Anthem!
I'm not sure if I'm more impressed with the song, or how good you are at mimicking and explaining his techniques. Truly amazing. Best vocal coach I've seen.
You don't have to go all out...up and down. It was simple but complex and truly beautiful to listen to. The guitar mixed with it really made me proud to be an american.
His appeal is he crosses just about every genre of American music in this version. Country, blues, Rock , R&B. And it is laying people out!! Its who Chris Stapleton is all about. He touches everyone with that voice.
How in earth did a country singer learn how to how to sing like a soul singer? He has blended the two genres of music in so perfectly 🎶 hes absolutely the first country artist i have ever heard singing soul music and country music together he honestly must be a musical genius❤❤❤❤WOW❤❤❤❤
Jaron, As a Hearing Impaired TH-camr, Thank you for the generous kind words that you describe Chris's song. Many felt so moved by him and I wish I could hear what he said, also, Troy's sign reflects from history book, it is so beautiful. 🙂 You are so kind, Thank you!
Thank you for bringing attention to the ASL interpreter. I am not deaf nor an interpreter but I loved watching the interpreter and felt he added so much to this already amazing performance. He is an academy award winning actor too which is cool.
I have somehow found myself in pieces over this. I'm not sure if it was Chris's singing or also your ability to know singing so well that you kinda get to know the artist on a much deeper level than most. I find that extremely loving and beautiful. New sub here!
Not a normal video that I would watch, But you are amazing at what you do! I love your overall enthusiasm, and passion for what you do. Your positive attitude is infectious, needless to say I subscribed, and can’t wait to see more.
Stumbled across this video because I love reaction videos and I love Chris Stapleton! So happy to have found you, you're a treasure and you've got a new subscriber ❤️
It’s rare that a human understands how to use their voice the way Chris does. So much nuance in every line, and he used his voice to show his soul to the whole world.
You're beautiful for so effortlessly complimenting Chris rather than finding ways to tear him down. Nowadays, most would do their best to pick it apart regardless of how perfectly he sang our National Anthem. Your review is such a breath of fresh air... im sold on you and your channel!
I get heavy heavy Sons of anarchy vibes from Stapleton. Not just the from the look/asthetics, but the weathered soul ambience of his sound. If you haven’t seen the show, it has some wonderful song choices in its catalog.
Im not even north american but Chris Stapleton made me cry with this interpretation. Just WOW❤. Beautiful anthem btw. Cheers from the Dominican Republic! PD: Teacher, i loooove your vibe!!❤
She said it......"grit".... that was a true to self, emotionally enveloping, awe inspiring take on our nation's anthem. Not oversung, like a lot of the over dramatic oversingers from years past. There is a reason Chris has 8 grammys so far... He's the real deal!
He sounded good it all comes from listening to older soulful Black artist soul. Nothing new so it's a big deal to people whenever Caucasians do it. It's just Black singing in whiteface... period
Chris is great, but he's doing what Black artists have been doing for years. This sound isn't new and it's been here - white America just prefers it with a white face. Also, something that's been here for years...
I love how you celebrate singers uniqueness without the catty comparisons we see so much on the internet this is a breath of fresh air ! You’re brilliant at what you do !! S/n can you do Patti labelle and Micheal Bolton Motown tribute ! They wore that stage OWWWTTT!!
He could’ve flowered that up until we were all choking on petals but he didn’t have to. That man & singer is a treasure bringing together a badly divided country if only for a moment. Makes me proud & gives me hope.

People were moved to tears, and it’s moments like this, that prove- as Americans- we are more similar, than our politicians want us to believe. God Bless America, land of the free, and home of the brave. And God Bless you, Jaron.
My friends were watching this and were not interested, while I was getting chills from this performance. What a voice hats off to Chris. Best voice there is right now.
WOW WOW WOW wow just wow! I personally am blown! For so many people over the years have sang the anthem with so much power, their whole body in it, some screaming it! Always makes the song about the battle and the victory. The way he did it though was.... omgosh, like a lullaby! A peaceful ending to a long fight! So glad to see the ending of it to come that a man drops to his knees and thanks God it's over. The notes of the stings a tear falling with each pluck! A battle of memory forever etched in the minds of these men. The thick dark clouds drift away, the colors of the misty sunrise turn to bright beams of light. That was incredible, amazing and at a whole different level making it beautiful. Chris, how brilliant!! 👏👏❤
